When Riko was led into the room, a small space with warm lighting and inviting furniture, Siobahn was sitting in an armchair across from a young man with glasses. When she sensed Riko's presence, she placed a hand on the male's arm. "We'll resume this conversation later." Understanding, he nodded, then stood up to leave. Freed from her conversation, Siobahn stood and walked over to where Riko stood. Built just a few inches taller than Riko, Siobahn appeared young despite her many years, and she had dark brown hair that fell past her shoulders and tanned skin. She looked at Riko without really looking at her, her white, sightless eyes appearing to be focused on something just beyond Riko's being.
"It's been a while, Riko," Siobahn said in her lilted voice, expression mostly neutral, partly surprised. But Siobahn seemed far less surprised than Xian had been. She had a way of knowing things others didn't. "And you've brought company..." She reached out and gently carressed the top of Elle's head. Withdrawing her arm, she asked, "What can I do for you?"
--
Mere minutes after Riko left, they started pouring in. The werewolves entered from every angle, from every door and window on the first floor. Riko had clearly lost her trust in Mercy, and Mercy really didn't have a clue where she was or what she was going to do with Elle. But maybe that was for the best. If Mercy didn't know, she had no one to tell. But <********> she had thought she could keep this under control. Would she ever see Elle again?
When they came at her, trying to restrain her, Mercy fought them off as best as she could. She was, despite her smaller physique, stronger than most of them. But she was out of practice, and she was too outnumbered and too distracted to win. Finally, after a noisy and chaotic struggle in which quite a few lamps and pieces of furniture were knocked over, three of the werewolves forced Mercy's arms behind her back and shoved her onto her knees. Shiva stepped in front of her.
"Where's the baby, Mercy?" she asked, casually, though with a hard edge to her tone.
Mercy gritted her teeth. "I don't know."
"Your vampire friend was spotted fleeing the house," Shiva said. "Where did she go?"
Mercy didn't answer. She didn't have one, thankfully. Instead, she glared at Shiva. Shiva, annoyed, smacked Mercy across the face. Sighing heavily, she turned her back on Mercy. "No matter... someone's tailing the bloodsucker as we speak." She began gesturing to the other werewolves. "Get her out of here. And search the rest of the house." Immediately, they kicked into gear, the werewolves holding Mercy dragging her to the vehicle to transport her to the hideout, and the others tearing the house apart in search of anything that would lead to the baby.

