Aysun Post 5

Aysun turned his full attention to his brother, leaning in so that he could bump his forehead against that of his brother in a gentle manner, "It's going to be alright. Momma will beat those idiots from Oba to death with her hammer like she constantly threatens to do to Uncle Jacin." He reassured his brother, not wanting for him to think too hard about all of the bad things that might happen out there. He knew their family, how tough they all were, they would be alright! At least it was something that he wanted to believed. Better to pray for the best then act the part of some doomsayer he thought to himself, unable to help but to twitch a little bit at the thought.

"Come on, we will go and see Gram and the others, I am sure that it will be fine for us all to hang out at the tent." He said, moving to lead the way, feeling that since he and Chandra were the oldest amongst the lot of them that they should take charge. Chandra wasn't really the take charge sort though, huh? He would take charge for now then! Maybe sure that everyone got to where they were going. Once they were there he saw zero reason to talk to the other boys any longer, he'd of done his part after all he thought to himself. Once everyone had taken someone else's hand he set to work leading them to where they were going.

It wasn't really far to where they were heading and inside the tent, one set up for patients that hadn't arrived yet luckily, were their twin aunts and their grandmother. He gave a smile, squeezing Chadra's hand, then said to those he'd led here, "It should be safe here! Our Gram and Aunts are the best!" He told the others. He was rather glad that they were here, it made him feel a lot better. They weren't their mom or dad but they were still family, something that they were able to take comfort in. At least someone was nearby, someone that he wanted nothing more then to cling to... were it not for the fact that he was being strong for his brother who needed him to be strong or so he felt.

Rishima Post 5

Rishima gave a soft sigh and a nod, "I agree." He murmured, wishing that Gerraden didn't have to fight in this battle. He was a lot younger then some that were standing before them, ready for battle, and he had a lot less training as well. He supposed that he should take into account that he had a lot in the way of heart though. He couldn't count that out though he still worried about him and his safety. He pushed that thought aside though when Jerarda suddenly spoke up, saying that she was going to be going to talk to Yansa, that if she didn't return before the start of the war that they were to keep each other alive.

His mismatched eyes went wide and he gave a soft gasp, "J-Jerarda...?" Why was she leaving? She'd just come back to him he thought to himself, a little frantically, relaxing only a touch when she pulled him into another hug. He didn't like this, not in the least bit, that she was going to leave like this. She should just stay with them, they could go and find Yansa together! Rishima knew the elder as well after all so surely it would be fine for him to tag along! Though... what of the others? Those that might not know her? He should probably act more grown up, huh? Not get so shaken by Jerarda leaving but instead do as she told him to do, as he always did.

Turning back to look at the others in the group he drew in a deep, steadying breath, held it, then let it out slowly, "Alright, it's probably best that we try to stick together." He said to Gerraden. Even if the others started to break apart into various groups he'd at least keep the other halfbreed male with him so that he could at least keep him safe. He'd just have to pray to Aisha that Jerarda came back to join then before the battle started. He'd feel so much better if she was there with them.

He then turned to the others in the group and asked, "What do you plan to do?" Would they stay here? Or would they be going too?

Iroia uttered an indignant squawk as she scrambled out of the way, she got a scratch for trouble but that was better then the stabbing she had been in order for. She hopped up and back, and back again. Circling she rushed in again and came at him from his side, when she was close she curled and somersaulted behind him aiming a slash at the back of his calves and rolling forward and far as she could before popping up like a daisy in a defensive stance, watching his eyes and swiftly glancing to see if she had even hit him.

Alek nodded one last time as Zuri bid him farewell then followed his sister back over to her husband and the gathering of prentices. He made a valiant attempt to stand straighter and smile genuinely. It mostly worked. At least he could be proud of that.

Even so, it took the ice lad another couple of minutes to get close enough to hear anyone's conversations. He watched everyone with curiosity, trying to decipher what the others were doing so that he might lend a hand. "Sorry I disappeared," he said. "Um... I'm Alek. Is there anything I might help you with?"

Because Yansa is standing there. XD

Tahigwa post 6

"OKAY! I have to go, too!" Tahigwa squealed, calming down only slightly with the second kiss. "I won't leave you, Ly-Ly... I promise we'll meet up at the end of this!"

As soon as Ilyra vanished in the crowd, Tahigwa was off looking for her older brother. Where was he? They had him with the defensive magic people, right? Wasn't that by Yansa? WAS SHE PAIRED WITH HIM? Oh, Aisha, thank you AISHA! She was more than safe with her brother, she knew that! As soon as his long, black curls came into view, Tahigwa was latched onto his back like glue.

