"Oh ohhh... what was that little bitty noise?" Charlotte squealed, excited at the possibility of a cute Pokemon. "We better...." She then remembered what happened to the last cute Pokemon she saw, and her excitement dwindled. "Oh... well, let's go check it out, Mara." She didn't like seeing her trainer so bummed out, but there was not much Mara could do. She drifted along, hoping a happier event would unfold this time.

After a while, the grass near whatever had make the peep began to rustle as whatever it was moved. The thing went "Peep!" again, more loudly this time. A short distance away, something else gave a "Peep peep!" in answer.

Following the noise, Emalthya and Pheonix wondered to each other what the pokemon might be.
"Peep, maybe a pikachu? Or a hoppip? Or a very chibi vaporeon?"
Pheonix considered and then shook his head.
When the peeping became more widespread, Emalthya stiffened, a hand on Pheonix's side. "Either... that is one pokemon moving very fast or... we're surrounded..."
Pheonix jerked his head around and itched to set fire to the grass to reveal their quarry... or their predators...
((He's overdramatic))

Jaime struggled not to vomit as she watched the Victreebell down the Dunsparce live, in one gulp. It was astounding how some Pokemon could be so cute and innocent and others atrociously bloodthirsty. Barely any time elapsed between that event and the beginning of a new one. Some new Pokemon seemed to be communicating among themselves in the tall grass! They were making strange little "peep"ing sounds that elicited a giggle from Jaime. Instinctively, she began to meander about, attempting to follow the sounds.

This time, Joey heard it. Tiny peeps from the grass, and in more than one spot. He gulped. Hopefully it was something...cute? Small? Not higher than he was on the food chain?

Shaun noticed the sound too. "Anything that makes a peeping sound like that isn't going to be something that can eat you," he commented. Well, probably anyway. Pokemon were weird sometimes. "Maybe some kind of bird pokemon? A Pidgey could go Pi Pi. Or a Pidove." Salvo had to chime in "Pi pi!" Shaun laughed at that. "OK, so could a Tropius. But if it was another Tropius, not only would it not eat us, but it would be much too big to be hidden in the grass."

Pressing his lips. Mako gave a small shake of his head, able to feel a little sorry for the Dunsparce. But that was life for you. There was no censoring when it came to the ways of nature. Noting his company's reaction, he gave a small snort in mild amusement at the expression, "You've only got Zhira, right? I'd figure a fledgling trainer like you would want to catch what ever he could come across. Saw you didn't try for any of those darting Bellsprout, either." he eyed Hatch a little, as if trying to figure something out, "So are you looking for particular types, or certain Pokemon in general to add to your team?" it was hard for him to tell just by looking at Hatch what sort of profession he held.. they'd not discussed it in their first meeting together, and he was a bit curious now... "Are you a breeder?"
The sound of the peeping piqued his interest, head turning to look towards it, giving another gesture for Hatch to follow as he ventured on with the rest of the pack to inspect what the new commotion was. By the sounds being made... sorta sound like a shell cracking, of some kind.... Maybe a Togepi..? Exeggute?
Flua too was drawn to the sounds after Zhira reacted to them, blinking at his new friend, before looking towards his advancing trainer. Following along, the large fin at the end of his lanky body would lightly brush along Zhira's sides, fluffing the fur there with the contact.

Relief shot through Rhei when she saw the healer coming back. Good, he didn't get caught up in the terror and forget... Watching his flurry of movement, Rhei felt her eyebrows raise when he pulled a pair of white gloves from his pack. "You're a lot more professional than I would have expected from a healer in the field," she noted. She had been expecting to rinse her wound, maybe put something on it that would stop the bleeding, and then applying a bandaid. Gauze, surgical-looking gloves, and actual disinfectant (rather than ready-made wipes) were far above her expectations.
Though she braced herself at his warning, Rhei still let out an "agh" as the disinfectant ran into her wound. It stung and burned, and kept burning for a few moments more. "Age brings wisdom, I guess," she said. "You're the only healer that was paying attention. You might even be the only one out here."
Rhei grimaced as he tended her wound, nodding. "I saw it, yes. That Victreebel was pretty tall. I made Rima promise not to eat me when she evolves." She pointed to the Bellsprout on her shoulder. "This is Rima, and I'm Rhei, also twenty." Giving him a little smile, Rhei watched his hands work, but soon was distracted by a sound.
Peep peep!
"Did you hear that?"

Sunny sighed she was just trying to be nice but this trainer gave off the air that she was better than her. Yes she was not famous or her Pokemon was not purebred but that didn't matter to her. Almost all her Pokemon came to her on there own and stayed. As she heard the yelling she looked over to were the sound came from. It seemed to be from a group of people. "sorry again for bothering you. I hope luck will be with you. Good bye. " Sunny looked down at Heidi, " let's go find out what is going on Heidi. " "Zagreb." Heidi answered back Hearing the confirmation she ran off with Heidi by her side she wanted to be free from that stuck up trainer.

Blinking one last time at the space where the victreebell had been, he turned back to pay attention to Mako's questions. "Yeah. Only Zhira right now." He shifted his gaze away, blushing under the inspection, and shrugged. "No, no, not a breeder. I'm actually.. working to become a pokemon veterinarian one day. That's my goal, and I want pokemon who can help me with that." His hesitant glance back at Mako sought acceptance as they walked after the noise. He'd been told many times that he was too picky when it came to which pokemon he would try catching. "But hey, quality over quantity, right?" he observed with a bashful chuckle.
Zhira pranced away from the brushing fins, and followed after, leaping gracefully over the end of Flua's tail a few times before scooting ahead to get another listen in of the soft sounds from the grass, ears perked and alert. It sounded like a toy! Could he play with it?

 Juno gave a wave that was really more of a shooing gesture as Sunny and Heidi left. "Finally," she muttered under her breath. "Now we can make some progress. Come along, Desdemona!" The tall woman began striding briskly past the crowd of trainers and deeper into the grasslands, barely sparing a glance for the newest distraction. The Chandelure spun along beside her mistress. As they passed patches of grass that rustled and peeped, she darted forward to menace them -- leering, flashing her flames, cackling madly. {{I'm sorry Juno's so terrible. ^^;;}}

Jem flinched and shooed her Pikachu's paws away from her head. "Ow! Come on Sammy, we're fine! No reason to get violent!" This was a joke, Sammy always had a reason to get violent. The electric type simply glared at her trainer.
The peeps sounded around the group and Jem perked up again. "Hey, those could be birds or something! You can't get mad at me for investigating bird sounds, can you? You could wipe the floor with a bird!" she said to her pikachu as she began shifting through the grass, looking out for any possible pokemon.
Sammy grumbled but conceded the point: she could wipe the floor with practically any flying type. She preened surreptitiously.

When people started moving towards the source of the sounds, whatever made them started to move away each time someone approached. Trainers who were looking for the things would have to look carefully, since they were pretty small. But once in a while people would spot a flash of color among the grass. It was a white and blue thing....or no, was that red? Whatever it was, there were at least two of them, and they were heading towards each other.

Jorge heard the insistent peeping and had started to follow, keeping Layla at her side with a stern look this time. Layla scoffed, but stayed at her trainer's side, flicking her tail back and forth irritably. Jorge motioned for Gormlaith to follow if she wanted, before continuing to move towards the noises.

Realizing the small creatures were retreating away from those who approached, Jaime halted, holding out her hand to stop Doom from moving forward, too. She signaled for him to sit, and he did so. Jaime then cocked her head sideways, not knowing what else to do but watch and wait.