"I need a place to hide out for a little while." Riko said vaguely, looking Siobahn in the eyes. "I don't know for how long, but I just need a place." Riko finished. Siobahn kept her eyes trained on her though Riko knew that she couldn't see in tradition ways, she was still in Siobahn sights, her piercing gaze causing Riko to squirm. "I assume that excited bundle of light in your arms is the reason you are on the run." Siobahn asked. Riko nodded, Siobahn arched a brow. "Yes." She said obediently. "I sense in you, anger, protectiveness, stress, fear, Dread, you feel betrayed. Oh...Guilt? Worry? About more than you're own situation." Siobahn didn't need her eyes to see, she could feel. Her senses were so acute, she could see the emotions of other radiating off of them in waves, reading them as if they were plain text in a book. Riko and Elle were bundles of energy to her. Siobahn was like an oracle in that respect. "Stop it." Riko requested. "Then tell me what happened, so that I won't have to pry." Siobahn suggested. Already knowing that if she hadn't done what she had did, that Riko would have tried to keep everything to herself. "A couple of days ago, I was out returning home after feeding when I found this toddler, Elle, bundled up and ditched in the alley way. I thought she was just some child that had been ditched cause her parents didn't want her, but she wasn't normal, she's a wolf, a natural born wolf. I didn't think I could just leave her out there. So I took her home with me." Riko explained. "You expressed to me before that you wanted to be a mother." Siobahn said softly. Riko looked at her surprised. She didn't remember how long ago it had been when she told Siobahn this. "I don't forget things, especially not things about you." Siobahn said picking up on Riko's surprise. Riko looked off to the side blushing just a bit. Siobahn always said things that made her feel so... "Continue." "My roommates and I decided to raise her, well just two of us really. Harry is a ghost and got no say, and Delorna didn't seem to care either way," Riko clarified. "Still living with my sister?" Riko pressed her lips in a straight line and nodded trying to keep herself balanced emotionally and not have her body tell Siobahn something she didn't want her too know. "Tell me about this other roommate." ",,,,She's a wolf as well." Riko said sounding slightly disgusted. "Her name?" Siobahn asked, not seeming to take notice. "Mercy." "Hm. Go on." “Her and I tried to work together to raise Elle, but we ran into complications. Werewolves from Mercy’s past came back, breaking into our home aiming to kill us and take Elle away.” Riko said, Siobahn pursed her lip. “Why?” She asked, Riko shook her head. “They say Elle belongs to them, but I don’t know for sure. Mercy got them to back off, but only for a while it seems, because they came back today.” Riko finished. “How did you get out?” Siobahn asked. “Mercy, she ******** told me to get out.” Riko said. “So she knew it was coming.” Siobahn said. “She had been looking at her phone all day, I thought she was texting her girlfriend, but that is clearly not the case.” Riko said. “She told you to get out, she is the reason you escaped, does that make you feel less betrayed?” Siobahn asked, Riko shook her head. “She lied to me, she was in contact with people who had tried to murder me!” “Maybe she was trying to help.” Siobahn said slowly, Riko turned on her real quick from docile to pissed all over again, flaring deep into Siobahn’s misty eyes. “She told you to get out, if she wanted you dead, she wouldn’t have done this. Maybe she was working with the other side to keep you safe.” Siobahn suggested. “Well why couldn’t she just tell me that?” Riko demanded. “Maybe she was being watched, or maybe because she knows how you are. You aren’t exactly the most subtle.” Riko kept quiet at that. “I don’t believe any of it, it’s all bullshit. She’s probably only just given me a headstart so she won’t feel so guilty.” Riko mumbled. Siobahn kept quiet for a moment, and suddenly her phone rang, the quiet woman picked it up and held it to her ear. “Hello?” She asked, there was a beat. “I’m glad you’re safe….yes she’s here…ok…….Alright, I will tell her.” With that Siobahn hung up the phone. “Who was that?” Riko asked “My sister, she says that she saw the girl you speak of being dragged away. Maybe she was indeed lying to you, and she could have only helped you escape out of guilt. But her relationship with these wolves is anything but willing.” Siobahn informed her. Riko didn’t say anything. “You can stay here for as long as you like.” The woman added, and Riko nodded. “As long as you pay the price.” She continued. Riko looked up at her, docile once again. “Right now?” She asked, Siobahn looked at her for a moment smiling before shaking her head. “Not in front of the child. Come on, I will show you where you can put her when you need a break, after all you aren’t the only mother living here.”

