 I am the Light of this World
The Beacon of Hope for Everyone~ Hikari ~
Once again, the towel that had held the ice had fallen from Hikari's forehead and onto the bed, the ice having already melted. Her temperature had risen slightly now that Miko was exhausted and not able to continue keeping her magic on her. Again, sweat had begun to bead up on her forehead and now her golden hair hung limply, dampened by it. Her breath had started to come out in uneven gasps, as she was beginning to show signs of discomfort due to her illness. Just then, Gannon's hand closed around Hikari's and now the cold he had been putting out had risen in intensity, but was definitely a comfort for the feverish Reyvateil. She unconsciously burrowed closer to Gannon and the frost that he was giving off, letting out a tiny sigh of relief in her sleep as she did so. Her breaths calmed slightly, though they were still strained but she seemed to be sleeping just a tiny bit easier now.

Miko~
Something woke the half-ling out of her light slumber. She glanced at the bed and noticed that Gannon had moved. She leaned over and whispered his name, wondering if he had awakened. She glanced down and noticed that he had taken told of Hikari's hand. She wanted to chuckle at the adorable sight and give him grief about it later perhaps, but she noticed that Hikari's fever had returned and frowned. Reaching over, she felt the girl's forehead. It's no good, and I'm still too tired to do anything...
But then she noticed that the Teru's power of ice had started to overpower the magic that the doctors were using to contain it. It also seemed to be helping the Reyvateil with him. She didn't look so miserable like that, at least."Oh, no, again? I see he is beginning to overcome our fire barrier." The nurse had come in and made to leave. "I'm going to tell them that they need to use more magic.""No, no wait!" Miko said, putting an arm on her shoulder. "I think it'd be a better idea to let it be. He didn't seem to feel that well when you had that fire magic suppress him. And Hikari here seems fine with it. It's helping her a bit when I can't do much more for her. Don't worry, if it gets out of control I'll go find you guys, but could you just let them be for awhile?" She asked. "I think the both of them would feel a lot better that way." "If you insist..." The girl frowned. "But I will be checking in every hour to make sure everything is still all right as well.""Thank you," Miko said, nodding to the woman as she left her alone in the room with Gannon and Hikari to watch over them once again alone.

Ishira rubbed his hand through his hair and exhaled forcefully. He paced once and took refuge on a nearby chair. He placed his head in his hand looking at the floor. Rhaplanca waited patiently for him to speak, "I know," he paused and screwed his eyes shut, "I know that you're really Rhemi's replacement," he blurted.
  Rhaplanca A small exhale escaped Rhaplanca's lips.
 "I see," Rhaplanca repeated, "How long have you known?" She was adding up Ishira's mood lately.
Ishira looked up but Rhaplanca wouldn't meet his eyes, "On Renove and Snow's airship, that C.P.G. commander told me while you were stuck in your cosmosphere." It has to be him. Rhaplanca tried to to keep her face expressionless but her hands were knotting the skirt of her nightgown. She just stared at the floor, eyes unfocused. He's alive, and he never came back? Why? Ishira continued, "You should have told me from the start," he chided, "How did you think all of us would feel when you sprung this information on us? When would you have told us?" Ishira sighed when Rhaplanca was noticeably shaken, "I'm not mad," he assured in a soft voice, "I just... don't want to see you go," he whispered, "I am more worried than anything. Especially about what the man told me," he shuffled in his chair uncomfortably, "I think he might know you. He said something about coming back for you after... after," Ishira tried to recall the conversation but it was hard to remember when he had been on the edge of delirium, "I can't remember what he was talking about," he sighed with defeat. "I-I think I know who he might be," Rhaplanca's voice shook, "If so, he was Rhemi's vanguard," She could divulge that much, "But why would he come back now?"
"Rhemi's vanguard?" this was more unnerving information to Ishira, "We'll figure out his purpose later," he shook his head, "I just want to know one thing. Rhaplanca, what do you want to do? Do you want to go to the Chronicle of Orgel or do you want to find another way?" Rhaplanca finally met his eyes, "What I want?" she was baffled. As if she had a choice? "This isn't about what I want. This is about preserving the lives of thousands.""There must be another way," he growled, "I don't think this is what you want-" "Of course I don't want to be alone!" her demeanor slipped, maybe it was her exhaustion, maybe it was any chance that the man could be Maoh, maybe it was her responsibility to her duty or a combination of all three, "Do you realize I have no choice? The life-giver powers the tower to keep the land afloat. There is no other way," she shook with trapped anger before breaking down.
 "You don't understand. This is all my fault. Rhemi was never supposed to be the life-giver," she confessed, "I was the better candidate, but I couldn't cope with being alone and Rhemi volunteered to take my place. If I wasn't such a pathetic child then, Fa Ciel wouldn't be experiencing these tremors and the virus wouldn't have gotten into the tower!"Ishira was shocked from Rhaplanca's reaction. He kept quiet and let her vent, feeling foolish and insensitive once Rhaplanca began to cry, "I am sorry, I was out of line," he got up to sit beside her. He let her weep for a moment and then put his arm around her and pulled her close, "I just don't want you to have to do anything you don't want to," he sighed, "It's late, we both need sleep. We'll talk about our next move tomorrow," he offered. "I'm just so tired," she mumbled and dozed off on Ishira's shoulder, overtaken by exhaustion.Ishira frowned and carefully eased out from under her lean and tucked her in. He retreated to his own bed after tugging off his shirt and was out once his head touched the pillow.

