The dark leopardess blinked, waching Keone point out the stars with slight confusion, blinking with unfocused eyes. What did he mean? It took a while to realize he was 'connecting' them to form an image. She followed the lines he formed, and them able to make heads or tails of what h meant by finding form.
"Yeah.. "
She murmured, before looking around through the stars.
"Look over there, " She said, pointing a paw over to a group of stars. "There looks like a mouse, see? The ears, the head and the tail? I can't find the paws though. "
She traces the stars with an amused flick of her tail. It seemed like a mouse, that was with its paws hidden under its fur, tail close to creating an 's' figure.

The leopard tilted his head, green eyes blinking as he tried to make out the shape tha Karama had indicated. It was much harder to see what someone else had than it was to see the shapes yourself, but it wasn't long before he figured out what she was looking at. A small smile on his maw, Keone nodded.
"Yeah, it does, or a bunny with a really long tail."
He laughed quietly to himself at the thought of a rabbit with a long tail. Then he fell silent, his flicking tail freezing as a thought struck him.
"I hope there's no snakes watching it."

"And why would they do that? "
She asked amusedly, she'd never really looked at stars, why would snakes? She blinked at the though, before shaking it off. Snakes didn't really matter unless they were poisonous, and the ones down at the lake didn't usually come this high, did they? Her tail swishied again under the branch, tip twiching with lack of anything else to do.
"Can you see anything else? "

Keone's tail flicked as he sat silently for a moment, a bit confused by the question. Wasn't it obvious why a snake would be interested in a rather large rodent?
"So they could eat it..."
The small leopard shivered, his fur ruffling a bit as his posture lowered, laying on the branch with his forepaws over the edge. Green eyes looking skyward again, his gaze lost in the sea of night. It was beautiful, captivating, and though the stars had always been magnifiscent it seemed tonight they were moreso. Perhaps it was because tonight he was able to share them, because he was with someone he cared for.
"Mmhmm, there are lots of shapes. See over there, that looks like a fish, and that looks like a deer, and that one looks like a leopard, and that one over there looks kinda like a wildebeast."
He pointed out several different shapes that he had seen in the patters of the stars, some shapes that were familar, and some that he had no name for. Truth was he could have never named them all, the stars were infinite and the possibilities endless.

"Perhaps they've tried to get it so much, that they gave up. "
She suggested amusedly, thinking that snakes weren't about to try going up to the stars to get a rodent, they'd probably only be able to get it bit by bit anyways, it was a big connect the dots map, they could even loose wherever the mouse was.
"I can see giraffe over there, and that bunch reminds me of a lion.. "
She pointed out the two shapes, before looking back to Keone. "Did you ever see a lion? They look sorta like us, only they have puffy tailtips, and are bigger. The males have a puffy mane, too. "

Keone tilted his head, tail flicking curiously beneath the branch. He could see the giraffe, but the lion was a bit harder to pick out. It wasn't that he hadn't seen one before, he'd just never known what to call them.
"Lion? Ooooh, the poofy cats. I've seen them pass through the jungle sometimes, but I haven't ever talked to one."
He sat quietly, a thoughtful expression in his green eyes as he looked toward the sky. Poofy stars, that was an amusing thought. He wondered what it would be like to touch a star, would they be poofy like little tufts of furr? or would they be hard like rocks? Or maybe something else...?
"That one," he pointed, "looks kinda like you."

"I can show you one if you want, I was looking for him when I met you. " She said with a small yawn, then adding. "Probably got lost, cubs have such an odd sense of direction. " She layed down on the branch, front paws hanging from the edge while the hind ones urled under her, tail swishing.
She looked at where he indicated, taking a while to understand wich stars he meant. "Yeah. And over there looks like you, because you got a poofy head, " She said, sitting up to ruffle his 'bangs' with a paw to emphatise her point.
"But you're not half as puffy as those lions when they grow up. "

The small leopard's tail flicked, his ears falling in slight confusion. A lion? But he had thought...that didn't make sense.
"But...I thought you said lions were bad?"
There was far more confusion in his voice than fear. He thought Karama didn't like lions. Then why was she looking for one? He titled his head curiously, trying to make sense of it.
But his questions were soon forgotten, the quizical look on his maw replaced by a smile at her touch, his green eyes looking from the stars to the dark leopardess at his side. Shifting slightly, he lowered his head to gently nuzzle against her neck, a faint purr in his chest.
"Yeah, but your stars are prettier."

"Tatu is rather funny for a lion, he acts a bit leopard-like. "
She said with amusement, flicking her tail. "He can actually climb trees, " Tatu was an odd lion sense she'd seen him climb that tree, afterall.
She attempts to find more shapes in the stars, just to turn view away from them to look at the white male, purring lightly in reaction to his nuzzle, tail swishing. She nuzzles back in return, ears flicking at what he said.
"Yours are brighter. "
Karama stated with a purr, then layed down on the branch again.

"A lion leopard? That sounds interesting."
But Keone wasn't really thinking about the unusual lion, or anything else for that matter. He had settled on the branch, curling against the leopardess with his chin resting against her shoulder, a wide yawn parting his maw. Looking toward the stars once more, green eyes barely focused on the points of light.
"Maybe, but I still like yours better."

"Mhm, "
She murmured, yawning and resting her head on her paws after getting them on the branch, rather than hanging over its edge. "I think I'm going to sleep. " She whispered, but not giving any signs that she'd move. Karama had slept on branches more than she'd found nice, cozy little caves or hollows to sleep in, and she had already grown used to how.. high this branch was.
"Wanna stay here of find another place? "
Of course, she didn't know the same about Keone.

Keone shifted, making himself more comfortable against the leopardess, his head and one paw resting against her shoulder, his tail curled around them both.
"Mmm...I'm fine here if you are."
His ears lowered against his head, relaxing in the peaceful silence of the night, eyes falling closed, a contented purr in his chest. It was beautiful up here, calm, cool, and what better way to spend the night than under the stars with the one you cared for.
His tail flicked a bit at that thought. It seemed they had only just met, but already he felt close to the dark leopardess and suddenly he couldn't remember what it had been like before she was there. He didn't think that was a bad thing, and purring happily, he drifted off to sleep.

The dark female smiled looking at her frend as he fell asleep, licking his forehead before curling up to sleep herself, tail curled like his own.
Karama took one more glance up to the stars, they were so different if you ever looked at them, and she found herself wondering if she ever really would have tried finding anything in them. "Probably not, " She mumbled toherself, before looking back to Keone, who was already sleep.
"Goonight, Keone. "
And soon she was also asleep.
