(^_^)
Aryl awoke not long after, rested, though her sleep was short. She stepped over to Kamiss and Krae, wordlessly asking them, "What now?"

"I have no idea." Kamiss' voice was harsh, but he meant no offense. He was tired, and the sights of war were flooding him. "We go where we must."

"Aye. That is the truth." Aryl nodded, eyes on the Horizon. Her life, from this point on, would change dramatically. After being left alone, after learning to fight, after the battle, and now the only thing she was after was an answer to all the trouble.

A demon crept out from behind a crumbled building, thinking itself unnoticed, and as it fled Reilarm made to shoot it down, but Kamiss held up a hand. "We move in another direction, looking for more survivors." He stared at the sun, then at the fleeing demon. "It's moving southwest, so that is where their 'nest' will be."

(As of two weeks before this announcement, I have started writing the story called The Ravaging. Due to emotional conflict and new ideas, this roleplay no longer resembles my story in the least, aside from the characters. I am sorry if this disappoints some people. I am talking to you, Chobah, since you are probably the only one ever to read this. This, however, means you are no longer limited to the constraints of a storyline! Thank you, that is all.)

(XD It doesn't matter to me. I almost sent it off track myself, with the familiar etc. Oh well. And hey, since we're off as it is, I'll go back into that vein.)
Sending out a silent call to her familiar, Timiln, whom she hadn't seen since the fighting began, Aryl turned to face Kamiss. "Good," she said, a small fire starting to blaze once more in her eyes. "We'll eradicate them, and then separate. Unless you wish to come north with me. For I still have things to take care of."

Kamiss laughed in disbelief. "We will be destroyed if we fight the nest. We had a hard enough time with these... and finding survivors is more important right now." He nodded towards Krae, who stepped forward. "Krae will accompany you. His powers will aid yours better than my own."

"As you say. It will not be a long journey, I most only ascertain the safety of a...friend of mine." She nodded to Krae, and bowed to Kamiss. She snarled inside, thinking of how powerful the demons were, and the fact that, in all likelihood, she would find nothing but ash and ravaged bone.

Kamiss nodded slightly, respectfully, before turning and walking off with the others in tow. He spoke to each of the survivors, and they came with him, checking their weapons and glancing around as if there were more.
Krae moved next to Aryl. "When do we depart?"

With a last glance behind her, Aryl tunred away from the battle scene. "Immediately," she whispered, and stepped towards the northeast, in which direction her journey lead now. Unsurprised, Aryl found Timiln waiting not far away, and welcomed the creature to her side. She would need all the comfort she could find along this path.

Krae just nodded, not really needing rest even after that grueling battle. He stared a little at the strange creature called Timiln, not knowing its name, then realizing since the Ravaging he had seen weirder and worse. "What do you call it?" He asked, moving to catch up with Aryl.

"It?" Aryl looked around, startled. "Oh. Her. Her name is Timiln. She's an old friend of mine." She patted the creature's scaly head, and almost smiled at the bubbly neigh she heard. Almost. Ah well, times were hard.

Krae did manage a smile, and a chuckle on top of that. "What a strange noise." He almost never took things too seriously, unless it was a friend in danger. "What can she do?" He inquired innocently.

"Hmm." She appraised her friend with a warm glance. "Well, almost anything to do with water. She can create - fog, rain, snow. She can obliterate the same. She can control the element. It's what she was born to do, really." Aryl actually laughed, now, as Timiln gathered muddy drops from a large puddle they passed, and juggled them in the air before her nose.

"Wow. That's amazing. Oh, wait, that's not what the others would say, hold on--" Krae stands up straight and says in a militaristic (is this a word?) voice: "Such a valuable asset to the army. We'll never have to deal with bad weather again. How fortunate." Krae lets himself relax and tries not to laugh at his own stupid joke.
((Krae can be serious, but he's the comic relief/optimist of the group. He holds everyone up by trying to distract them from depression. So, he tries not to be serious, because there are enough people for that job))
