Kirket hails from Woodholm, one of the Imp cities to the north of Asphodel. Woodholm originated as trading post, and the culture there is still very much steeped in trade. The airships even travel to Geist territoy out of Woodholm. Kirket was one of only a handful of Hybrids in his neighborhood, everyone else was pure Imp. Shortly after he was born, his demon mother left to return to Khiron, where she was born. She never contacted them again. While his father was attentive while he could manage it, eventually he became so busy and so unable to care for him, that he passed him onto his relatives further into the the countryside.
There, he was the only Hybrid. Life was not easy. Despite Imps and Demons getting along fairly well today, the stigma of hybridity lead to much bullying as he grew up. His grandparents were not particularly supportive either, as they hadn't liked his mother to begin with. Still, he tried to blend in and kept his head down as much as possible. Through his attempts to blend in, he learned to observe the others around him and figure out what they were thinking ahead of time - it often saved him some pain.
As soon as he was old enough, he left for university. Both his father, and his grandparents pressured him to go into business, but Kirket had never had an interest in trade. People interested him. Specifically, why they behaved the way that they did. He went first to Asterion and studied psychology, and then transferred to Leviathan to study physical medicine. As interesting as the mind was, he wanted to learn how to fix and heal the body as well.
Being away from home was a very nerve wrecking experience for him. He hadn't built any lasting relationships at home, but being surrounded by so many people that weren't Imps was very new. Even while attending both universities, he tended to keep to himself. Stigma was not as bad out of Woodholm, though, and he slowly started to learn to like himself for who he was, rather than try to hide the demon lineage in him.
After university, he returned to the outskirts of Woodholm to live with his grandparents again. After staying there for a few years, he began to realize that it was not a healthy place for him to be any longer. Between the disappointment that he wasn't going to continue the family business (or join an important cartel) and the rudeness concerning his mixed heritage, he decided that it was time to leave. Wanting to be somewhere that hybrids would be embraced, he turned his attention to Asphodel Gardens Academy. With a large hybrid population, he figured he would fit in well enough, and be able to offer assistance to children growing up without parents.
When he's working his personality shifts slightly. He becomes less spineless and nervous and more straightforward and assertive. The way he sees it, he's there to help someone else get better, they need him to be that way. Outside of work situations, he reverts to keeping his head down and trying not to stand out too much, even though he's now in an environment that's more supportive.

Kirket is a very sympathetic and empathetic person, he cares deeply for those around him. He has a tendency to not only feel for others, but also feel with others. While he is pretty good at keeping his empathy in check, he cannot help but feel for the people around him.

He's pretty good at going with the flow. Sudden changes don't bother him too much as long as the sudden change isn't violent. He's happy to change plans for the benefit of others.

Kirket is intensely loyal to his friends, and to his work. He has strong ideas about what makes a good friend or a good therapist. Regardless of what others try to say/do, he refuses to let down the people he's close to, or is currently assisting.

Despite his positive attitude and encouraging words directed at others, Kirket does not have the best self-image around. He recognizes that he's good at his job and that he has good individual qualities, but as a whole he battles with negative thoughts about himself.

When he's not on the job, or in spaces where he should be acting as if he is on the job, Kirket is extremely skittish. He keeps his head down, he doesn't make eye contact, he reacts quickly to anything that sounds vaguely threatening. This is a big problem for him that he's struggling to overcome.

When it comes to himself? He tends to let everyone walk over him. He recognizes that bad habit in others and encourages them to change that, but he can't manage to do it for himself. The only time that doesn't happen is when he's working.
