Surprise, Surprise more Wii news. They'll have 1 Million Units at launch. That's Twice what the 360 had at their launch and every console for Nintendo is profitable unlike the PS3 and 360 where Sony and Microsoft take a hit with every unit. Nintendo's going to do very VERY well especially since they'll be getting a profit from both the consoles and the games. http://arstechnica.com/journals/thumbs.ars/2006/9/24/5394

Assassin's Creed is making me wish the PS3 wasn't so much, as well.

As much as I want the PS3, there really hasn't been anything that's really caught my eye.
Assassin's Creed does look cool, but it's more of a passing then vested interest.

I found this fairly interesting: http://www.gamasutra.com/php-bin/news_index.php?story=11030
Looks like there'll be some changes coming up for the ESRB.They don't seem that bad to me at least what they're saying there dosn't. Hands on time with the game sounds good. Though I have to say the bit about an investigation by the CDC for video games is pushing it a bit.

I'm going to guess this thread is meant for TV shows too....has anyone watched Heroes on NBC? IF so, was it good?

They haven't even shown all the characters yet and I'm already hooked.
Hiro is one of my faves by far, he's just so...
SQUIGGLYSPLOOSH! whee
It also doesn't help that I keep yelling "YATTA" at every little thing.

Okami = heart heart heart
I am so glad I didn't wait for this one to go down to $20. It's destined to be a perennial game in my collection.
EDIT: The only thing really bugging me so far is the Gibberish they have the people speak rather than an actual language.

Take-Two and Sony are getting sued again. http://www.suntimes.com/news/nation/72320,CST-NWS-donaldson26.article The families of three murder victims are blaming Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and saying that if the killer hadn't played GTA the murder's wouldn't have happened and that GTA "The game trained him ''how to point and shoot a gun in a fashion making him an extraordinarily effective killer without teaching him any of the constraints or responsibilities needed to inhibit such a killing capacity,'' You'll never guess who the lawyer is....
... Wait for it...
...Jack Thompson. Big surprise right?
So should I point out the things worng with this suit here?
1) unless the gun had analog stick and L1/2 and R1/2 buttons (or a lock on feature) I doubt it did much teaching for a real gun. movies and TV would be an easier target for that.
2) Video Games aren't supposed to teach kids restraint. That's the parents job.
3) They listened to Jack Thompson. The man's a joke. And not even a funny joke. He's like Colin Quinn on Weekend Update.
4) Everything else that's wrong with this.

See, this is why I hate some people. You warn them that the game they're buying is Rated M for Mature and not recommended for anyone under 17, but they still buy it for their 14 year old only to blame it on said game when the kid goes crazy.
Of course, there's the very obvious fact that they are choosing to overlook:The Chicago Suntimes Posey had told police he shot his family after his father, the ranch foreman, slapped him for not cleaning horse stalls fast enough. Prosecutors described Posey as a ruthless killer, but his lawyers claimed his father had abused him for years. Yeah, I can really see where the game was his influence for killing his father, stepmom and stepsister. As opposed to say, I don't know, HIS FATHER BEING AN ABUSIVE d**k.
