Alright so at least her teacher allowed her a make-up exam, and she had gone back to her dorm room and tried to study more, and in different ways, just to try to prove to her teacher that she was taking this seriously. She just couldn't fail this time! So when Citali sat down for the make-up exam she felt a lot more confident.((Homg I can't believe I rolled a 30 two times in a row. Poor Citali ))

Citali's face burnt with embarrassment when she scored the same exact score on her make-up exam as she did on the original exam. She was so frustrated and so upset with herself for failing once again. How would she ever pass this stupid class? Yet again, her teacher offered her a make-up exam and she promised that she would pass this one. She absolutely had to! It was so shameful that she failed even the make-up exam.
When she got her second make-up exam back, she breathed a sigh of relief, it wasn't a great score, but it was at least significantly better then the previous two that she had already taken.

Midterms were not Kaelan's favorite. Part of that might have had to do with the fact that they hadn't actually studied the night before, but Kaelan had been pretty confident that they knew at least some of the answers. Apparently not.

They were allowed to do a make up exam, and, after doing some studying, Kaelan sat down to give the test another try. It went slightly better, but still not good enough. It was only a couple of points higher than their first try, and Kaelan knew that they'd have to do a lot more studying.

At least they weren't the only one having trouble with the exams, Kaelan noticed, having returned to take another make up exam. The junior was really hoping to pass this time, but as they worked on the test, the questions just weren't making any sense.
They did the best they could answering the questions, but even with that, still no passing grade.

After more studying, Kaelan felt confident enough to take the makeup test again. They had focused on the sections that had been hard on the tests they had already taken, and with any luck, this time would be it. They filled out their test, feeling better about it as they did. The questions seemed to make more sense this time, and Kaelan was pretty sure that they were getting a few more questions right. Hopefully it would be enough for a passing grade. It seemed like every class was doing tests these days--it was a wonder that Ustule was able to pass any of them. However, she was quite delighted to get a good grade on her science test. She liked the unit they were doing right now--biology--and she was really looking forward to their anatomy unit that was coming up next. Smiling her tiny smile, she tucked the test back into her bag and waited quietly until the end of class.

The fluffy white Grimm stared in alarm at the test on his desk. He had been so busy with other classes that he completely for got it was midterm time in this one. He buckled down and did his best to remember, but it all came out kind of jumbled. After her got his score back he was disappoint in some of the stupid mistakes he had made, but he had passed and that all the matter. Stargazing. How fun and unique! Favrielle had arrived a bit early and was able to discuss some interesting space facts with Mys. Grey and that was rather exciting. She spread out a small blanket, happy to invite some other classmates to join her in stargazing. The demoness listened intently as Mys. Grey explained things in the sky and as others asked questions. Her tail swayed happily and actually got the idea to have a date with Jaret under the star soon! Temperance arrived right at eight o clock, having to rush from dinner with his roommate. He sat down on a blanket with one of his classmates and stared up at the stars. Normally attentive and the first one to ask questions tonight Temperance just enjoyed his surrounding. The peaceful sound of the crickets, the soft twinkling lights that lit up the sky. He kept a small dreamy smile plastered on his face the whole time.

Oh science... Why did you have to be a mid-term today? Sepphora was certainly not feeling prepared for this, but then again, science hadn't been her forte. All the same she buckled down as the test was passed out and took in a deep breath. "Please gods... have mercy on my grade..." she whispered to herself as she began.
The test had been so much harder than she anticipated and she was almost certain that she'd fail the test. Sepphora was a bundle of nerves as she waited for the results.... "A sixty one percent?" she said, her pitch raised. Oh her parents would not be pleased... but at least it was still a passing grade. Groan. With a sigh, she tucked the papers away and sunk down in her seat.