"YAHOLO, YOU WON'T BELIEVE IT!" She shrieked, bouncing up and down. "Ilyra and I are girlfriends! IT'S OFFICIAL!" She did a quick spin before finally noticing Briella standing close by and gave her a quick hug as well. "I will be the best daughter in law in the world! These swords won't fail you!"

Yaholo post 6

Yaholo turned his head away from Yansa as he was greeted by Briella and a pleased smile crept across his features. Ah, good, a sister he knew would be close by. At least he wasn't going to be on a team filled with people he didn't know...

"Absolutely." He nodded, firmly. "As I trust your swords will do the same?"

Then, his back was attacked by Tahigwa, and her news sent him through quite a few emotions. First, he was startled, then miffed, before grinning as she squealed. However, as she twirled and went to snuggle Briella, he couldn't help but feel a touch of terror wash over him.

Where was Oulixes? Was he here? Had he made it back from Zena alright?

He paused, seemingly dazed, and shook himself free before too long. No, he was strong, resilient. He was here, somewhere, and even if he couldn't see him... He was alright. He sighed, letting go of the tension, and smiled.

"Well, looks like I'm going to be a son-in-law of sorts, now, huh?" He chortled. "You know, I wonder when it will be my turn to dance around like that because of one person..."

Ogbonna post 6

Ogbonna turned his head towards Nua and gave him a firm nod, before pointing towards where Yansa stood.

"Yes, we're going to be over there, Nua!" He exclaimed, smiling. "I'll meet you there in just a moment, okay?"

Then, he turned to Enki once more, his face rather serious. He motioned towards Nua and sighed, as if troubled.
"He has no idea what's going on, Enki." He explained. "I think he thinks we're just going off to have a friendly spar. How can I tell him the truth before he goes out there and gets himself really hurt?"

I'm moving them over to where Antiope is, she can follow!

Also, I'm going to add Pahana to the mix, if you don't mind? |3

Natsu post 5

Natsu placed his arm gently around Finnley as she came closer and patted her shoulder.

"You'll be fine, we're all here to help each other." He said, smiling. "You'll be able to heal just fine, I'm sure of it. All you need to do is have a little faith and not be afraid to ask questions if need be."

He pulled her in for a quick snuggle and shook his head.
"We're all scared, honey, but we can't lose our heads." He assured. "As long as we stay together and work as a team, we'll be fine."

Viveka post 5

Viveka sniffled a little, much like a small child, and sighed. Yeah, Rastian was a monk, he could take care of himself... Right? He pressed up against Natsu further as the hustle and bustle increased and pursed his lips.

"I guess you're right..." He agreed. "But... I... Uh... Oh, I just..."

He was running out of excuses to keep worrying, and it was making him tired.

Pahana post 4

As more and more people gathered around Antiope's side of the field, Pahana quickly began to feel cramped. She made a few elaborate moves to squeeze her way out of the crowd and heaved a sigh of relief when she was finally free. Green eyes peered down the line of tents beside her as she moved around the people that raced too close to her, and caught sight of Natsu and Viveka.

"Natsu! Viveka!" She cried, relieved to see her brother's friends so close by. "Over here! This woman is leading the people who are staying behind! Come get settled!"

Or, rather, "help me feel less alone in all of this, please!"

Samoset post 5

Samoset tugged his brother along somewhat roughly, due to how reluctant Kennet was being, and smiled as Aysun lead them straight to where he felt would be safest. The half-breed grinned and eased his grip on his brother's arm, before suddenly gasping.

"Oh, no! Auntie Paha!" He exclaimed, turning to Kennet. "We forgot to tell her we were going to find stuff! She's probably so worried about us!"

Kennet post 5

Kennet abhorred being tugged, just as much as he abhorred the idea of this stupid war. He deliberately dragged his feet, just to make it harder for Samoset to pull him, and heaved a sigh as the death grip on his arm was finally lessened. He gazed to the side, observing the tent he had been lead to for a second or so, before giving his brother an awkward stare.

"You said that you didn't want aunt Pahana to know we were gone..." He said, arching an eyebrow. "So... Does that mean you care if she worries about us or not?"

Rastian needs to see his Senja before he goes off to war. >w>

Rastian post 6

As the crowds began to form swiftly around their given stations, Rastian took his leave from his elders and set off in search of someone he had caught a glimpse of earlier. Senja was here to help with the aid at home, something he was both thankful for, and worried about. Hopefully she would stay out of trouble and stick to her instincts, instead of doing something crazy, not that she was, she was wonderful! He sighed, adjusted his shoulder strap, and grinned when the silver haired maiden was spotted.

