Lillian twirled her hair as she listened to Adrian speaking. She did not breathe a word until she was certain that Adrian was finished. "I can't imagine that you'd expect that the ladder would snap off like it did. I don't think that anyone would; unless it was someone that knew that the ladder was faulty." she said as she turned to her door, hearing something bumping against it, which she figured was Roxy trying to get back in through the 'too small' doggy door again. She rolled her eyes as she did catch a glimpse of the small doggy door moving some and Roxy's brown nose poking through; before she turned to Adrian and just happened to notice the tattoo on his forearm. Leaning down to examine the tattoo she spoke up, commenting on the tattoo. "That's really cool looking."{{ooc:}}

Adrian shrugged one shoulder. "I've had it for as long as I remember... until soon after the accident that left me in the forest... when I found it was more than simply ink," he said as he shifted his arm as the tattoo rippled momentarily with amber and indigo light. A very faint smile flashed over his face as he sensed the displeasure from being referred to as 'it' from Kuranisō.

Lillian was still examining the tattoo as she listened to Adrian speaking. She had breifly turned to her bed and pulled up a picture of a tattoo that she wanted before again turning to Adrian to show him the picture. "My dad would kill me if I'd ever get something like that. I'm not even allowed to get this butterfly tattoo on my shoulder I wanted to get for my eighteenth birthday." she said while holding her laptop so that Adrian could see the tattoo; just before she noticed that the tattoo on Adrian's arm rippled and shimmered with light and she pulled back, slightly freaked out. "How...? What just happened?!" she asked, nearly dropping her laptop at the sight.{{ooc:}}

Adrian tilted his head, shifting his arm. "Like I said, it's more than just ink... it's actually sentient... also she kinda looks at me like a little brother, though she's never come out of the tattoo, so I don't know what she really looks like," he said wryly. He inhaled sharply as he shifted, his hand dropping to his right thigh, unaware that a birthmark a couple of shades darker than his own skin had awoken to life on his hip.

Lillian, still a bit flustered, listened to Adrian and nodding at him. "Wait... the tattoo... It's a she? You mean you have, like, a living being inside a tattoo on your arm...?" she asked, trying to grasp the concept. She noticed that Adrian had taken a sharp breath and she wondered what was wrong. "Is something the matter?" she asked curiously, concern lacing her tone. She heard more scuffling at her door and saw Roxy shoving her thick, red furred body through the doggy door. "Roxy... Why...??? Why can't I ever have a moment without you interrupting me???" she sighed as she returned her attention to Adrian. Roxy gave a small bark before jumping up and over the bed and then pressing her body against Adrian's legs in greeting.{{ooc:}}

Adrian shrugged. "As far as I know, she's a spirit that was sent by my birth mother, whom Kuranisō claimed had been killed by someone named Sergey... though she doesn't talk about her often," he said, unconsciously shifting his fingers on his upper thigh over the birthmark. "As to whatever it was... I don't know," he said wryly, referring to her other question before Roxy nudged against him. "If I didn't know better, I would say she'd just as curious about me as you are," he said with amusement. He cocked his head slightly, noticing another shadow before a soft knock followed as he heard a feminine voice, swiftly realizing it was Lillian's mother.

Lillian listened to Adrian's every word and she felt terrible that his mother had been killed. She said nothing on the matter, though she gave him a look of compassion and sympathy before looking at Roxy, who was now sitting at Adrian's feet and begging for attention. "I suppose she is, since she was always a curios little thing when she was a puppy. Also, she was always interested in or curious about I was." she said, her voice tapering off as she heard a knocking at the door and heard her mother's voice. "I'll be right back..." she sighed as she went to her door and opened it. "Mom... I'm busy talking to Adrian... And I swear, if daddy thinks anything is happening you can tell him that it's not... I am old enough to have guy friends... and I know where to draw the line. Thank you very much..." she said, in a slightly agressive tone, as she shut the door in her mother's face, just having a gut feeling that her mother was only going to check up on the two of them for her father. She made her way back to her bed and then flopped down, face first into her pillows before rolling onto her back. "My dad, I can imagine, was thinking that you'd try something... He doesn't trust any boys around me... I'm not a little girl and he should know that... I can take care of myself..." she said before she smashed a pillow on top of her face, screaming softly into it.{{ooc:}}

