Barth would whistle or sing to pass the time, but he wanted to conserve his breath and his mood was not all that cheery..
After actually painting 6 more roses, (13/10) and doing extra work, Barth was in a very, very, very dark mood. If he had his thorns, there would have been a lot more new growth in the garden, that was for sure.

Bronze clopped over to the crudely built structure. When he turned to ask if it was safe, the guard was gone. "Huh, I guess I shouldn't be surprised by that anymore..." He found some large brushes and a stack of rusty paint buckets. Hefting them, he took the one that wasn't too heavy, but felt like it had enough paint to coat a good army of flowers. Wandering down the twisting maze of brambles a ways, Bronze looked for unpainted roses to coat. Along the way he found a mostly white bloom, but there were splotches of an almost indescribable color... It was a little unsettling, so he daubed the brush and delicately painted over the elderich hue. (+1 rose for a 5) When he did find roses, he seemed to find them in clusters. It was fairly easy to move from one patch to the next a few yards down. He made a couple turns down dead ends to properly cover the flowers in them. The Cheshire took his time to make sure the paint didn't glob up or thin out too much, he wasn't sure that it mattered, but he didn't like the idea of disappointing someone (possibly the Queen?) for doing a shoddy job. By the time he rounded a corner and encountered a chest of loot, he was ready to pack up his brushes and return to the tavern. The color of the unpainted roses was disturbing in a way he couldn't describe, especially as he couldn't quite place what color it even was. Each glance it seemed to change, he ended up feeling woozy trying to watch the change occur... It was with much relief that he collected his reward Taking this card: http://zoo.thesporkedken.com/download/wonderland/cards/attack_6_5.jpg
