Mia smirked, and summoned her butterflies.
She, on the other hand, would get this over with with one swift strike.
... perhaps two.
Still, she smirked when her butterflies made a clean hit, but frowned as it began regenerating.
Disgusting thing.

West didn't waste any time. He struck a shadowy mascot of his own soon after Levi found hers, his FEAR lending speed and precision to his punches. The creature might have hissed softly in response, but it was lost in the boil's pleased chuckle. This thing was no match for him. Nothing in this competition was.

He followed the smack with a solid kick, dancing away from the creature on his toes in case it decided to try something sneaky. The shadow bent toward the ground as it was hit, almost as if it was catching its breath, then it straightened again and lashed out. Its teeth grazed West's arm, and even though there was barely a scratch, the boil snarled in disapproval.

He tucked his fingers into a tight fist and drew his hand back. Even though it was made of shadow, the centipede was now missing several legs and had a long, irregular crack running up its back.
"You should stay down," West muttered. "Would be less mortifyin' for y..."
It was barely noticeable at first, but soon it became too obvious to miss. The crack was beginning to close. The thing was healing.
West HP: 47-3 = 44/50