"Shiva, we... lost track of her."
Shiva was clearly having difficulty keeping her calm. She had that wild spark in her eye, a firecracker ready to pop. Her unpredictability had gotten her to where she was, and when she narrowed her eyes at her fellow werewolf, the young man was quaking in his shoes. "You lost track of the vampire," she repeated. "The vampire that fled only a few minutes before we stormed the house. The vampire carrying the full-blooded werewolf baby."
The man gulped. "...Yes." He tugged at his collar, suddenly feeling uncomfortable. "But--we think we know her general vicinity. We lost her in an area that has a lot of supernatural activity."
Shiva pinched the bridge of her nose and closed her eyes. "Do whatever you have to to find her. We need to get the baby back, whatever it takes." She left him without another word, entering the room a few feet away. As she closed the door behind her, her comrades pulled off Mercy's hood.
"Was that really necessary?" Mercy spat, referring to the hood. The two werewolves that had dragged her in split and stood against the back wall.
Shiva ignored Mercy's question. "Where's the bloodsucker, Mercy?" she asked.
Mercy's eyes settled on Shiva's in a hard, cold glare. "I already told you. I don't know."
A second passed, then Shiva smacked Mercy across the face. When Mercy slowly turned her head to look at Shiva again, blood trickled over her defiantly upturned lips.
"I gave you a second chance, Mercy," Shiva said. "You should've hanged for your crimes, but I was merciful. Generous. And you repaid me by betraying us, the wolves you once called family."
Mercy rolled her eyes. "Shove it, Shiva," she replied. "You've never liked me. What you did wasn't out of generosity--you just wanted to see me beg for your forgiveness."
SMACK! Damn, Shiva was strong.
"Ack! Son of a..."
"Maybe you forgot, but tomorrow's the full moon," Shiva said. "We'll see how well the vampire fares when she's being hunted by a pack of fully-transformed werewolves."
Mercy dropped the smirk and gritted her teeth, but didn't say anything. s**t, she needed to find a way out of here. And fast.
Shiva continued: "In the meantime, you'll stand trial for all of your crimes... and I've gotta say, the list is pretty impressive. There's a lot of people here who are itching to stick your head on a pole."
"And you'll be acting as judge, I assume?"
Shiva wore a wide grin as she turned to leave the room. "Naturally."
--
"Aunt Delorna!"
Luka, Siobahn's eight-year-old son, raced over to Delorna as she entered the room. It was a space of decent size that had been built specifically for Luka and any other kids taking refuge here. There were toys and a few beds, an area as much for comfort as for safety.
"Hey, sugar," Delorna said, grinning, as she returned the boy's hug and ruffled his hair. Holding him away from her, she sized him up. "My, how you've grown!" Luka beamed.
"I'll be taller than you someday," he bragged.
"You're almost taller than me now!" Delorna chuckled and squeezed her nephew's shoulder affectionately. "Alright, darlin', I've got to speak to your mom." She walked past him and to Siobahn and Riko. As she greeted her sister, Delorna's expression sobered.
"They tore the house apart looking for you," she said, focusing on Riko. "Barely noticed me, though. I managed to slip out before they got upstairs. And don't worry--I made sure I wasn't followed."
(Okay, so, pretty sure in a previous post I said the full moon was in a week or two, but... for plot purposes, it's tomorow now. XD)

"Riko...." Siobahn called to Riko for what must have been the 8th time, but the vampire wasn't listening, she had her eyes trained on Elle he was sleeping on a corner bed, after Siobahn had laid her down. Riko had been reluctant to let the baby out of her hands, but she was even more reluctant to insult Siobahn by denying her. "Ey, Vampire!" Delorna called sternly, clapping her hand in Riko's ear. The vampire didn't jump but she turned finally, towards Delorna and Siobahn, the former having a stern look on her face and her arms crossed, and the latter looking primarily concerned. "Full moon tomorrow." Riko mumbled. "They won't be able to find us, and even if they do. You know we have more than enough hands to fend them off, wolves, vampires, espers anything.... That's not what you are worried about are you?" "Mercy and I didn't know what would happen to Elle during the first full moon, we were going to cage her, and Mercy was going to try and help her through it once she cooled off." Riko finished. "So we have a roommate to save, a possible attack on the outside to defend against and a wolf pup who might go crazy with power at any moment." Delorna said. Riko nodded to two of those things. As far as she was concerned one of them did not need to happen.

Delorna took a moment to study Riko. Riko could be hard to read--impossible, sometimes--but it wasn't difficult to tell her thoughts now, even with as few reactions as she was offering. "You don't want to save Mercy," she observed. "Why not? You two have been pretty friendly... and then some... these past few days, minus a few spats here and there."
"The more pressing issue is protecting Elle," Siobahn said, in part out of respect for Riko. "I've already received reports of werewolves sniffing around this area. If they don't find us tonight, I expect we'll be encountering them tomorrow."
Delorna appeared slightly skeptical, but didn't argue. Although she wasn't a big fan of Mercy, rescuing the girl was still on her agenda. From her perspective, Mercy wasn't excited to be entangled with that pack again.

