Yuffie is an optional character, she isn't forced into your party like the other characters, except for vincent, hes optional too

It still doesnt affect the topic of this thread it matters that they are optional because their appearances can't greatly alter the games storyline... for example if you brought them to fight Hojo each would get their own dialogues... But they can't affect the storyline in a way that can permanently alter it, aside from their usual appearances
