Ves smiled happily as Esre decided to come with her. They were just on the divide between the boys and the girls when she decided to stop. A longing look towards the tables where all the new weyrlings were sitting made her smile disappear but then turned her attention back to the sands. "Oh look Esre! Another green! I wonder why that blue is so worried?" It made her sad to think about but perhaps he would find his before he underwent too much stress.
Edit:
Vesin smiled as she saw her sister and her new dragon walk up to them. "Its a pleasure to meet you Killakeeth!" She said happily. "Oh of course we weren't going to leave you. You were preoccupied with this beautiful thing, so I thought Esre and I would go closer to the border between the girls and boys." She shrugged but gave an encouraging smile and nod to her twin. She'd always be there for her twin, no matter what.

DraconicFeline /quote] Moving away as someone tried to lean closer to her. Still, it was best to be polite. "I'm fine. It's bittersweet watching all of this going on. It's not the first time I've stood. But it's the first time without any support." Putting on a stronger face, she gave a slight shrug. "Good for those who Impress. Even if I don't, I have my flirt Redd to keep me company." She turned and pointedly looked at the babies still on the Sands. One was looking for hers in the Stands. The others... A blue and brown. Wouldn't it be funny if she won over a brown? A rueful smile crossed her lips. What would her mother have said? Another green with a lovely song. The blue seemed nervous or worried... Had she touched it's shell? Lae couldn't remember.

The Crystallized came to a sudden halt and as a voice reached her ears. With a little chirp that sounded rather like a laugh she turned around and started to trot purposefully towards the little sibling group, her eyes whirling rainbow with the light of Impression.

Jaric
Jaric noticed that the second blue to hatch hadn't left his spot. The little guy seemed worried, eyes yellow as he looked around then Candidates, then back up at his mother. Was he nervous of them? Maybe he doesn't like people he doesn't know, just like me., Jaric thought. That made him smile sympathetically at the blue. You just need to find your rider, and then things will be better.
A high call drew his eyes to another newly hatched green. Was she singing?

Jamarin and AtibonthOf course she had seen Jikkiri impress – it was impossible not to see, not with the massive dangerous brown involved. Jamarin opened his mouth to say something, but he wasn't sure what he would say, not to Kalendol, not to Jikkiri, not even to himself. He felt moody as he looked out over the sands; jealous, betrayed, angry and... and... alone. Terribly alone. There had never been a time without Jikkiri. They might not have done everything together, but they had always been together. Without Jikkiri, Jamarin knew that he probably would have gotten his a** handed to him more than he already did. Without Jikkiri, most people didn't bother to talk to him, nor he to them. And, for all his growling and grousing and anger, he did not like to feel so alone. And, suddenly, he wasn't. A little draconic trill of pleasure by his legs made him look down, into eyes full of light. The deep, wise, kind voice slid into Jamarin's mind, fitting neatly into the spaces that had always, it seemed, been meant for it. Jamarin crouched, staring at the blue, who stared back with it's peaceful eyes, still scintillating with their opalescent rainbows. “How...” his voice choked, the tears that lurked just beyond his comprehension or control trying to bubble forth as emotions – from Jikkiri's impression, and from the sudden presence of Atibonth's guiding light inside his head – welled inside of him. He sniffed, wiping his eyes, but he was soon looking back at the dragon. He could not – would not – look away. “How do you know?” said Atibonth, softly, he gave Jamarin a gentle nudge with his head, his eyes slowly fading to a pleasant, measured blue, The prospect sounded very, very good to Jamarin. The dragon's offer contained many things, but most of all... it held the future. Jamarin did not often think about the future. said the dragon. Jamarin thought on that, and decided that he liked it. It was hard not to like it – the tide of positivity was impossible to overcome. As Jamarin let the concept of being bonded to a dragon sink – wonderfully – in, the Blue took the oppurtunity to return Poecileth's congratulations. he said, though the dragon felt neutrally to the rest of her comment. he replied, regarding the chaos of his hatching. To him, it was as chaotic as his siblings had required – each had their own needs, and for some that was attempting to disrobe his bonded, and for others it was attacking each other. However, her comment did remind him that he was hungry. But... He sent a little, mental snuggle to His mother. He wanted to go and greet her, now that he had his properly. If he went to eat now, he would leave his greeting for later, and how much later he didn't know. If he went to greet her now, he would greet her, but then he would be hungry and... “Lets both go eat.” said Jamarin, false-crossly, listening to the foreign thoughts in his head. “And then you can say hi to your ma.” He gave the gold a suspicious look, Why the blue would want to do that, he didn't know. What he did know was that it was getting from late to early, and he was hungry too. said the blue, relieved for the interruption and the decision, he began to make his way towards the meat, Jamarin standing up and following,

