6. Skyli Peep Congratulations! Your character has won the Seashell Bikini Bottom! The sirens glare at Mahmud, not entirely happy to give him anything besides a bad time.
Screw the sirens! At the very least they decided to be fair this time, considering they still let him take not just one, but two raffle items. No less, they were the items he wanted the most in the entire world: The sunglasses! Those bikini bottoms were an added bonus, and they were pretty damn sweet... but the sunglasses of his dreams were here.
Mahmud could wear them around town, and then Cerpin and Tevini would be like "Dude we have like, the coolest employfriend ever! Look at those sweet shades!". Then he'd show off to Poe and Static, and they would be like "Swoon! Your shades! You're totally the defacto leader of our non-existent friendgroup!" And finally Polair... oh Polair. She'd be so impressed! SO into him and his sweet, sweet shades with shells on them and stuff. He'd twinkle like a star, and she'd be more into him than ever before!
As a friend. Yes. Friend.
So graciously, elegantly, cool-like, he went up to get those shades and those bottoms from the four jerks who cornered him earlier. He'd accept them with dignity, and grace. Ooooh and that dignity and grace would kill them on the inside, he could feel it in his bones. As he stepped forward to accept his prizes he gave the most dazzling smile he could muster up for these people, and replied to their cold glares with a courteous "Thank you".
Then he saw Austri though and... oh gog he couldn't help it; he had to do the thing! Had to rub her big ol' nose in just how he won their booth that she called him a sore loser at! So with that smile (that may have been trying to turn into a smirk), Mahmud slipped on the glasses in front of her while looking her dead in the eyes.
So Freaking Coo- Hunh?
Just when they were about to go all the way up, he bumped into something. Was it just a fluke? But when he tried to push them up from slipping down his nose, again, they banged into something. It was at this moment Mahmud realized his grave mistake, true horror washing over him.
His GOGDAMNED HORNS GOT IN THE WAY OF THE GLASSES.
Not by much! Just barely, very little. Just enough for the edge of the upper glasses to smack into the very very bottom of his horns. Panicking, Mahmud kept trying to put the glasses on and it just wouldn't work. Finally, flustered, he had to settle with putting them on his head, right above his horns, and not in his eyes like they were supposed to.
It was all very awkward.
"So uh..." What was he supposed to say after that? "... Yeah? Thanks. See ya." As he went to shuffle off with his prizes, he prayed, PRAYED that they wouldn't be seeing him at all. That given a few days, they would forget his existence and just leave him in peace. Mahmud felt foolish, knowing that he had now sold his sole for essentially a pair of bikini bottoms and a pair of sunglasses he couldn't even wear properly.
How lame was that.
