Eventually all the pokemon got across the river, with a lot of splashing and help from the Buizels. But when they continued onward, the way forward proved to be no smoother. A narrow path on the side of a steep cliff waiated them, and there was nothing to do but crawl along it.
Rei sighed, shook the river water off his fur once more (no need to let dripping water make the treacherous path any more dangerous) and stepped out into the ledge. He crouched low and placed his paws carefully, testing his footholds and bracing himself against the wind.
The poor Skitty was really finding this ever so hard, she had dodged the first few bits of debris and as she was dodging a third she was hit with a flying stone which caught her off guard and pushed her back a little but she dug her claws in and started to go again against the wind.
Jax was thankful to finally be out of that damn river. Maybe she would have had better luck getting across if she had just taken the buizels' help in the first place. She shook the water from her fur and caught up to the others, bracing against the strong winds buffeting their company. "I really hate this Masquerain" She grumbled under her breath and started out on the path, hugging the cliff wall and shielding Cecil and Barneby from the wind.
When Caliban turned a corner, he found himself in the lee of the mountain, entirely protected from the wind. Seizing the opportunity, he nearly galloped along the ledge.

Catching a break in the wind Goli ran forward as far as he could before the wind picked up agian.
(( Ak, catchup agian. This week has been much more busy than I expected. ^^'))
Coincidentally, Tybalt split off down another tunnel before searching the luminescent paras. Coincidentally. Nothing to do with scuttling, earth digging bugs. Nope.
The growlithe lagged behind, unhelpfull, resenting the attention the more successful explores recived, but whatever. Feh. He scarred the walls here and there with what fire he had left, damp as he still was in this humid underground.
When the sun was rediscovered, he held back, slunk off to the side, assessed the situation. More water. Tybalt eyed the apparently friendly water type weasels with blatant mistrust. He didn't need any help! Humph. He stomped into the river, head and spirit held high above the water, paddling valiantly with his gangly limbs. At first. By the time he staggered into the opposite shore, he was as limp as a rag, but he quickly applied an aloof air and followed the party, slowly (because he was a super tough cool pokemon, not because he was one small tap away from a long nap, he assures the reader, indignant ), to the next leg of the journey.
Tybalt caught up with the journeyers, and sat, recovering. Their target had better be on that mountain or so help me, I'll eat that fluttery green bug, Tybalt thought viciously, there's no excuse leading a party over a mountain when going around would suit just as well! He flexed his paws in the grit, hoping they would be enough to keep him on the trail.
At least the wind had begun to dry him out, he allowed grimly, sticking himself to the mountain like a remoraid.
Domo found himself agreeing with Jax. This Masquerain was tapdancing on his last nerve. Bracing against the strong winds, he positioned himself behind Barneby and Cecil in case either of them tripped or wound up flying backwards.
"Be careful little ones," he muttered.

She grunted as she was helped by the water pokemon to the other side of the river. She nodded and said thank you to them before taking off towards the mountain. The wind was in her fur, drying it quite quickly. "I wonder why everyone is going up the mountain?" She started to climb, being glad for claws for this.

Goli lost the footing for one of his paws, he instantly stopped and hunkered down crawling against the harsh wind.
