Kaya waited outside the Pokemon center as Brayden went in.
His eyes were closed when the younger returned. "I haven't smelled a scent like this since the last time I walked through the castle gardens..." he said quietly as he let himself absorb the smell of nature.
Opening his eyes, he smiled to his lover. "Thanks, Love." he replied softly. "It sounds good." he said as he took the bottle and opened it. He waited for the raven haired boy to open his own before taking a drink.

Brayden nodded with a smile to his love, "No problem whatsoever," he assured Kaya, as he let Mac hover a few paces as he set to opening his drink. The Phione floated for a bit, putting a mini-Bounce into play to float in the air much as he would the waves, before settling on top of Kaya's head happily, yanking a bit on the prince's ponytail. Brayden took a sip of his tea, victorious with the cap-that-wouldn't-come-off, finally looking up.
He about spat his mouthful back out once he had a taste of it, however, although it wasn't due to the taste. In all reality, it had a pretty nice flavor. The honey added a bit of extra sweetness which he found interesting- But he really didn't have time to dwell on the taste, as his newest addition to the team was apparently set out to play with his prince.
Either that or he was determined to make Kaya bald. Brayden was somewhat leaning towards the latter.
"Ack! I'm sorry!" Brayden apologized, trying to brush Kaya's hair out of the small Pokemon's grip.

Kaya grinned as he took a drink of own tea. Though he didn't get far enough to swallow the mouthful before the small Phione had landed on his head and began yanking at his hair. "Yow!" he yelped as he tried not to shake the Sea Prince from his head.
"Little advice, Mac, from one prince to another." he whispered to the small Pokemon with a soft smile. "Pulling hair isn't the best way to make friends..."
He giggled quietly at Brayden's apology. "Dun worry about it." he said with a dimissive wave. "He's young so it's to be expected." he explained.
Sensing an earthen presence behind him, he turned to find a Budew staring him down. He didn't know for certain why it looked so angry, but he was certainly going to try and catch this one. Throwing a Pokeball, he called Tsuki to his side. "Seed Bomb!" he ordered, knowing the small flower's typing would resist most of the damage.
Tsuki slammed her forepaw into the ground and summoned forth a beautifully blooming, crimson lilly. The flower sprouted into life and bloomed, it's head hanging for a moment before it reared back and fired a small seed at the Budew, which imploded on impact, sucking in everything in the immediate area.
The Budew cringed and braced itself, fighting against the strange vacuum before it's small bulbs glowed, sucking some of the life from Tsuki. It didn't do much good, but Kaya took the chance and threw a Pokeball anyway.

Kaya grinned as he walked over to the Budew's ball and smiled. "Sorry Tsu, but I'm gonna train this little one for a bit." he told Tsuki who nodded in understanding. She'd go back to the PC and keep Nao and Mian company for a bit.
"Now for a name..." he started with a small frown. He didn't have a clue at the moment. "Any ideas Bray?" he asked, certain that his lover would have an idea for him to use.

Mac finally let go of Kaya's ponytail, as Brayden distracted the Phione, brushing a hand through Kaya's hair to get it out of the fins of Mac. He lifted the Phione back into his arms, dismayed to find a few silver strands of hair that came away with his hand.
"Ehhhhh, sorry again," he murmured, as Mac simply grinned impishly.
"Come on, you should be nice to Kaya," Brayden tried to reason with the Phione. He knew Mac wasn't trying to hurt the prince, but hopefully he wouldn't be harassing the hair ((on the heir... sorry, irresistible tongue twister ahoy)) anymore.
Brayden watched as the Budew challenged Kaya, smiling faintly, "Well that's one less grass type you need to hunt down," he reasoned, "Looks like this town's already good luck for you."
"Hm... a name?" Brayden pondered for a moment regarding the Budew.
"Mm, I'd say Rheia if it was a girl, Hyacinth if it was a male," he murmured after a moment's deliberation.
((Except the story of Hyacinthus and Apollo is rather depressing.

Kaya smiled softly at the Phione, unable to be angry with the young water type. "It's ok." he admitted with a grin. "I've been meaning to get a trim lately anyway." he joked as he rubbed the back of his head.
Looking to the Budew's Pokeball, he released it as Tsuki returned to her ball of her own accord and allowed her to be transferred to his PC. "So little one, are you a boy or a girl?" he asked politely.
The Budew looked up at him and sighed. "I'm a boy, not like it really matters anyway." he replied darkly.
"Then how does Hyacinth sound for a name?" Kaya asked, unsure if the small grass type was seriously as depressed as he sounded.
"Sure. Whatever. I don't care." the Budew replied, turning his back to Kaya. Life must be hard with no arms.
Kaya nodded. Hyacinth it was. Turning to Brayden, he nodded. "True, that." he agreed. "I've been needing to catch a few more these days. I haven't caught any in a while and I need to train up the ones I do have." he admitted a bit sheepishly.