"I need to lay down." Riko mumbled more to herself than anyone else, and it wasn't her asking permission either, she was going to lay down, whether the conversation was finished or not. "Are you serious?" Delorna asked not able to believe her ears. Riko turned to the girl slowly, before turning away. "Use my room, you still know the way right?" Riko nodded and walked off.
"You can't just let her off like that, this is serious!" Delorna turned on her sister angrily "She's acting as if she doesn't care if Mercy lives or dies!" Siobahn pursed her lips, thinking for a moment. "That's not how I am reading it." She said gently. "Yes she feel betrayed, and for a moment when she first came in she did want Mercy gone, but I don't think that is still how she feels now. "So why is she acting like she doesn't care?" Delorna grumbled crossing her arms
"Because she's more worried still about the child, and she is still a bit angry, doesn't want to just forgive the wolf so easily. She's still holding a bit of a grudge."
"Idiot"
"I'll go talk to her," Siobahn said standing up. "Since when do you two ever just talk." Delorna snorted "We don't." ---
Riko was curled up on her side, in Siobahn large bed sniffling meekly to herself. She had been crying, she was just so pissed off and she felt so betrayed she didn't feel like she had another option. She quieted herself when she heard someone enter the room. "Riko," Siobahn called to her, she ignored the woman, staying quiet. "You're going to ignore me now?" Siobahn asked sounding amused. Riko felt the other woman sitting on the bed and in a moment she felt the woman's hand on her hip. "You can hide how you feel from Delorna, but you know you can't hide it from me." Siobahn spoke. "I know what you are thinking, and you should know that I will help you, no matter what you decide."
"For a price." Riko said with a shaky breath.
"Yes," Siobahn smirked, "There is always a price."

When the next evening arrived, Shiva received some good news. "We think we pinpointed the vampire's location," one of her scouts told her. "If our sources are correct, she's in this bar." He handed Shiva a small piece of paper with an address scribbled on it. There were a few drops of blood on the edge of the note, likely from whatever poor soul her packmate had gathered the information from.
"Fantastic," Shiva said, grinning, as she scanned the words. She shoved the paper into her pocket. "Make sure that Mercy is securely locked away and well guarded. She's gotten weak over the years, but I don't want to risk her getting out during the transformation. And then make sure everyone else is ready to go." The scout nodded and left to obey the given commands. Shiva, meanwhile, smirked and stretched her arms over her head.
This was going to be a good night. She could feel it.
--
Delorna had spent the night in the kids' room, watching over Elle while Riko paid her latest debts to Siobahn. Now, as the sun began to set, she knew they needed to focus on keeping Riko and Elle safe. The werewolves would arrive within the next few hours, and even though they had been preparing all day, she didn't feel ready. Not as ready as she wanted to be, anyway. Siobahn had enlisted the help of some of the other supernatural creatures in the area, and they were posted around the bar. But was this really the safest place? Was there somewhere else Riko and Elle should be? Delorna knew that the answer was, ultimately, no, and so she braced herself for whatever would come and played the part of lookout.
Siobahn, meanwhile, approached Riko and placed a hand on her shoulder. "I know you won't like what I'm about to say," she said, "but I think we should put Elle in a cage until we know how the full moon will affect her. You'll be able to see her and protect her, and she'll be safe from herself and to others."

Riko sat up, brushing Siobahn's hand off her shoulder. "We had already made the decision to do so, I've already come to terms with it. Its fine." Riko said as if it didn't matter. "We have many of our people out there on the lookout, on the ready in case they come." "If they show up, I'll hand myself over. It would be a waste if any of your friends got hurt protecting me." Riko muttered, shaking her head. "They are your friends too." Siobahn corrected. "I think you know that already though. I also think you know that we wouldn't let you go like that." Riko looked away, not offering anymore words. Sighing Siobahn wrapped an arm around Riko, pulling the smaller girl closer. "I think it's high time you stopped trying so hard to hide how it is you truly feel. Especially from me. My eyes may not work, but you know that you cannot hide anything from me. "Shut up." Riko sniffed. Siobahn chuckled, and leaned over to place a kiss against Riko's cheek. "Come on, lets go get Elle situated, it'd be best to have her tucked away before anything serious happens."

