... We've been working on individual mods, right? Or we were, so why not beg a Mod to come down and teach us about his or herself?

Kyraa Ooo! Ooo! I know! How often do you get PMed with people begging to know about you? ... And what's your favorite color, food, and music type? Never. No one seems to bother me (outside of normal site related questions) on any level but the 5 most foul questions. ::writes on the blackboard:: TOP 5 QUESTIONS NEVER TO ASK A MOD: 5. Can I be your friend? 4. Can I have your panties? 3. Can I have some gold? 2. Can I have [random item mod is wearing] or just borrow it? 1. Can you make me a mod? ::points at blackboard:: #5 is not to be mean, but it's rarely prefaced with good intent - and is usually followed by the remaining questions. #4 - mod panties are a commdity - only a mod can REALLY sell them, therefore asking this is stupid. #3 - Mods are not necessarily rich. Most n00bs also think it's incredibly hard to make gold - therefore I enlighten them. #2 - Mods don't necessarily have multiple halos. Therefore we're not giving htem away. #1 - Most often asked question, most often answered with a flat out no. Oh and, Green, Sushi, Rave.

I will accept your answer in 5 paragraph format...oh wait... I'M not the substitute...nvm smile It felt rather scary to have been chosen by the admin. As far as I knew I wasn't making much of an impact anywhere on the site, I had a pair of shops in breedables, I wrote a guide to Questing that got stickied, but really, I had only begun to consider modship when all of a sudden I had a letter from Lanzer in my PM box. Just after being modded I was very overwhelmed all sorts of rules came into place, and learning my mod tools. I was around when the Personals were still open, and I was one of the mods who helped take it down (it was so bad in there by the time I had removed one bad ad, there were three more to take it's place. I let myself get very, insanely overwhelmed for a time, lost all my friends online. Then I was forced to work away from the net this summer and found out that it was okay not to be modding all the time. So no I do things in a more balenced manner. I mod for a few hours every other day. It makes my life nicer. ::think:: That wasn't 5 paragraphs. o.o;;;;

So... I have a question for the Mods! This is going to sound like a blasphemous question, but I swear I mean it with only pure intent.
How does one become a mod?
Before I get attacked by the rest of y'all, I'm not asking for me. I'm asking because I'm wondering what's it like to be selected? Like, whats your mod-testimony? What did you do, what were you like -before- your exaltation to mod-hood, and whats it like now?