{{Its kinda an interesting story. It was the only myth that came to mind when I thought of flowers at the moment, but the more I thought about it, the more the name fit.
Apollo loved a mortal prince by the name of Hyacinthus, and the two of them would spend a lot of time together. Apollo accidentally killed Hyacinthus one day while the two were throwing a discus. Some stories go that the spirit of the west wind was jealous of their love, having also loved Hyacinthus, and caused the discus to turn and strike Huacinthus, striking him down.
Apollo tried reviving his fallen love, since he was also the god of medicine. However, since the "weapon" to kill Hyacinthus was from his own hand, he could do nothing to save him. However, the power he used to attempt to save his lover seeped into the blood that fell to the grass below the prince, entering the plants, and causing a new flower to bloom. Apollo named the flower Hyacinthus, or Hyacinth, as its known by today, so that every spring, the flowers would bloom, and he'd remember his love, and his folly in striking him down.
What made me think of the story was that the Hyacinth can bloom in a a variety of colors, and all of Budew-Roserade's flowers match a color that can be found in hyacinths.
And yup, I'm a total mythology geek. sweatdrop I just like reading old stories and stuff. Most of them are more interesting than anything modern writers could come up with today.))
"Ya, but I'm sure trim a-la Mac is probably the worst way to get a haircut," Brayden sighed, lifting the Phione to his shoulder. Mac perched happily, apparently through with his yank-the-hair fix. Instead he settled for watching the two lovers, although after a moment, the sparkle of Brayden's buckler caught Mac's attention instead.
Brayden couldn't help but chuckle at the Budew's attitude. He couldn't understand what the young plant was saying, but it wasn't too hard to determine that he wasn't the most chipper of partners.
"Well, its nice to meet you, Hyacinth," he greeted, "I'm Brayden."
He took another sip of his drink, this time thankfully with no cause for him to choke on it. Brayden leaned lightly on Kaya with his Mac-less shoulder, wrapping an arm around his waist as he watched the interaction between his prince and the new addition to their crew.
"I've been thinking along the same lines," he nodded, "There are more than a few water types in my box that I need to train up a bit," he admitted.
"Hopefully once I finish raising my others in my party I can start switching some of them out for more inexperienced Pokemon," he reasoned.

Kaya giggled softly. Though it might seem strange for a man his age, it seemed to fit his personality perfectly.
{{Pause, Aunt Margarite just dropped dead on the doorstep. "Lois, I-erk!*Dies*"}}
"I'm not sure about this little one. He seems depressed...I've never had to deal with that in someone else..." he admitted a bit awkwardly.
Hyacinth glared at Kaya before he looked at Brayden. "I'm sure the pleasure's all yours." he replied in a dark tone. If this thing were human, you can bet he'd be decked out in demonic clothes and black nail polish.
Kaya took a sip of his tea again, this time truly enjoying the flavor since he wasn't yelping in pain. "This is really good!" he voiced as he lowered the bottle.
"I hate leaving my Pokemon in my PokeBox for so long, but...I haven't found a good place of my own just yet, like Sasha did on Dewford." he admitted, though his eyes fell on an old, Victorian style manor on the outskirts of the town. All thoughts otherwise left his mind as he walked towards it, eyes wide and sparkling.
"I-it-it's...beautiful..." he voiced in a barely audible whisper. He didn't care if the place was occupied or not, this was the kind of place he wanted.

((Yeah, I wasn't really sure what to call it either. Its kinda a pretty story, except for the death part. But its nice to find a story like that sometimes. I found it interesting, anyway.))
Brayden kinda got the gist of what Hyacinth meant with his comment from the Budew's deadpan tone, as he sighed, "I can see he might be a bit of trouble coming to trust you, or anyone for that matter," he dared.
"Hopefully you'll be able to show him that life is pretty good, once you get the chance to enjoy it," he paused for a moment, before admitting something, "That's my philosophy anyway. If you have to sit back and ask yourself if you're happy, that's not the way to live your life. However, if you can sit and enjoy the day, perhaps with a drink," he laughed, holding up his tea with a grin, "you'll realize that things aren't all that bad. You don't really need to examine your life to realize that you are truly happy."
"Doesn't hurt to have a beautiful companion alongside you as you enjoy said day, however," he chuckled with a wink to Kaya. He listened to Kaya's admission regarding finding a spot to settle, nodding in agreement. He had also been slightly jealous of Sasha's manor by the sea. Not because it was big or anything, but because it was a place to go home to. Not that his family back in Fuchsia wouldn't mind him dropping in for a visit, but having your own place did have a special feeling to it.
"True, I always just thought I'd return to Fuchsia once I was done with my journey, but there hasn't really been any consideration in buying land or anything. For one, I couldn't afford it," Brayden chuckled, taking another sip of his tea as he saw Kaya wander away, looking quite distracted. The water trainer paused a moment, before following the prince, curious as to what had caught his love's fancy.
He looked up at the house once Kaya had paused in front of it, unable to help his voice of agreement at Kaya's whisper.
"It certainly is pretty," he agreed. He had always liked the older style homes, as opposed to the almost cookie-cutter like layouts of most of the newer homes that had been built in most of the cities and towns he had been to. There was something about having a house that didn't care if it looked like the Jones' next door that had intrigued him. And he had to admit, the home in front of them definitely was a nice manor.

