magikjaz "Crash" I can't really say what it's about cuz there's not really a solid plot line...it's people whose lives intertwine in a day in L.A. Oooh that actually sounds really interesting to me! biggrin I finally saw Skeleton Key on.. Sunday, I think. It's totally not my kind of movie, and it was more scary in parts than Jason said it would be (just because I hadn't seen it yet and didn't know what to expect,) but I did like the twist. Not nearly as huge a twist as The Sixth Sense, but still a good twist.

Kind of a nice surprise, they have been rerunning Jumangi on TBS the past few days, and it reminded me how much I want to see "Zathura". In fact, the more I see of Chris Van Allsburg's work, the more I think a collection of all of his Children's books would be kind of fun to have.

We bought The Polar Express this year, since it is now on DVD, and I cannot wait to see that again!

The Polar Express is very cool. It has a very good meaning to the story.

I'm watching The Italian Job at the moment, have any of you Purkles seen this? it's an absolute classic starring Michael Cain, 3 Mini Coopers and lots of gold blaugh they made a remake of it this last year but i imagine it would be total rubbish compared to the original.

We watched King Kong last night with Jade, and she liked it. She came home and wanted to pretend to be the girl while Jason would pretend to be King Kong, and I'm surprised as how much attention she was paying because she acted out fine details I didn't think she'd remember!
And we just got back from Memoirs of a Geisha. They did change a few things from the book in order for it to make sense and still fit within a movie time-limit, but I liked it over all, and Jason was more impressed with it than he thought he'd be, and he says it's a "must buy" when it comes out on DVD. 4laugh

I kept hearing people say The Green Mile is really good, and some people's favorite movie, and Jason and I finally watched it this weekend (and stayed up past 3am watching it!) and it was reallllly good!!
We also watched Dark Water, which is so not my kind of movie because I don't like horror movies, but you can tell it has the same director as The Ring because it has a lot of the same themes.

morphingbutterfly the green mile was an awesome movie....loved it so much that we bought it....but i havent ever heard of dark water...can you give me a little insight what it is about? It has the actress lady who plays in Labyrinth and The Hulk, and the prince guy from Ever After. The lady plays the mom and she has a little girl who might be about.. 8? and she got a divorce from the guy I mentioned, and she's planning to move across the river from Manhattan into a building not far from a good school. Then weird stuff starts happening in the building where they move, and it's kind of scary, but interesting, and as I said, shares a lot of themes with The Ring, if you've seen that.
