She saw you there, Cass-sempai. If it was possible to sparkle in greeting, Stormy did so; or maybe that was just the light from above playing off her scuba gear.
The sparkling stopped when she realized that, for the strategy to work, she would have to defend Finn--well not have to, but it was about time she worked on her Moon skills some more anyway.
Maneuvering herself to make eye contact with Finn as he came, she distracted most of the mermaids near him so that he could get a more clear shot at them.

That was okay, Cass. Milo really liked giving people a thumbs up even if there was a job to be done because it still meant you were having a good time even in the face of danger. On previous dives, Mimsy had never stopped to fight any of the creatures that attacked her. Some, like the tentacles, were undeserving of that kind of retaliation - others were just easier to swim past, or evade in some other capacity.
Svensyl's glow was distracting beneath the water, but the resistance she met when she tried to fend off one of the mermaids was a much greater hurdle to overcome. This would take some getting used to.
