x x x "Last night I saw a bunch of stars in the sky!" There were so many that it had been difficult to pin down which one Cyota wanted to talk about first. They settled, quickly, on a big clump of stars that had seemed interesting, "But I took this book from the library and helped figure out what each one one. My favorite was Sagittarius! It's super big, and the story is kind of sad..." A small frown curled on their face as they recalled the details, "Sagittarius is a centaur named Chiron, a half horse half nightmare. Well, he was really cool and trained a lot of awesome heroes. But one day he accidentally got shot with this poison arrow. It hurt really bad! He was immortal so he, uhm, couldn't die? And so he agreed to take this other guy's place. That guy... Purse-y?- Somethin' like that - he was having his liver eaten every day! So Chiron was like, 'I'll take Purse-y's place!' and they agreed cause like, he was gonna be in pain forever so they might as well stop someone else from suffering..." It still seemed wrong, that someone wasn't able to help Chiron, "I guess they didn't have any Kirin around then t'help him out. Poor guy. Well, Chiron is now in the sky cause he was so cool and nice. And that's the story of the Sagittarius constellation!"

Name: Jaxon Stage: Freshling Entry: Well, Jaxon did about as well as he expected. With a surprise test, did anybody really ever do well? Jaxon was quite science minded, but nobody, unless they were a prodigy, could ever get an excellent score on something like the periodic table unless they had studied for it before hand. He was quite pleased with his results.

Name: Altair Stage: Freshling Entry: What? WHAT!? Altair had gotten less than perfect!? Clearly the teacher was just WRONG! This was absolutely absurd. Perhaps the test was rigged. Altair had to restrain himself from flipping his desk over in anger when his pop quiz was handed back to him. If Altair had been wrong, then Alshain was clearly distracting him far too much and holding him back from his true glory that Altair had yet to be recognized for.

Name: Castiel Stage: Freshling Entry: Castiel was quite pleased with his results. He never felt he was particularly skilled when it came to the sciences, but receiving his results and getting what he considered to be a nearly perfect score made his heart swell with pride. He was positive his parents would be quite pleased with him once he showed them his test. Maybe it'd even go up on the fridge!

Name: Hasina Stage: Freshling Entry: It was a good thing this test wasn't going to have too much of an impact on Hasina's overall science grade. It unnerved her a little that the class was currently on the chemistry unit, yet Hasina struggled to remember most of the elements on the periodic table. Shoulders hunching forward, Hasina glanced towards her half brother, Castiel, who seemed quite smitten with his test paper. Oh. He must have done well ...

Histeol didn't know a lot about chemistry, but he was cautiously optimistic. He was pretty sure he understood what the basic concepts--he just had to hope there was nothing too complex on the pop quiz.
To his surprise, he did quite well at the test, earning a 90 out of 118. Why the teacher had picked 118 he didn't quite know--maybe that was the number of known elements? Either way, he was satisfied with his score.

Peri's head was just not in the game. He could normally nail chemistry--he was good at it. He was going to be a chemist someday, for crying out loud! But today, luck was just not with him. He was tired, distracted, and jumpy. He scraped a 37 out of 118 (hehe, nice number), and felt grateful for the pop quiz to be over. Ugh.

Evelyn was not very good at chemistry. Sure, she was good at baking, and theoretically they were the same thing, but chemistry was more boring and, well, less easy! She didn't like the score she got, but hey, at least she'd passed the test and could put it all behind her.

Zalir enjoyed chemistry almost as much as zey enjoyed alchemy. The appearance of a pop quiz was a little annoying, as zey were currently going through an alchemy phase and so hadn't had much time to study, but zey still remembered enough to do quite well on the test, earning a 95/118. Very nice!

Mary was much more interested in literature and history than in chemistry, but honestly, she found the hard sciences much easier than biology. Less squishy, for one thing. She dug into the test, glad it wasn't dissection or something equally disgusting, and was pleased with herself to find out that she'd gotten a 70/118. She'd done better on tests in the past, but it was a pretty good score for a pop quiz in chemistry.

Anchriesel was not as good at chemistry as his roommate was, but he still knew a thing or two about it. It would have been nice to have some warning instead of a pop quiz, though--he found himself wishing he'd had an opportunity to study. He still passed, of course, but he was almost afraid to tell his roommate what he'd gotten on the test! It definitely wasn't as good as Zalir's score.

Muridae: Muridae looked at the test, at all the things she should know. She did know most of it, but the glare of the lights, the atmosphere of the room, tests in general made Muridae feel nervous and timid. The girl was more focused on trying to make sure no one was looking at her than her test, and it later showed in her score.

Eudica: Eudica smiled. She had actually studied somewhat for this test. In her usual calm, controlled manner, she slowly filled in all the boxes on the test. Eudica felt glad she had bothered to do that little bit of studding, until she looked the test over again, and realized that she had to know all their names, short-hands, and imperical numbers. She frowned at the last part, knowing each one's scientific number, that was something she had forgotten to study...

Clair: Clair Clair, why give a care? The fae sang to herself as she put random words and numbers into random boxes. She yearned to be out, free, in the fresh outdoors. Her wings flapped a little just thinking about getting outside to fly fast and gracefully. It was defiantly her favorite past time, soaring above the city, admiring the view.