Adrian chuckled when Lillian spoke, though he wasn't surprised when she spoke to her mother with a bit of annoyance, mildly amused. "Overprotective pain in the a**, to put it lightly," he sighed as he shifted, rubbing Roxy behind the ears. "Honestly, sometimes people are lucky they don't see what dwells alongside average humans... though I wonder if that vampire was sent by someone who knew who I'm related to.... or was it dumb luck that my godmother was hunting that thing?" he said softly, glancing out the window.

Lillian had finished screaming into her pillow and had sat up on her bed, her legs hanging over the side. "You said it... My dad is way too protective of me... If anyone from school even comes over to ask me to hang out with them daddy comes out at them with his shotgun... He's peppered peoples' tailgates before too... I swear he overreacts about every little thing..." she gave in reply to Adrian. "Who knows... But if someone was sending that thing after you... That means they must want you dead or something...?" she added before mumbling out a list of all the things that she had heard where supposed to ward of things like vampires, werewolves and the like. Although she had no clue if any of the legends were true enough to be of any use.{{ooc:}}

Adrian shrugged. "I know once a vampire loses their soul, they become highly vulnerable to silver; as to garlic... as far as I know, that's just a myth. I don't know much about anything else," he said with a slight sigh. He didn't know if the myths and legends were remotely true or not nor how much of them were correct when it came to weaknesses.

Lillian glaced over at Adrian as she heard him speaking and tilted her head. "So, you're saying that vampires without souls are kind of like werewolves, or at least how they're depicted in legends? With the silver I mean?" she said as she patted her bed, coaxing Roxy to come next to her. Although the husky was content getting attention from Adrian right then and was not moving.{{ooc:}}

Adrian tilted his head slightly. "To some extent, yeah... especially if it's blessed by a priest with strong faith... though frankly I'm not sure how I knew it before I encountered the first one... or how I know that language," he said quietly. He shifted, not noticing that the colors of his hair seemed to shift as if alive. "From what I've managed to find, it's an old form of Romanian, yet I know it instinctively," he said quietly; he knew for absolutely certain that he was not from Europe. In fact, he had never gone further than roughly a forty mile radius from where he was at that moment, or more precisely, his cavern.

Lillian was a bit shocked that her dog had not moved and rathered stay over by Adrian, though she knew that Roxy liked new people and Adrian was in fact new to her. She listened to Adrian, taking in everything, just in case there was anything that he might say that she may consider useful. Although, she doubted that if there would be any encounter between her and some sort of vampire, undead or something otherworldly, that she'd be able to do much, if anything at all. "Well hopefully we don't run into anything else or have anything run into us... Though now that I've said that I've probably jinxed myself... And that's weird, yet kind of cool that you know a language that you've probably never heard in your life, seeing that it's one that's so old." she said as she tinkered around with her laptop. She offered to let Adrian use it, though she wasn't sure if he would or not.{{ooc:}}

Adrian shrugged. "If the one that got killed outside didn't tell anyone else where he was, which I think is likely, then that won't be a problem, unless he was sent to test the defenses... do you know if your father has any new clients recently, Külańa?" he said thoughtfully, unconsciously nicknaming her 'wave's daughter' for her passion with swimming.

Lillian listened to Adrian and she thought of whether or not her father had any new clients or not. She flicked her eyes over to Adrian a bit confused at the nickname that he had used, but she did not think much of it; she was too busy trying to recall if her father had gotten any new clients recently. "You know... I think that he may have a new client or two, though I would get into trouble if he found out that I overheard one of his talks on the phone... He doesn't like me knowing things about his work... When I was little that was a whole different story, but now, now I just get yelled at for asking him how work is and that sort of thing... He says that's mother's place to ask things like that..." she said, returning to tinkering with her laptop.{{ooc:}}