The beach?! Quin had never been to the beach, he was practically vibrating in his seat while Mys Grey explained the details. When the day finally came, he couldn't sleep at all that night. That only meant he was early to the meeting place! Since he was already up, he had already gone to the lunchroom to make his lunch: a peanut butter and jelly sandwich with some Cheetos. It was the perfect pick me up lunch for when he would need it. He took a nap on the way there, but was wide awake once they arrived. The excited grin on his face sank once he saw all the water. He didn't like swimming.. Now how could he have fun?
Quin grew bored just watching everybody have fun in and around the water. Instead of going back to the bus though, he found his own things to do: like build a sand castle, find a bunch of pretty shells, run around in the sand, and even find little crustaceans in the sand! At the end of the day, Quin had played his little heart out without being near the water. He crashed hard on the way back, snoring on the bus. When they finally got back into class Quin could barely keep his eyes open to write the paper, but he powered through. He wanted Mys Grey to know the beach didn't have to be boring because he was afraid of the water.
I was super excited for the beach until we got there....I'm scared of the water, so I didn't think I would have any fun.. but I found lots to do outside of the water! I had sooooo much fun! Next time we go we should have a contest to see who finds the prettiest shells! Oh, and sand races, it's so hard to run in sand! My favorite part was finding all kinds of shells on the beach! There were so many to pick from! My favorite is a tan one with orange streaks!
Quin took time to draw a picture of his favorite shell at the bottom before turning his paper into Mys Grey. It wasn't very pretty but got his point across. "I had lots of fun today, thank you Mys Grey!" After he left class, Quin went home and took a looong nap. He tuckered himself out.

Pluto hadn't been sure what to expect out of the field trip. They had never been to the beach before but they heard certain things about it; that it was bright and sunny on the beach, which it had been, and that it was hot like summer-time, which it had definitely not. The sky was mostly clear of clouds, the ever-present dusk light reflecting beautifully off the water, but it had been windy and a bit chilly and Pluto was glad they decided to wear their big comfy sweater despite their preconceived notions. They touched their toes to the water and let the tide gently overtake them. The water made them sink a little into the sand with each pass until they were up to their ankles, at which point Pluto decided it would be best not to allow the beach to swallow them whole and moved on to other things. Lunch was fairly uneventful, save for one particular incident. Pluto wasn't sure what the other freshlings would write about but at least their report would be a little interesting. My first field trip and first time at the beach, Pluto wrote in a mess of swirls that was decipherable once you stared at an angle, It was different. I'm happy Mys Grey took us, it was nice of her. The water was cold and it was windy. That's not what beaches are supposed to be like but that's OK. It's not bad to be cold. I got my toes wet but I think the beach was hungry and wanted to eat me so I only gave it a taste. At lunch a little critter with claws stole half of my sandwich. I followed it for a bit but I let it have it because it seemed hungry too and it wasn't going to eat me. I found a really pretty shell before we left and I took it home. It's white and ridgy but inside it's all smooth and shiny like a rainbow. I think the beach is fun but it'll be fun to go when it's warmer too.

Pandora was more than a little excited for the stargazing trip. She had packed a couple of blankets to lay on and some snacks, just in case. She grabbed some warm clothing, both for warmth and to help block insects from biting her arms, as well as a small notepad just in case the inspiration for a new song hit her while there. She happily grabbed her bag and headed to the meeting spot, laying her blanket out and laying back to glance at the stars. Tonight was definitely going to be an amazing night! She couldn't wait til everyone showed up!

Now this was something Castus could get behind. The sky was beautiful and full of endless possibilities. And the stars were quite a sight to see. It wasn't often that Castus showed up to class, let alone approved of an assignment ... but this was a pretty sweet one. They were stargazing for grades. Castus had spend endless nights on the roof of the academy just watching the stars wink in and out of view as the sun slept and woke again. It was something he did on his own anyways, and rather enjoyed. It wasn't very often that an opportunity came along for him to do something he already liked doing for school. Castus could have spent hours watching the stars ... "Yunno, teach." Castus smirked a little. "Yer not half bad."And he'd never say it again.

Hexen sat under the stars with an open book on her lap, forearms resting gently against her knees, lightly clutching the notebook in her hands. The stars always gave her inspiration to write. It would have been great if Bayde had been with them on the trip ( or maybe he was and she just didn't see him. She imagined he'd blend in to the dark with his colours), but was happy for the opportunity to be around her peers without having to actually interact, but still absorb their energies. Watching the stars, so many ideas for new short stories and novels popped in to her head, and Hexen couldn't help but to write down her ideas and draw out the stars she saw above her head ... This was pretty cool of the teacher to do. Hexen approved.

Effie giggled at her sister's answer for the assignment. Flinging seaweed had been pretty fun. Well, really, it was the reactions they had gotten from the ones who'd had the seaweed flung on them. She snickered at the memory before giving her own answer. "My favorite part of the beach was playing in the sand, even though I went home with lots of sand in my fur." She shook herself at the remembered itchiness the sand made stuck in her fur. "Building sandcastles was pretty fun. Until the water came and swept them away."