After several long moments the Laughing green allowed her call to die away and stood watching the candidates with glittering blue eyes. Seeming to reach a decision she started towards them, passing by the wriggling Welcoming Egg, the silent Dancing Egg, and-
CRACK!
Surprise!
The Springing Egg shattered and a large hatchling sprung forth, right on top of his sister! The pair of them tumbled over in the sand a couple of times before coming to rest with the bronze - for bronze he was, though very dark - standing over Laughing. After a couple of tense moments the newly hatched dragon let out a loud 'Blort!' of amusement and pranced off towards the Suspicious brown. Before the pale brown could react Springing had bowled him over too and the pair tumbled in the sand with Springing making mock growls and nipping lightly at his brother with his eyes whirling playfully green. For the first time since hatching Suspicious' eyes went green too and with a little cackling sound he nipped the bronze back and tried to wrestle the larger hatchling to the ground.
Laughing meanwhile was left to pick herself up, shake herself, and attempt to recover her dignity but as her eyes were now blue again after a brief alarmed flash of yellow she couldn't be too put out.

Vesresh“We just wanted to... go over there.” for Vesin's reasons. He watched the blue, concerned. He did indeed look worried, and Vesresh hoped that wasn't another harbringer of bad things to come. His attention, however, was soon taken by the gold again. “Can I pet you, Killakeeth?” he blurted out, smitten by the glorious colors of her hide. So much was happening now, though, and he held his breath – getting into the hatching now – as the gorgeous little green stood up to them, and he felt Vesin's grip loosen in his. He looked up at his sister. “Vesin?” he asked, not sure whether to be concerned or hopeful... Mazaah (Concept Entry)“... all right.” said Maz to Laenara, unconvinced. Clearly, though, the girl didn't want her near, or her attention. A piercing note distracted Maz again, and she soon forgot about the other candidate. “Now thats a nice clear sound.” she said, smiling at the dragon's trill. “Good lungs on that one.”

Jaric
With a rather explosive entrance, the first bronze of the clutch hatched. Maybe the only one, since it was the-second biggest egg after the queen. He seemed to want to wrestle, crashing into his singing sister and tumbling around with her. He didn't bother her for long though, and soon bounded off to pounce on the pale brown. He seemed to want to wrestle, playfully nipping and growling. Jaric giggled. It was like watching baby canines play! Both of them seemed to be having fun, too.

Zen thought about leaving with Vesin and Esre since Vosin had charged her and Kylerr with their protection but by the look on Vesin's face her presence may not be wanted. Well it was no hide off of her back. Zen was thinking she liked where she was rather well.
As it was, it looked like her interference wasn't necessary as the boldly marked green made an Impression among the little group who'd walked away. It made her grin, thinking of two of her 6 older brothers. There was a pair of twins in her family and she was sure, if they had decided to stand, that neither would have gone home empty-handed without the other. Shaff, her brothers would have probably ridden the same dragon if given half the chance. As was she was only the second of Offaren's line to stand and the youngest. It was doubtful that there would be any more riders if she didn't Impress.
Zen turned to Kylerr. "Looks like things have calmed down." She commented idly right as the Springing bronze well... sprung! from his shell and right ontop of one of the other hatchlings. Snaps and growls and squeeks came from the small knot before the bronze made his escape and repeated the process with another of the hatchlings. "Spoke too soon! He'd better not try that on any of us!" That... would hurt. A lot. Zen had expected the gold hatchling to be large, but shaff! The bronze was enormous compared to the brown who'd tore up half the sands.

Hmm, perhaps too harsh. "She does sound lovely." There, polite. Laenara watched as another egg cracked open. A bronze! Some might have talked if no bronze had hatched out. It seemed happy ad cheerful, putting the brown at ease. Maybe she could attempt to be friends with his rider. Lae could use that type of happiness in her life.