"Senja! I thought I saw you!" He exclaimed, sitting down next to her. "I hope you'll be alright here and know where you can go for help, if you need it." He paused, blushing. "Oh, and, you look lovely, by the way."

"I pray to Bergchi that I can come back to you in on piece, Senja..." He thought.

Aminah (Post 5)

Aminah nodded her head solemnly to Ethelfleade. "Well then, we'll see each other in the field. Good luck to you, I'll be in the back field I guess." Or at least according to the elders she would be. The girl trotted off and Aminah was left with Kaalnia.

"I'll go find her before I report for duty." She squeezed one of Kaalnia's hands before letting go. "Stay safe. Hopefully this will end quickly and positively, right?" Aminah gave the Alkidike a small smile before moving over to the weapon tents, hoping to find Dyakida fairly easily. She was running out of time.

It was fairly easy to see the only Alkidike manning a weapon tent. Dyakida was the only Alkidike she even knew of that didn't fight like the others did. She approached at a jog, stopping short of the tent and, even though she knew her friend couldn't see it, she smiled. "Dyakida. I heard you were looking for me. I would have made it over faster if I could have." She set her staff down on one of the tables, leaning a hip against it and resting for the moment. "I'm sorry we don't exactly have more time."

Sathe (Post 5)

Sathe's face turned down into a frown when he affirmed her suspicions that he would be going to war, too. It put a sharp ache in her heart that she couldn't control. As soon as Gaddok's fingers laced with her own the ache turned in her chest like a crank, but it was a very different feeling than the sorrowful ache of just moments before. It was more of a pounding twist, catching her breath and making it harder to think of anything at all.

She was surprised at the sudden touch of her face, closing her eyes and just briefly allowing herself to enjoy it. She closed her hands around his fingers, locking his hands with hers and let the warmth of it spread up her arms. "You shouldn't joke about getting hurt you know." She frowned. She would hate to have to see him anything worse than perfectly healthy, and with this war hanging over them she didn't want to risk jinxing anything.

The sudden declaration of his thoughts being on her seemed to jolt her awake almost. It was like a release was triggered and she couldn't seem to hold her frown any longer than she could hold a coherent thought in her head. Her face filled with a blush, after all she had never been in a situation like this, never even had a crush before, and now her feelings were being returned without her having the time to process what her own feelings even meant. She squeezed his hands and let her mouth form the smile she couldn't even begin to try to contain. "Of course I want to see you again. And uninjured." She added.

Antiope sized up the crowd that had gathered around her with her hands planted on her hips. She put a hand quickly on Pahana's shoulder before assessing the crowd and deciding it was time to take a little bit of action in getting everyone together and under her wing. She scrambled higher onto a stack of crates and spread her arms out to the group, as if she was gathering her chicks into a smaller space. "All right, there will be plenty to do for everyone. It might seem quiet at first, but always be prepared for the unexpected. That's the number one rule when you're under my watch." She called out, trying to make sure her voice carried over the crowd, though it was difficult to get her lungs to make that much noise. She wasn't used to having to oversee so many. She would probably need some sort of pecking order to straighten out those who had the most experience and could help her. "Now! I'm going to need to get a feel for where I can use everyone. Those with healing experience move to the front, those without, back up a little make room." This could work.

----------------

Before more people had shown up to help with scouting the little boy from Sauti seemed to come out of nowhere. It had Enki sighing, though it wasn't the boy's fault. He wasn't a kids kind of person to begin with. He raised an eyebrow at the boy following Ogbonna. "Good luck Ogbonna. Try to keep your friend there safe and out of the front if he insists on going. Now go meet up with your elder." Enki nodded his head to the boy before rushing him off. It was closing in on the time to get going.

An ice earthling girl and an Alkidike girl were the only other two to volunteer vocally, but others had joined in on the crowd of would-be scouts. "Now we only need a handful to move forward and see where their position is." Enki pointed out Rayolun, Ethelfleade, and Bhima. "You three will suffice." He could see their weapon choice and it would make a good group for scouting. It would be better if there was an archer also, but he had to deal with what he had. "Move forward with me and we'll see if we can get a look at their numbers.

Enki thanked the others for volunteering and moved to trot off into the forest, waving for the three to follow. "This won't be a long journey. We have word that they are less than two miles out." He spoke softly, now that the crowd had receded behind them.

