Katrina Youngblood Ah hmm...Well, I've only recently named my dear Bb trumpet....His last name((haven't been able to find a suitable first name yet...)) is O'Sullivan... I came up with that one late night while reading and listening to the soundtrack form "Master and Commander", and O'Sullivan is the name of the fiddler...*shrugs* And my cornet's name is William Cornwallis. How about "Joey O'Sullivan" for your Bb trumpet?

My flutie friend and her trumpet sister both have names for their instruments (Flora McFlower the Flute, Herbert the Trumpet) and they decided that my flute should also have a name. They named her Fiona. We don't have a last name yet but I am still thinking...
My trumpet and Piccolo don't have names though. Any suggestions?

hehehe...i play a lot of instruments, so not all of them are named. The vibes i used for the marching season is named May, my school Bassoon is called the Dying Goose, my flute is Kay(because i have a sticker on the case thats a big "K") and my piano is Old Faithful(because it's a 125 yr old antique upright) biggrin

I'm still trying to come up with a good name for it. I swear each day I change it. sometimes its: Evil dang thing; at others its something nice.

Well... I play a lot of insturments... I just call my plastic clarinet Girl... I know, creative huh? lol My metal clarinet is Army (because it is US army issue and has Army on it, no I'm not in the Army), the contra alto clarinet I play (wish it was mine!) is called Butch, I was informed of this when I "rented" it from OBU, The bari sax I played in high school was Goldie (it was BRAND NEW!!!!!!!! I got to open the box and everything), the bass clarinet I played in high school was Sam, the contra bass clarinet I played is Goose because if I only played on the mouth piece and neck it sounded like a goose. I think thats all the ones I ever named... lol

My Horn- Lulu III
My To-be Baritone- King Lulus XVIII
My friends Baritone- Cadberry Adams ((it was on the gum wrapper thing))
My friends flutes- Otis and Penelope
Buddy's Clarinet- Oodly Ooger
Sax guys sax- Suicidal Sam (always breaks)
Trombone kids tb- Harry the Pot-hole

my flutes name is Lucius Malfoy
my clarinets name is Tom Riddle
lol. yes, i'm a harry potter fan! ^_^ and i get made fun of by all my friends cause i name almost everything.

i name my instruments and all my friends,,,lol. my friend's bassoon is named Mi-chan. lol. um..my first flute was named Silver, my open hole is Aulo, and my piccolo is Forte.

My flute is a really dark gun-metal silver so my friends and i named it
"The Dark Flute". I heart The Dark Flute!!!

My vibes had a name.
It was "The piece of Junk".
The name matched it perfectly.
The resinators were held on with Duck tape/Stick tape a.k.a Electrical Tape.
The pedal was held together by a hair pin thingy and more duck tape/Stick tape.
Yep.