Ina "So you don't know." Ina said with a cold glare. "I guess you weren't of any use as I thought." She turn around and heard what the human had to say. "What is it that you want to ask human." She pause for a bit to look at the clear night sky. "It better not be about my eye. I don't have nothing to share with someone I just met..." Ina walk towards the woods where there were blood all around. "Unless you think you could beat me." She smirk at the human, taking both blades out. Blitz then rush towards Ina, encircling her.

Nereus Nereus was in a bit of a shock when he saw Ina walking towards the woods and drawing out her swords. He replied. "Do we really have to fight for just one question, it may have to do with your eye but it's not what happen but who have done it." He walk close to the Teru until he was at a reasonable distance, just in case she would attack. I guess I have to fight since what I told her was in a form of a question, but I don't want to fight an ally, unless she doesn't consider herself one. "If you want to know the question, it is why join the group unless you know one of them?"

Ina When Ina heard the first part of what he said, she rush towards him with one sword on her hand and the other on the ground. She didn't hear the actual question, for she assume that what he said was the question. She swung her blade three times as she generate lightning magic in her hand, just in case the human evaded her attacks.

Nereus Nereus barely saw the strike of her blades as he manage to evade two out of three, he saw the lightning in her hands and thought it would be a good idea to test out his own customized blade. Nereus jump back and as he did he push his mask deep and took out his blade during the jump. He pivoted with the opposite foot that he use to jump in an attempt to do a vertical slash. What ran on his mind was why did she just use one of the two blades and what is the reason for Blitz encircling that blade.

Ina Ina smirk as her last strike got him. He has decent speed to evade two out of three, but I'm just getting started. She notice that the boy took a step back and use the broad side of her sword to block the attack. Ina then unleash her lightning magic and swung the sword horizontal, hitting the sphere which exploded everywhere which a sonic pitch follow. While swinging her sword, she lit her finger tip with lightning magic ready for the next attack.

Nereus Seeing that the teru block his attack, Nereus use the broad side of the sword to push himself away from her. He notice the lighting going straight for him, so Nereus stab his sword towards but it explode and he fell to the ground. Wincing from the pithch, he look to where the sword was and a tiny spark on his blade, Nereus smile as he roll to the left and pick it up. It seems to work for now, but how much can it take. He took out the vial from his sword and pull an ionization liquid from his coat. He then rush towards Ina, with the ionization liquid in his hand, trying to conceal it as mush as possible. Nereus did a couple of slashes with his sword at the Teru, waiting to see what she would do next.

Ina Content that the lighting sphere work she stood a stance to see what the human would do next. She quickly glance at his blade and notice a spark, which Ina took note of it. She also saw that the human pull something out of his coat and clench it in a fist while running and slashing aimlessly.Ina just step back evading all his attacks while her blade rest on her shoulder. Once Ina familiarize the slash pattern she intercepts with her blade, and lunge her lit finger tips towards the human throat with great speed.

Nereus Nereus was anticipating that Ina would block his attack, but fail to realize that it was to get him off guard. He endure the pain from the attack as he took this moment to release the ionization liquid at her face, which he then barely manage lift his sword up, not worrying about getting Ina or not. "W-what..did...y-you do..." Nereus manage to say as he began to fall on his knees from the attack.

Ina Ina quickly let go and went back to where her other sword was on the ground. Her face became a bit numb but shook it off. "I did not expected for you to use dirty tricks like that, but it doesn't matter. That is what makes things a hell of a lot better than what it was before." Ina walk towards the human, as she lifted her sword and waited for the paralyzes to take affect. "Since you won't be able to move I guess I might tell you..." She began to chuckle as she continue to speak. "but that would show me showing you mercy." Ina then swung her sword down with full force.

Nereus His mask began to glow a low vivid yellow as he knelt there waiting for her response. Nereus slowly look up as he heard Ina that she won't give an answer to what he has done. He roll to side and her blade barely got his wrist and it would have been chop off if it wasn't for his armor glove. He wince in pain as he manage to say in defeat. "F-fine, I...won't ask...y-you." Nereus then got an ionization liquid and smash it on his wrist to numb it out.

Ina Ina coldly look at the human who desperately froze his arm and beg for mercy. Ina bent down and said. "What happen to your pride? Shouldn't you fight for what you want, or was it that it was unattainable. You humans sicken me to the core and I should strike you down where you stand but for now, I will say this only once. Speak to anyone what happen tonight and that will be your last day on this miserable world in which we stand." Ina forcefully remove Nereus mask and with her thumb still lit, she mercifully tap his temple real quick to induce the paralyzes. She then pick up her sword and with the other hand made a gesture in which the blade that was on the ground rose up and travel towards her. Ina sheath them both and jump on the tree tops to get the little rest that she could possibly get for it was close to being morning. Blitz follow the Teru as it worriedly look at Nereus.

Nereus The lack of sleep and what happen made Nereus barely get the grasp of what Ina said. What he did hear was bits of what she was going to do. Nereus close his eyes as she approach him and realize that she just remove his mask, but what for and it was then that he felt a light tap on his head and then everything began to blur, which all he could manage to see was a figure jumping up. I was a fool think that I had a chance with a Teru, the only good outcome is that the blade manage to w... That was all he had to think, for his body remain motionless.
