Dylon looked around the area, brows knit together as he pondered options. "Um.. I'm not sure. Anything we use for cover might end up hindering us if something sneaks up." What that something was, maybe coyotes, or wolves? Rabid bunny rabbits? He wasn't much of a camper. "Unless you want to climb a tree and sleep there." Dylon sure didn't want to.

He gave Jerry a weary glance, feeling badly to give Jerry first watch. "Are you sure?" He asked to make certain, the rough ground of the clearing looking pretty damn comfy after their little adventure.

"Up a tree might not be a bad idea..." Jerry mused, but then looked wary at the idea of climbing in general. "I'm not sure we should just... be out in the open. But I'm also not sure about the woods. I'm not sure about the whole trip in general." He sighed in exasperation. "How about... just... at the tree line? If I see anything, we can hide behind the trees. And there might be brush. I guess a fire is out of the question." He wasn't sure how to start one without a lighter anyway. "I hate camping."

"Tree huh..." Dylon stared into the distance. He was more worried about what was in the woods than what could see them in a clearing. Like hovering your foot in front of the gap between your bed and the floor. The dark unknown.

"Whatever you feel is best, Jerry. You'd know better than I would."

At that, Jerry snorted and laughed outright. "I really... have no idea. I was never in boyscouts. I'd feel better with something behind my back, at least. C'mon, we won't go IN. Just... quietly at the edge where we'll stand out less." That seemed like a good plan to him, anyway. The makeshift bandage was helping his foot, at least, and he tied the laces of his boot together to sling it over his arm. :Maybe I can find a walking stick while you take the edge off. "

"That sounds like a plan to me, Camper Jer." He laughed along, getting up only so they could find their tree.

Dylon sat once again in front of a big tree, slumping his back against the rough surface with a groan. "Okay.. short nap.. wake me when you want to sleep, okay?"

"Or if I need backup," Jerry grinned, letting the trainee settle in before shrugging off his coat to lay it out on the underbrush to dry. He would have liked a fire, but while it might have helped the others spot them if they were looking, it could also draw unwanted attention.

For now, he drank in the moonlight.

"Sleep well. I'll wake you in a few hours."

As he settled down as well to rest for a bit, he wished he had snagged at least one bottle of that damn Ale. it would have made the whole situation sit a lot better with him.

"Or that." He laughed softly, grimacing as he realized he'd be sleeping in damp clothes. The walk had at least evolved them to this level from sopping wet. The trainee laid himself down on his side, the whole leaning against a tree thing not at all plausible or comfortable.

"Mm.." He responded, trying his best to let himself sleep, or at least rest his eyes.

A relief washed over Matt as Sasha and Wash had returned, now they could figure what to do next without the thought of disobeying orders. There was no doubt that the only noise he had heard from the passage way was just the sound of the can hitting the ground and rolling along and into the cavern where they had fallen. There was however a lack of the expected can smacking one of them in the foot, or even possibly landing on the head of any of them. Instead it was the sickening silence.

"Well... we are doing alright at the moment but we haven't heard from Jerry or Dylon. I don't know if they are still even down there or...." He didn't bother finishing the rest he was sure Sasha could fill in the blanks. Either they had left or something had gotten to them. There was a lack of screaming if they had been attacked by something so there was still hope of them finding their own way out.

"You haven't heard from them?"

Sasha froze before she moved to kneel before the cupboard, peering into the depths in order to see ... well, anything.

"Jerry? Dylon?"

From the opening, the soft, burred song of a vinyl record player began, echoing through passage.

Sasha listened to the song quietly, her lips moving as she mentally translated the words. As the song went on, she straightened and turned to face Evan, Matt and Wash. Her skin felt clammy and cool, and she stared into Wash's eyes as she spoke, shaking her head.

"No. No, no."

Her attention went to Matt.

"How long has it been since you heard from them? Did you hear anything else?"

Sasha knelt again and peered into the passage.

"We've got a ladder. I can go down there."

She straightened. Her stomach was roiling.

"Or we can make camp for the night elsewhere and come back in the morning."

Wash bit his lip. The idea of her going down there in the dark, armed with nothing more than that little penlight...

"Sasha, you're th' only one who can fit down there, an' -"

He shook his head. "I dunno know if it's a good idea for us to split up any more than we already have."

Jerry was a full hunter, right? He'd keep Dylon safe.

Sasha was quiet for moment, her eyes narrowing slightly before she gave a curt nod.

"Alright. You're right." She cleared her throat. "Evan mentioned staying out in the open, higher ground. There isn't really any high ground around here, and I want to stay as far away from the house as possible. I would suggest the chapel, but.. you saw how clean it was. It wasn't like that before."

Sasha nibbled on her lower lip before glancing towards Evan and Matt, pausing to squeeze Wash's upper arm before she moved towards the front door.

"Let's find a place to stay."

"They have been pretty silent... well since you and Wash left," Matt replied looking at the passageway. They were some noise like chatter as Sasha and Wash had left, but that had faded away. He had unfortunately assumed that maybe they had just started talking to themselves? It was wrong, probably wrong of him to assume. To assume was to make an a** of himself and Matt had done so.

"No..." Matt squeaked out a reply as Sasha made the comment of following after Jerry and Dylon. Wash was right, she would be the only one able to fit and there was no reason to risk another person.

Staying outside, or staying in the creepy serial killer like cottage with music that started to drift out of the passageway. Outside was looking only marginally better in his nightmares as he debated them both in his head. Matt wasn't really a camper kid, he was more of the kid who carried the first aid kit and stood close to the kids who were a little more adventurous than he was. Instead of saying anything he just picked up his things and waited for Sasha to lead the way.

"We should try to find a clearing in those woods," Evan suggested, almost reluctantly. He had been against coming into the cabin in the first place, but now they had lost teammates and leaving them--if they were even still down there--felt kind of wrong. There was nothing else they could do, though; splitting up further was the worst of all of the possible options.

Evan turned back towards the kitchen, opening the cabinets and peering at the contents before grabbing a few of the tin cans. "We should try to keep from building a fire, too," he continued. "We don't want to draw attention to ourselves."