Ceirrys listened to the green with an appreciative ear, he could recognize a pure D after years of living with a harper mother. He let out an unexpected chortle at the antics of the springing bronze, a lively little fellow. So much for the dignified path of the green and suspicious brown. His eyes wandered back to the concerned blue, his heart went out to the young dragon, surely he would reach out to His so the candidate could comfort him?
-----------------------------------------------
Carwyn and her mother let out an appreciative gasp at the new green hatchling's pure note. What a wonderful voice, we must introduce ourselves to her soon Alaiath. Inside, Carwyn hoped it could be at the hatching feast, and she laughed at the tactics of the bronze, Perhaps he would make a good match for Ceirrys? Mine, you should not worry about Ceirrys so, he will find His in due time.

Springing soon sprung on from Suspicious, now trotting amongst the female candidates with his head held high. Every so often he would stop to lightly headbutt or n** at the clothing of a girl at random but it was pretty clear that he meant no harm by it.
Suspicious, seemingly softened a bit by his brother's antics, gave another little chuckle and started to head towards the male candidates. Part way there however he paused and turned to Bloodstained. The two seemed to communicate for a few moments and then the blue padded cautiously forward along with Suspicious, right up to the first rank of boys and then in amongst them. It wasn't long however before the blue froze and hissed, a flash of orange running through his eyes before the yellow returned. With a growl and a shake of his head he backed away again and then turned to head in amongst the female candidates instead, though he kept a distance from Springing.

Vesin and Xibath
Vesin had been so preoccupied with staring at the pretty gold who had impressed to her twin that she didn't really notice the green walking up to them until she heard a voice in her mind, a beautiful serene voice.
Vesin's hand loosened it's grip on Esre and her head snapped forward again, though it seemed like it was slow motion. The swirling rainbow eyes of the green with crack like markings on her stared straight through her. A soft smile rose to Ves's face, all the longing gone for she had hers.
"It's okay Esre. This is Xibath. Xibath, these are my siblings Vosin and Vesresh or Esre." She said, putting a hesitant hand on Xibath's head.
Xibath leaned into her Vesin's touch. Xibath nosed Esre's hand, the siblings were important to hers so they were important to her. <Vesresh, a strong name for shy boy. I do hope you'll grow into it.> She gave a nod to the gold and hers. If it was her Vesin's twin which was obvious, she would probably be seeing lots of the gold rider. She said to both Vosin and her gold.
Vesin smiled at the green dragon, HER dragon. "Of course Xibath." She said aloud, still not believing it completely.

Kylerr gave Zen a look after Ves started to walk away, much more tempered this time, looking for some cue. He decided to stick with her and let the two wander off, giving a cheer toward Vosin as she and the Gold walked by. But then- Any sound of a Dragon is beautiful in its own way. Every roar, rumble, shriek, call. And they echo through the body in a very particular way. Kylerr froze in place, his eyes focused on nothing in particular, as some dragonet, somewhere, sang. It washed over him, and he turned to look in the direction it came from, just to catch a glimpse of the green standing tall and proud. She made her way towards the candidates... but got tackled before she made too much progress. The way she handled it made Kylerr laugh, and he searched for the other Harper in the crowd. He thought he'd seen another wearing the telltale blue earlier. "Yes... yes, they have," he said to Zen. And her next words reminded him, this was still far from over, and the size of the Bronze was nothing to be amused by... yet. "Hopefully he finds his soon!"

Jameson walked with his pale green towards the healers but paused when Karath hissed at the green she had been fighting with, almost as if she heard her comment about Karath being an idiot . 'Brat.' was all Karath said on the matter before waltzing up to healer herself, sitting down proudly and looking up at them while Jameson couldn't help chuckling. Somehow he knew his little girl was going to be a handful. "Could you guys fix her up?" He asked of the Healers as he arrived at Karath's side, putting himself between the green's view of Baeveth. He could see the hunger in her eyes and start to feel it himself. He wanted to get her all cleaned up and fed so he could start get to knowing his girl. 'They better hurry. I'm starving! That brat over there delayed me too much.' Karath semed to tilt her head in Baeveth's direction but didn't broadcast her thoughts to anyone but Jameson who pet her eye ridges, not caring about the ichor getting on his fingers. "You should hurry." He said to Malta, though he didn't mean anything by the tone he used, which was a bit impatient. He just wanted his girl comfortable.
