Hi my name is Jenny and my favorite book is East by Eddith Pattou. Sad enough, she is not my favorite author though. My favorite author is Gary Paulson ( author of Hachet, Brians Winter, and The Car). I am working on my first book myself. If you want to know more PM me!

Hi my name is Roxanne (Rockywitch plz) currently reading Mists of Avalon by Marion Zimmer Bradley, Lady Oracle and the Edible Woman by Margaret Atwood, Naked Empire by Terry Goodkind, The Celestine Prophecy and more that I can't remember right now. I've really gotten into reading Margaret Atwood.
My favourite Authors are Margaret Atwood, Terry Goodkind, Eoin Colfer, and there are others but I can't think of them at the moment. Joan London, Gaston Leroux and there are more.
I'm currently reading more than I've mentioned but that's it for now. I look forward to discussion on a lot of the books and I'm excited to have joined this guild.

There is no way I could ever pick a favorite book. I think the majority of them are great. Mostly I like fantasy books like Eragon, Eldest, Tamora Pierce... The list goes on.

Hello! My name is Crystal, but you can also call me Shad-chan or Shadow. It's a matter of preference, really.
I have several favorite authors and books--series as well as individual books--and thus can't possibly list them all right now. My favorite genres are fantasy and young adult. My favorite fantasy authors are Mercedes Lackey, Robin Hobb, Tanya Huff, and David Eddings (though he was more of a favorite when I was younger). I also particularly enjoy Piers Anthony's earlier Xanth books, though not the more recent ones. My favorite young adult author is without a doubt Francesca Lia Block, though I have the feeling that I'd also really like Holly Black and Nancy Garden if I could just read more of their works.
I do read a little bit outside of the fantasy and young adult genres. My favorite non-fantasy, non-YA author is without a doubt Mary Renault. It's a pity that so few people have heard of her, as her book The Charioteer is, beyond any doubt, my favorite book ever.
Another favorite author of mine is Jim Grimsley, though I'm not sure how to classify him. I loved his fantasy book Kirith Kirin, his fantasy/sci-fi crossbreed The Ordinary, and his... other... "normal" (not sure how to label them) novels Dream Boy, My Drowning, and Comfort & Joy.
I apologize if I've typed too much, by the way.

I'm Tea. Right now I'm having a love affair with Jean le Carre (author of The Spy Who Came In From the Cold, Constant Gardener, etc.) but my favorites are prone to rapid change.
There's no book I'm not willing to try but to be completely honest I end up disliking many of them. But then I have found some of the best books I'll ever read in genres that I thought I would hate.

Hello, I'm Natalie, but just call me by my username or some nickname that can be derived from it. I like all sorts of books and all sorts of authors. There're too many great ones to choose a favourite in either category. Right now I'm reading The Grapes of Wrath, which is wonderful (more wonderful than most books). A couple books before that I read Pinkerton's Sister which was also wonderful. I like Dan Brown's books alot, especially The DaVinci Code and Angels and Demons. I like general fiction (young adult or adult, but adult tends to be better written), mysteries, classics, historical fiction, non fiction, some fantasy, romances if they're good and well written (ie. not cheap romance novels)... I'm open to pretty much anything though.

Well...I like any book that's written well, I guess. But I really love short stories. (I'm pretty much a sucker for them.) My all-time favourite books are Icarus Girl, The Virgian Suicides, In the House of Blue Lights, The Golden Compass, and Love in the Time of Cholera. Well...Thanks.
