There was no more tall grass to hide in for a good distance. Just barren, open terrain.

Like a shooting range.

Somebody was in there.

Roughly 25 somebodies, actually.

At the sight of the vehicle, the all opened fire.

((EDITING))
Alan breathed a sigh of relief. He had pulled some major luck in that there was nobody there. They must have gone off to do something. s**t! So there were people there. Why werent they in the thread discription like everyone else's npcs? We will never know. Well, time to help Kalis out of a spot eh? He didnt have time to deal with people. At the first crack of gunfire Alan began to push all flying pieces of metal he could find in the direction opposite of that in which he was traveling. Since he was pushing everything in the same direction, it shouldent take much concentration. He zipped off towards the Dead woods.

Hillbillies jumepd in the back of a pickup and chased Hoozer, who was as far away from the depot as he could get, right next to the forest, right?

...oh, this'd be pretty...

Coming fromt he direction of the lake, and its ghettoe bridge, Vahn would actually come to a stop as he surveyed what was ahead of him.

"Should be around here..."

A yellowed eyes widened, as he turned his head to the side, before running his right hand through his hair. Scowling slightly, he pushed forward walking down the slight hill and heading towards the fuel depot.

He was supposed to have come here much earlier, but things couldn't be helped... better late than never.

A guy was having a smoke behind the garage, and saw Vahn approach from the direction of the lake.

They sure as hell hadn't expected people to come from there. All the defenses were geared towards the plains.

"Somebody set us up the-" he choked on his cigarette before he could finish the sentence.

"s**t." Pushing forward at a faster pace now, Vahn took hold of his flamberge, holding it out and to the side as the flames roared along it's blade.

From the looks of things this place had already seen its share of action, but that didn't mean he was going to be deprived of anything.

Orders were orders after all.

And Skinner had no time to survive.

The man choked up his cigarette, then reached for a sidearm.

If the shot got off, the rest of the Depot would be allerted to Vahn's presence, and he'd have to like... hijack a flaming truck in order to get through.

Still quite too far to properly reach and swing with his sword-- Vahn did the next best thing, and let the sword go directly to the man.

With a pivot of his hips, he let fly the Fang into a vertical boomerang fashion, which would do more than violently cleave the man in twain, hopefully reaching before that trigger was squeezed.

The man was cleaved in twain by the boomeranging deathdealer. The gun did NOT go off.

However, the entire back wall of the garage was owned when the sword impaled it, crushing the flimsy sheet metal that had been put up to replace the bricks Mooo dove through.

Somebody took notice.

Letting loose a string of curses, Vahn could only continue hid mad dash forward, charging up a discernible amount of heat around his right arm.

One eye glowed flame-yellow, while the other crackled with spilling black flame; he was leaking like a sieve, and right now ready to burst.

Whatever was left in the fuel depot was about to be met with a bang greater than WingZero, as Vahn let out gouts of blackened flame directly ahead of him and then turning to get all around him.

This wasn't a raid, or an infiltration, let alone a fight-- it was extermination.

And soon there was one more person running into the area. As if there hadn't been enough already.

Some crazy guy in a long coat with scarf and hat, with big budles of thick peices of wood on either arm like sheilds, the air directly around him seeming to shimmer slightly as he ran really damn fast- like, zoom, fast. Really pumping some distance.

And he came into view, goggles covering his eyes, trying to take in exactly what was going on as he left the dead forest.

Fireworks.

That's what this was not.

The first truck in the blockade took the brunt of it all, actually flipping into the air and over the second one before skidding across the pavement. The NPCs atop it were not so lucky, those underneath managed to survive without much more than heatstroke.

As the flames subsided, the air was burning, and through the smoke and heat distortion, it was hard to see anything.

Sweat actually dripped down the side of his face, as his chest rose and fell, his right arm lowering as he felt the pain nearly make him double over.

It was hard to not just give in to the idea of burning everything again and again... He was going to have a serious talk with Yaits when he came back.

With the mess all around him, Vahn began moving forward, going out of his way to retrieve his flamberge, before surveying the current situation.

He wait a bit to see if anything else would come out and try to stop him.

If nothing stirred, he would continue on his way.

Holy s**t.

And he recognized this guy, too. A friendly face, nice. Hopefully wouldn't shoot at him or any such.

Kalis stopped, taking a breather, a heavy one, but not panting.

"That's a nice clean up job." Kalis said approvingly. Vahn would probably recognize him as that quiet guy who'd been sitting in the window of the meeting he'd spied on before all the s**t hit the fan.

He looked around the smoking area. Didn't see much alive. He'd settle for a second to watch and see what the fellow did though.

"....." Vahn would have given a quick look towards the voice that spoke with familiarity towards him, even as he already started moving in a direction. He gave the man no reply, simply moving on.

But the glimpse at Vahn's face would have made Kalis think he had tried talking to some beast of a man, and not a normal guy at all.

'cause he looked <******** up.