The cage was small, but not small enough to be cramped for the sleeping Elle as Siobahn placed her in it. The infant was surrounded by warm, soft blankets, and the bars were padded to prevent injury should Elle try to escape. Siobahn then checked her watch. The full moon was fast approaching. If Elle was going to change, it would happen soon. Very soon. And Siobahn wondered if it would be occurring even sooner than she had expect when Elle began to stir uncomfortably.
But legend had it that a pure-blooded werewolf wouldn't feel the call of the moon and would, instead, be able to change at will. If the rumors were true, Siobahn thought, perhaps Elle was experiencing some restlessness due to the presence of the moon, but she wouldn't change at all.
Suddenly, Delorna hurried into the room. "They're near," she said, expression grave. "Randy sensed them less than a mile away, but he doesn't think they've changed yet."
--
It was beginning. As Shiva continued walking toward the bar, she felt the all too familiar pull of the full moon, it's light haunting her every step. In her bones, in her muscles, and in her skin, everything began to crawl, to tense. Shiva grinned, even as a spike of pain ripped through her spine and her fingers began to stiffen with the impending change. Soon, the bar was in sight, and Shiva could feel the wolf taking over. The others, she was sure, who were all walking with her, were experiencing the same, familiar thrill.

"Don't you wanna stay with Elle?" Delorna asked, not sure why Riko was walking towards the outer layers of the building with them, they were basing by multiple layers of defense, able fighters waiting in corridors, placing themselves in the most advantageous positions they could manage however the brunt of the force was outside, not much caring where they fought. "You stay with her, I'm not going to hide away when there are wolves to kill." Riko said hatefully. Stray wolves in the area obviously didn't like the sound of that, but Riko wasn't going to apologize for it at all, so Siobahn had to do it for them with a wave of her hand. It didn't take much more than that the Wolves knew what was happening so they could understand. A bit. "Hate to break it to you darling, but you are about 5'4 in shoes, going against empowered wolves who most likely fight all the time, while you sit around on your computer all day, I don't think you'll be too good in a fight." Delorna warned. Riko stopped and wheeled on the succubus suddenly. "I just don't want you hurt." Delorna defended raising her hands. Riko grabbed her by the shirt and pulled her close, going in for the neck she bit into her, chomping down hard, drawing blood, and a pained gasp from Delorna, who pushed Riko away after some odd seconds. That was fine with the vampire, she had gotten what she needed, she swallowed the blood in her mouth, excess dripping from the corners of her mouth, she wiped them down before leaning in and this time kissing Delorna gently on the lips. "Well stop worrying, it won't get you anywhere. Stay with Elle." Riko instructed as she and Siobahn walked outside, and joined the others who were standing off. "You and my sister?": Siobahn asked. "Jealous?" Riko asked, Siobahn snorted. "Here they come!" Someone shouted before Siobahn could retort, and true to the words, they wolves could be seen moving in, though the wolves weren't the ones to make the first attack, flames were thrown at them from a pyromage, and those on Riko's side all charged, preempting the attack, and showing just what they were made of.

Delorna wasn't thrilled to be left with the baby--what about her screamed "protector of toddlers?" But Riko had given her the task, and as pissed off as she was with the vampire right now... She stood next to the cage, peering through the bars at the sleeping baby. Elle seemed restless. Shouldn't she have changed by now if she was a werewolf? As a commotion stirred outside of the building, Delorna turned her attention to the door and steeled herself for the inevitable fight.
On the werewolves' end, they charged, undeterred by the mass of defenders. Their human selves were nearly lost now, stolen by the full moon. In this form, they were hunters, and their instincts were more attuned than ever. But their thoughts were different, far less human. What drove them was the scent of a werewolf baby just beyond these walls: they needed to get to her, bring her back to the pack. Riko's scent was familiar, too, and their brains had been programmed to see her as an enemy, both because of her race and past conflicts with her.
Dodging the fire easily, they closed in on their attackers. They gnashed their teeth as they approached, showing their strength and fearlessness. The werewolves outnumbered those defending the perimeter by just a few, and while a majority paused at the closest attackers to wrestle with them, tear them down, the rest raced past the distraction to reach those hiding toward the back.
Shiva went specifically for Riko. She seemed to appear out of nowhere, jumping from the rest of the pack and lunging straight for the vampire. Her teeth were bared, and she aimed to sink them into Riko's neck.