Brayden looked down at the small beaver-like Pokemon that had come out of the bushes beside the manor. At first he thought it to have been someone else's Pokemon, however, once it attacked, Tackling Brayden, the trainer realized quite quickly that it was indeed a wild Bidoof.
'Quite quick on the uptake, aren't ya, boss?'
'Shut up, Aria...'
Crashing to the pavement, finding a rather upset-looking buck-toothed wonder atop him, Brayden flailed, finally getting away from the attacking beaver. Somehow in the midst of this, he only managed to spill only a little of his tea, the open bottle remaining in his hand as he stood back up, backing up a few paces as he considered the Pokemon in front of him.
Now that Brayden had realized the he could, in fact, catch this Pokemon, the next dilemma presented itself. How to weaken the thing without knocking it out in one turn. That problem was solved when Brayden called Caliga to stand before him, nodding to the Umbreon.
"Use a Confuse Ray on it," he explained. With any luck, that would be enough to see to it that the Bidoof was unable to attack.
The Umbreon nodded, before firing a colorful beam of light from her rings at the Bidoof. The small Pokemon stumbled for a moment, before attempting to strike back with a Tackle, this one thankfully aimed at Caliga instead of Brayden.
The attack went through, as the Bidoof landed a blow on Caliga, who honestly didn't look that hurt from it. Brayden opted to throw a Pokeball, but was a little bummed to find that the ball only shook once, before the stubborn creature broke free, aiming another Tackle Caliga's way.
However, this time, the Bidoof stumbled, tripped, and landed flat on its face.

With the Bidoof a bit scuffed up from his fall, Brayden chose to throw another Pokeball, knowing that one more attack from Caliga could very well wipe out the Bidoof.
This time, thankfully, the ball took, drawing the Bidoof inside, and twitching for a few moments, before pinging softly. Brayden smiled, "Well, that's one more almost water type to check off my to catch list," he joked.
"Thanks Cali," he offered to the Umbreon, who nodded easily, before returning to her Pokeball.

Kaya nodded quietly to Brayden as he examined the exterior of the house. It had a large, fenced in section of the local flower fields for it's yard and the color scheme of the place, a bit faded from age though it was, matched the Eevee tones of the Harmonian palace. It looked like a little slice of home on the mainlands.
"This place is perfect." he voiced after a few minutes. "I wonder if it's for sale..." he wondered aloud. He couldn't help but glance at Brayden and smile beautifully, blushing from his comment about having abeautiful companion. "You flatter me, Love." he said playfully.
After a moment or two, he spoke, a bit hesitant at first. "If...If I bought this place...would..." he started, slowly."Would you...live here with me...when our journeys are done?" he asked quietly. He and Brayden could live here and raise their Pokemon together easily. This place had plenty of land for his Grass types and the river in back led to a large lake fed by the sea for Brayden's water types.
He just had to ask, even though he felt certain that he knew the answer.

Brayden looked back up to the house as Kaya spoke. It wasn't too far-fetched to imagine him living here, he mused with a small smile. Floaroma was definitely one of the nicest towns he had visited on his journeys around the world.
"I always favored the quieter towns, as opposed to the bustling cities and towns around the regions," he admitted, "Even as a child, my favorite spot in Fuchsia was the Safari Zone, since there was so little sign of human interference, even though it was owned and operated by a family in town," he explained with a faint smile. He still recalled the many trips he had taken to the preserve, most of them under less-than-legal means, considering that only trainers were supposed to be allowed into the lands.
Fences were fairly easy to climb, he had discovered.
"I honestly couldn't think of anything that would make me happier than to spend my days with you, and this would seem like a perfect spot to do so," he flushed faintly with the admission, looking to the older trainer.
"Nothing would make me happier," he whispered gently with a smile.
