Melinda smiled at Kamen and let out a quiet chuckle when she noticed him jump "My apologies young sire, I did not mean to startle you" she said with a small bow, "and Mister Bowen is in the kitchen helping the cook" she said still smiling, motioning with her hand down the hall that would lead him there.

 ••KamenΩKurr••Don't judge a Black Ice by it's cover... Kamen looked where she was pointing then looked back at her and nodded. "Thank you." he headed that direction. He had to ask a couple more people but when he got near he could smell the aroma from the kitchen he smiled and poked his head in and looked around for Bowen. ...I'm a lover not a fighter.

The Demon Arion Do not be fooled by my calm demeanor
Bowen was chopping away at some ingredients, and looked up only when the cook tapped his forearm with his elbow, to get his attention. Once he looked up and saw why the cook had stopped him, he nodded and smiled at Kamen "Good afternoon young sire" he said with a small bow, before rinsing his hands, drying them and unrolling his sleeves as he approached the young dragon.
"With what can I assist you?" he asked kindly.

Kamen looked towards the chef distracted for a moment, only looking back at Bowen when he was right in front of him he blinked then cleared his throat. "Oh ugh right...I'm...I'm done with that book you let me barrow." ...I'm a lover not a fighter.

Bowen smiled once more "Would you like to read another?" he asked already thinking of leading Kamen to the library "Or would you like to stay and help with the cooking?" Bowen asked with a smile as he noticed Kamen stare at the cook for a while.
Bowen looked over at the cook, to see if the male had a problem with that, but the male just shrugged.
" 'e can 'elp wi'd da postrre" the cook said with an extremely thick accent.

••KamenΩKurr••Don't judge a Black Ice by it's cover... Kamen seemed to beam at that, so the cook didn't mind? Either Arion already talked with him or he was just that willing to let him help. Either way he looked at Bowen then and nodded. "I want to read more yes, but I think I need to stretch my legs and get out of that room for awhile. Mind sending one up for me to read later? ...I'm a lover not a fighter.

Bowen nodded "Ill will gladly take the next book to you later then" he said with a small smile before motioning with his hand "will you like to help making desert then?" he asked seeing how the cook had offered up the job.
"You can get some tips while you help as well" he added in, behind him the elderly cook nodded.

"You are very much welcome young sire" Bowen replied, while the cook nodded at Kamen when he started to help. There was a lot of fruit chopping seeing how they were making simple fruit tarts.
"Alvay mai shur to 'ave fresh fruit" the cook said "mas sweet" he added in.

••KamenΩKurr••Don't judge a Black Ice by it's cover... His accent was so thick Kamen had to really strain his ears to make sure what he was saying. Once he had it though he nodded and followed his instructions. He also made sure he didn't move too fast or else his side would flare up. So far he was doing okay, which meant he would be completely healed soon. ...I'm a lover not a fighter.

Bowen remained with them, continuing to assist the cook, and also in case Kamen needed a translator, he knew how hard it was to understand the cook for the first time, it took some time to be able to understand him.
Bowen smiled when he noticed the cook look over Kamen shoulder to see how he was doing, and nodded with an approving look on his face.
"Vell, verry vell done" the cook said.

"I love cooking, any chance I get to learn something new I take it, it's very therapeutic, and makes me smile to see others eat my cooking" he blinked then sheepishly smiled. The cook closed his eyes in thought as he tapped his chin, but smiled at Kamen when he apologized for the rambling.
"It is all goot, no apologize. Ve needz, happy fun gtalk! Rambling it is fine, Ramble mas!" he said with a smile patting Kamens back "Hmmm....ve'll see 'bout ze cooking" he added in.

Bowen was just watching them at the moment, he noticed, how Kamens humming actually got to the cook, as he too began humming in tune with Kamen. Bowens eyes widened a little, before he smiled and quietly chuckled, 'Seems the dragon boy, is bringing a lot of change already' He quietly thought to himself, reminding him of when he and Arion began making changes without even thinking about it.