----------------

Yansa looked over the group of Alkidike Sisters that had gathered for placement. The Alkidike were of little use being in the back lines, their only weapon choices dictating that they be in the thick of things. Though it didn't bother the Sister, she was trained for close combat and confident. Yaholo, a half Sister, had the misfortune of wanting to use an earthling weapon. That automatically set him apart from the other Sisters and now she had to alter her train of thought to include him. "Yaholo. You will be better suited in the back, protecting the magic users. Besian will know better where to place you. Good luck, Sister." She nodded to the half Sister and after sweeping across the group of Alkidike women, noticed Jerarda holding a hard stare in her direction.

She excused herself from the others, motioning them to gather together toward the front of where they would be leaving from and moved to join Jerarda. "Sister."

----------------

Besian and Freya moved to take their place with Vescillea and Enlil, gathering up the rear. The guards would be focused in two points, the front and the back. The close combat warriors would be the very front, interspersed with heavy defense users, while the shield bearers would focus their efforts on protecting the rear. Besian seemed to overhear the Alkidike's conversation and nodded in Yaholo's direction signaling his affirmation of where Yaholo should report. Freya seemed to be in conversation with Vescillea, gesturing with her hands while they spoke.

Enlil interupted Vescillea long enough to pull their attention to Rastian, offering their words of encouragement, though neither were very happy about the reminder of what they had to deal with the last time they had seen Rastian, but after their short hello's they were back in conversation, Rastian seeming to be distracted as well.

As soon as Gaddok's fingers laced with her own the ache turned in her chest like a crank, but it was a very different feeling than the sorrowful ache of just moments before.

Gaddok: Post 6

The pressure in his chest subsided, a weight lifted from his shoulders, and for the first time in the last couple of weeks he could take a full breath. Part of his anxiety was lifted and now all he could turn his attention to the war. “I make no promises that I will be uninjured, a bit too optimistic for someone with my “experience”, but I promise I will return; That I can do.” He was flattered at her concern, but figured it best to do his part in distracting her.

Gently pressed his lips to the tips of her fingers, he broke their embrace, “As elated as I am to see the feelings for you are mutual, I should probably return my attention to my excuse for coming in here… Not to mention it will better my odds on returning to you uninjured.” Gaddok indicated to the salves that once held her attention. “I managed to get some worn shirts that I tore up for makeshift bandages, but I’m lacking in the actual healing items. Is there any chance you have extra supplies I could take with me?” He didn’t want to hinder the healers, but if there were minor injuries that could be tended to on the battlefield that would give them an edge, right?

Gaddok got temporarily distracted by the young shifter calling out to the healer crowd. If the healers were gathering together, then it must be nearing time for him to find the warriors fighting in the front lines; not to mention he still had to find Kiyelt. “Well, it looks like things are being set in motion. I had best find my place in all of this, and it looks like they’re calling for you too.” He pointed to the crowd of healers.

Sathe (Post 6)

Sathe let their hands fall apart and felt a little more at ease now that she had something better to look forward to after the war was over. Sathe stood up, eager to do what she could to help Gaddok. She fumbled with the things she had been working on before gathering what she could. "Of course you should take some." She pressed as many bandages and even more salves and creams as she could into Gaddok's hands. If it would help keep him safe and from being hurt, she would load him down with them.

"It looks like it is that way, doesn't it?" She frowned at the sudden announcement of their forced break from conversation. "Stay safe out there. I mean it." She squeezed a hand again, wanting to do more to comfort him and, if being honest, to comfort herself.

Chandra Post 5

He wasn't exactly sure if he liked the idea of their mother killing people either. Though he supposed it was better that she lived and others died...why did the world have to be so complicated? Giving a look to the two boys who were suddenly concerned about someone named Pahana. It sounded as if they were suppose to be with her rather than with them. It didn't matter to him, really everyone should be with their loved ones at time like this. Too bad most of theirs were fighting.

Allowing his brother to lead him towards the tends and towards their grandmother he just sighed. Was the healing tents really the best place for them to be? He wasn't really sure if he...would be okay seeing people come in wounded. What...what if mom or dad came in? Chandra was pretty sure he would be sick if he saw them bleeding.

Licking his lips the poor boy sighed and then clung tightly to his brother. "I hope...we don't see anyone we know.."

Finnley: post 6, Natsu & Viveka
Natsu's touch was like a cool rain on a hot Juaharan day. It was relief, and comfort, and an escape from all that was around her. Finnley was glad for his snuggles and would be content to never leave. It was then that the elders started speaking again, and then a girl called out to Natsu and Viveka. "I suppose we should go and try to figure out where we have to go. Do...do either of you have any healing knowledge? Can...can we all stay together?" She asked timidly, staying close to Natsu. Her eyes were apologetic towards Viveka, she wished she could make him feel better. Heck, she wished she could make everything better...
