Axel stood there looking really uncomfortable, torn between the urge to pat Terry on the shoulder and the instinctive feeling that trainees did not pat instructors, leading to a weird hoverhand-date kind of thing going on.

Terry Tuggle merely clapped Axel on the shoulder once more before choking out, "Carry on, trainee." He then wandered off, but not before he blew his nose into a kitten-patterned hankie.

Zinnia stared at the sobbing instructor with slight terror and much confusion, and was relieved when he left without addressing her directly. She couldn't tell if he was crying tears of joy or sorrow at their work.

Date rolling for: 8-22 I painted: 1 Percentage of fence painted: 27 Rennati was so glad lots of people were showing up to help paint the fence and was sure they were just as shocked as she was that the fence was all fixed. Oh, the alien was supposed to be a princess. Well, it was definitely better than she could do! "Well it's a very pretty princess! I could never draw anything like that." She painted a little bit more before stepping back to admire the fence that was appearing. After hearing a request for dragons, she walked down to where Alec started painting. "Oh Alec that's awesome!" She said happily.

Watching Alec work, Hwan tried to figure out the trick of it. It wasn't that he struggled terribly with being creative but rather Hwan lacked the delicacy and sometimes the patience to handle an artistic craft. It was one of the weaknesses he hoped to someday overcome. Sitting back as his friend worked, he felt tense as if on the edge of his seat as the masterpiece came to life. The redhead's work on the cat had been impressive.
The dragons were magnificent.
"You are so talented it's unfairrr!" He laughed and jumped on the other boy's back in an aggressive expression of joy. "Thank you thank you thank you!" It became clear that Alec had not been expecting to suddenly support the weight of two people and the twin sort of melted off to the ground.
Noticing that there was only one set of whiskers on Alec's face, Hwan reached to smear some paint with his thumb on the other side to complete the look with a grin.
"Oi, get your own artist! He's mine for the next hour!" Rennati approached to comment on the fantastic painting and Hwan teased her a little bit. She was fun to fluster, he couldn't help it.

Lenore gave a cursory look-over of the picture Zin had drawn of Lenore and herself. She didn't know what to say, so she said nothing. For a moment, at least. Then, "It looks good." It was a lame response, but the only one she could think of. She went back to painting the fence in a uniform color.

Larisa hadn't been able to do anything but stop and stare for a long few moments after entering the peace garden. She'd expected more wood gathering, more fence building, and while it wasn't an entirely pleasant prospect, it had just been what was necessary. Instead, the fence was all there, as if it had never broken at all, and several other trainees were already working to get it all painted. This was amazing! What kind of magic had Terry worked to do so much in the space of one night?
Laughing delightedly, she went for a paintbrush and found a spot of her own. Everyone else had drawn such wonderful little things, princesses and dragons and cats and friends. She wanted to put something of her own on it! But what to paint....? After a moment, she decided there was really only one choice, and began painting trees as big as the fence's height would allow, with lots of branches to climb on! Maybe if she was careful she could fit little people on them?

Painting the fence! Date rolling for: 8-23 I painted: 1 Percentage of fence painted: 35% Zinnia grinned at her friend. "Thanks!" she said. Then she wandered over to where Lenore was methodically painting. She stood for a moment as if admiring Lenore's work, then grabbed a clean brush and dipped it into Lenore's paint can. "I'll help you!" she said with a smile, catching on to the younger girl's technique. Their patch of the fence looked quite uniform and, well, normal. It was probably what Terry Tuggle had had in mind.

And he was also maybe a little egotistical after all the compliments. He decided to paint something that expressed the tortured inner workings of his soul.

Shakuntala dabbed the tip of the brush she held here or there as she attempted to paint a dandelion. Unfortunately, the more she painted hues of yellow and green onto the fence, the more she found herself disliking her attempt at the weed. Frowning, she sloshed a large splash of yellow paint on her doodle and rendered a large, yellow circle on the fence. To the side, where she saw Axel's horse, she thought it looks like the creature was spitting out a large, golden fireball.
"It... I-it looks so... fierce," she complimented with a scratch of her cheek to the steed.

Squawking when the other launched himself onto his frame, he surprisingly held the weight for a moment or two..use to his sister doing so, but after a bit and with the extra momentum he easily toppled over onto the ground. Soon decorated with another set of whiskers his face lit up with a flushed expression some-what before swatting hand at the face touching his face laughing. "Walls don't make me look even more like a cat this hat does it's job already!" He snickered laughing along with the other and grinning at him. Gently pushing at the other he managed to crawl back just a little, staying crouched down by the other offering to help him up, his gloved hand reached out for the other, likely to stand upon their rising up. Alec hadn't expected all the praise and fussing. He beamed at the pair close to him fussing over his work. To Rennati the red head flashed a big smile. "I can help you with something too! When I'm done with this lot, did you have something in mind?" He asked the female peering up from his paint attack he'd received from Hwan's doing. While he was still crouched down, he reached over with a paint brush, fixing a line, and adding a little color here and there before truly calling the project "finished". Painting the fence! Alec finished up with the dragons and turned to Rennati to discuss any requests with her. Hwan smiled and went back to painting the fence a basic solid color, watching the blonde out of the corner of his eye. She was incredibly shy and kind of self-conscious from what he knew of her and so he felt proud of her for striking up a conversation with the redhead. He wouldn't call himself her keeper or brother but Hwan did feel compelled to look after his friend a little bit. She was Larisa's room mate and any friend of Larisa's was a friend of his.
Leaving the two to talk, he actually got quite a bit done on the fence and admired his handiwork with smug satisfaction. Now it was a fresh white canvas for the artistic types to work with and he wondered what strange things they'd add to it? He noticed a wicked looking horse and a row of trees that stood out as impressive. Getting an idea of his own, he flagged his brother down to discuss the plan with him.
"Jeong, we should paint Tuggle!" He confided to his double in a loud whisper. "I mean he built this thing from the ground up. Literally." It wasn't for lack of trying on their part but in the end, it was the weepy hairy Terry Tuggle himself that had put up the fence. They ought to immortalize the creator on the masterpiece somehow.
Dipping his brush into some paint, he began to work on a splotchy pink circle to serve as the face.
