Kaylyn spins on her heel, her bright eyes taking on a cat-like look.
"You save your time and I will save mine!" she says, "I need to know what happened if I am to repair the armor you hold in your hand. Now, you can give it to him, or I will rip it out of your hand!"
Hariel takes a step back, wispering, "Why did she just get pissed off?"

Saberstryke, seeing Kaylyn's anger, tosses her the orb of Holy, then draws the Soul Swords of Fervor. "Hand it to him at your own peril," he says.

Kaylyn nodds, "You will not need those if a terror arises. I can handle this myself."
She walks to Batrias, taking his hand, setting the orb in the palm of his own hand, and curls his fingers around it.
"What can you tell me?" she says quietly.

Instantly, Batrias falls to the ground, no longer the middle-aged man without a name. His eyes widen, and his breathing slows. He stares at the ground without blinking before gripping his orb tightly and saying, "I must kill you all."
Then, suddenly, the orb of Holy shatters.

Kaylyn keeps an iron grip on his wrist, revealing where Hariel had learned it. She looks at him, her face blank of emotion.
"Why?" she says, "why would we find death at your hand?"

"I..." Batrias drops the shards of the orb of Holy out of his hands, letting them tinkle the ground. "It was an echo, I think. Something I said, and have yet to say, I'm thinking."
Saberstryke, to the side, nods his approval in silence.
Batrias continues, "Not everyone here has an armor. It's a strange feeling. Mine is gone, too, I suppose."

"For your armor set, maybe," Kaylyn says, "but there are nine Wildcat-Inferno armors. And soon there will be more. Do you remember what happened to you?"

"It's hard to say," Batrias says. The shock of seeing his armor crack is still too much for him. He can no longer feel the red symbol of wrath burning on his forehead and this, to him, feels like a great emptiness that needs to be filled. The faintest glimmer of red shines on the orb shards for a moment, then twinkles out. "I was in a battle. I wanted to destroy. I had to. All the armors everywhere had something wrong. My armor called for me to destroy the world, except someone intervened. A Hyrosha, I think. And someone else. I don't know. This person here," He gestures to Saberstryke, "Followed me through."

"Hyrosha..." Kaylyn thinks hard. What had Shadowsage said about Dannin and Anubis? Dannin would live in shadow and Anubis...his fate was clouded because of her. She shakes it off and looks at him.
"Hyrosha, in armor, it makes sence," she says, "do you know what they looked like?"

"It was a woman, I don't know beyond that," Batrias says.
"Her name was Dani, if it is of any consequence, and she inherited the second Wildfire armor to use in what she thought was her defense of good," Saberstryke says. He reluctantly puts away his swords. "I am still curious as to how the portal opened in the first place. A portal through time. This is the crux of everything. How can an armor create such a thing?"
Batrias shakes his head. "The only armor I know with power enough was the Inferno, except, well..." He trails off.

Kaylyn shakes her head. Dani, of Wildfire. A decendent of Dannin, or Hariel, maybe even both. And the Inferno, the armor that has only recently been discovered and was now under Kaylyn's control with the Eternal Flame.
"Thing have been set in motion here and I now see that they must be done," she says, "as for your armor, I do not know if I can repair your own, but I can give you one of a fallen warrior in my clan until then."

"That would happen if you expected me to fight," Batrias says, regaining a little of his reason. "And I cannot say what made me destroy my sphere, there..."
"We cannot let it remain destroyed," Saberstryke says. "In fact, my presence here suggests that it will be repaired. Kaylyn-san, I request that you get your people to work on it at once."

Kaylyn smirks, "My people? My dear warrior, only my family knows the art of the armors. A handful of others may know parts, but only we retain it in full. It will take time, which it seems, you have plenty of."
She looks at Batrias, releasing his wrist, "If you will fight for a short time, then I will give you armor. But you must swear that your first loyalty is to use it in your defence."

"I don't know why I would use it otherwise," Batrias wonders aloud. "Did I say I wanted to kill you? That seems so long ago..."
Then, without warning, the eyes roll back in his head and he collapses.
Saberstryke, looking to Hariel, says, "How did you come by the name Wildifire?" He ignores Batrias.

Kaylyn shakes her head, suprisingly strong enough to get Batrias into Hariel's tent. While she does so, Hariel looks at Saberstryke.
"Wildfire," he says, "Kay gave it to me years ago. I guess cause of my temper. That, and my swords seem to have a talent for absorbing or casting fire."