Riko watch the lines clashed, wincing as a few outlier slipped through, but she knew that they would be running straight into a trap, they would face hell as soon as they made it inside, and those that survived the initial breech would only drop like flies the deeper they went. She couldn't focus on that now however, she had a wolf breathing on her, quite literally. Riko, with her sense's heightened by the fresh blood in her veins was able to avoid the attack that flew her way, ducking and pacing behind her attacker who had flew by with a force to be reckoned with. "Shiva." Riko said purely off assumption, but she figured she was right on the money. "You look much uglier than you did in our first meeting. But that isn't saying much, all you mutts look like you've been kicked in the face three too many times." Riko taunted and Shiva roared. "That's it, get mad. Come at me with all you've got. So that way when I rip you apart, you'll die knowing that you couldn't match me with your best effort.". --- Elle was crying and Delorna was in a bind, she didn't think she could stop the girl from crying with her in a cage, especially with the fighting going on shaking the very foundations of the building they were in. The succubus sighed, figured that if Elle hadn't changed by now, she wouldn't and throwing caution to the wind, she opened the cage, and brought the crying child into her arms.

Shiva wasn't angry, even in her animalistic wolf state. Quite the opposite--she was enjoying the challenge. (If you could even call this a challenge, she would think if she were currently able to form the words). After missing her target, Shiva slid to a halt, braking just before she hit a wall. She faced Riko and bared her teeth once more, a sliver of a grin almost detectable at the corner of her mouth. But it was probably just a trick of the light.
Shiva pushed off of the ground and stood on her hind legs, her monstrous half wolf, half human figure towering over Riko by several feet. She approached the vampire like a hunter stalking its prey and swiped at her with her hairy arm.
Meanwhile, two of the werewolves from the front line made it through to the second, successfully tearing down the defenders. Another werewolf was thrown aside, unable to match the fae it was fighting, especially when Siobahn stepped in.
--
"Shh, darlin'," Delorna tried to soothe. It was hard to project calm when you didn't feel calm. "Hush now. Go back to sleep." Was it just her, or did Elle feel a little... furrier than usual? Then she felt the baby shifting, and when she looked down, she discovered she was no longer holdng a human infant. Soon, Elle's cries sounded more like menacing mewling, and she began clawing at Delorna's hands.

The wolf was coming at her again, and Riko was ready, shrugging at her as if the wolfs charge didn't didn't faze her, as if she didn't even have to pay attention to the hulking monster rushing at her. She evaded the swipe that came her way, and used her speed to slip behind the wolf, climbing onto it's back and throwing her head back, aiming for maximum force as she came forward and aimed to sink her teeth into the mutt's shoulder. -- The wolves that attacked were no use for Siobahn, especially in their current state. With her powers to read them, she was always one step ahead, stepping to the side when they attacked, anticipating, and avoiding in a way that made it almost impossible for her to be reacting to the attacks, and when she returned with her own attacks they were devastating. Lightning quick, and laser accurate blows to vital points under the wolves skin, shutting them down, stilling their futile movements. --- "Alright, back in the cage you go." Delorna decided, aiming to stuff Elle into that cage, and shut the door, and than throwing her body ontop of it to keep it closed, but Elle scratched her and forced Delorna to drop her, which was a terrifying thing to think about at first, but the girl was fine, she crawled away from Delorna still mewling, clawing at a spot behind her ears, as if she had an itch. Delorna decided it would be best not to move, not wanting to do anything that might agitate the wolf in anyway.

Shiva roared as she felt Riko's teeth sinking into her skin. But, in her werewolf form, her skin was thick and tough, so it would be more difficult for Riko to draw blood. Shiva moved her body about wildly and reached behind her, trying to fling the vampire off of her back. When that didn't get the job done, Shiva located the nearest wall, which was only a few yards away, and ran at it. As she approached, she turned her back to it and attempted to grab Riko's limbs to hold her in place, intending to slam Riko into the wall.
--
Elle didn't grow agitated, but rather curious. Suddenly catching the scent of her kind, Elle sniffed at the air. When she grew older, she would understand that the pack she sensed was hostile; but for now, she knew only that they could be her family, and her instincts told her to go to them. Ears perking up, she got on all-fours and began sprinting toward the door.
