C-courting practices?! Ludo could just feel their face heat up with embarrassment. Did they really have to talk about this sort of thing? In front of everyone? Oh boy... "U-uhm... Gods, this was awful. They wanted to go curl up in a corner or something. Thankfully Tethys seemed pleased with their response and didn't pry for more.
Oh boy. This was a topic Xeizii was not very good at. He'd never really understood the appeal to romance, nor had he ever really... pictured himself partnering up with anyone. "Leetches are not very overt weeth their effection. We prefer mekeeng friends first weeth prospective partners." Well, that's what he'd learned from his parents anyway. They were all close friends before cementing their triad.
Pangur did not think it was possible to be less interested in a social studies lesson- which was strange for him. Normally he rather liked Tethys' lessons. "Demons don't really have courting rituals... Just displays of affection or partnering for "duty" if they're rich." He shrugged, figuring that must be a good enough answer if some of the others were good enough.
Ledie looked over the different historical figures in the history book, she made a face when she looked at the elf section. Yes she was an elf, but looking around at her classmates she would have rather been awakened as an imp, grimm, or neko, something cute and fluffy like her Haunted Hallows costume. When Ledie came to Argus the Stoneskilled she knew who she was picking. She wrote down "I pick Argus the Stoneskilled, he was the litch who alchimized the soul stones. Which was really cool since the books says that's why 3 different beings are able to put magic into a stone, which is great I want to do that someday, or maybe learn more about soul stones." 
Malik squinted at the textbook he really needed to talk to his parents about glasses it was really hard for him to see what was written in the book and on the board. Malik was interested in Saint Lionel when he read about them in the history book. It was curious that the fallen had decided to be a double agent in the 50 year war. Also known as Saint Lionel the Brave. It was shocking and kinda scary that they were killed when it was discovered they were a double agent in the war, and became a saint after they were killed. He wrote down his choice and decided his reason was because they were exciting and brave. 
Cascade frowned looked at the history book the dryads were all about treaties and there didn't seem to be any imps of note in history. She didn't want any of them as her favorite historical figure. She came across the kumihos and smiled very curious she read about the elders and then about Tomoe. The kumiho who was the reason the burried had come down, she looked around she wondered if any of her classmates were kumihos and if she could makes friends with them. She bite her lip was someone a historical figure if they were alive?? "Umm dose Tomoe count?? I like them because now I can make friends with a kumiho maybe." She said shyly 
Sweet Tart pondered who he could pick for his historical figure humm.. Did Ava count?? She was the headmaster reason there was a school for him to go to. Sweet Tart finally picked King Ylorah and wrote his reason because he was the creator of the Sovereign's Vow, which many of the other races agreed to. He figured if he couldn't pick Ava the king was the next best thing. Since he figured without the past he wouldn't have a future. Right?? That made sense didn't it. He banged his head on his desk not really understanding this history stuff. 
Aedus wrinkled his nose, he was an elf but the idea of an arranged married wasn't his idea was a good time. He looked over at Nimah and shook his head listening to her answer. "Wealthy elves sometimes do arranged marriages." Aedus blushed he really hadn't thought of courting when he had given Nimah the familiar, but maybe it had been in his mind somewhere, she was after all the only one he had ever given anything to besides the bracelet he had given Kappa. He cleared his throat and said "Umm other elves give gifts to the one they are courting." 
Eirian giggles as she decided on Geist courting. She said "I picked geist courting rituals because it was the most interesting, so many of the races seem to be about giving gifts and arranged marriages." Eirian pulled a face. "The practice of teasing, stealing and flaunting trinkets that have been stolen from one they are interested in sounds like a lot of fun to me." She smiled wondering if she could date a geist sometime who would do that for her. Though she had read that it was often misunderstood by other races. So the chances were rather low, she sighed thinking about it. 
Archimedes frowned and then said "Umm I guess imp courting rituals which umm are really bold forward courtships in many cases.. Uh really romantic." Arch's face was a darker shade of brown. He was really uncomfortable about this subject he didn't want to talk about courting. "Imps are also rather open to trio courtships.." Arch sighed and sat down, he didn't really want one significant other let alone two. Perhaps that made him strange but if someone wanted to blame anyone in that regard they should look at his parents who left him and his siblings for parts unknown. So was it any surprise that Archimedes didn't trust relationships? 
Avocado decided to look up another cultures courting and grinned well that was interesting. "I decided to look up goblin courting and found that if a goblin has someone they want to be with they get a soul stone and imbue it with their magic then present the soul stone to their intended as a surprise. A friend imbuing is preplanned." Avo grinned wondering if he should get a goblin sweetie and surprise them with a soul stone to show that he knew about their culture, sounded like a kool idea if the relationship was deep enough and it was giving a gift that was kinda like his own culture. 
Turnip frowned he looked up fey courting and moved on, he really wasn't the dancing type. Humm somewhere between imp and dryad seemed the way to go for him when he found someone special. "Well I'm not much of a dancer so I'll likely skip the dancing part of my heritage as a fey, but the romance and forward nature of imps and the flower meanings for dryads I think would be a winning combination. I'd have to learn the means of the flowers so I could use them properly use them to express my feelings for the one I might love." 
Gwen chose to look at Fallen courting since it was similar to litches but at least a little different and a little more interesting then what she had been trying for a long time now with Liath and Anara. Gwen had tried to tell them both how she felt and hadn't gotten very far. She sighed and said "I looked at fallen courting. It is subtle like litch courting, but the fallen tend to present their chosen a feather. Overdone courtships are normally seen as an act of insecurity." Gwen said simply. Then she sat down at her desk to wait for the class to end.
