Shanahan stepped away from the apron after The King finally stood; the time for recovery was over. He didn't bring himself into his brawling stance, nor did he charge at Kelly. He simply lifted a hand and motioned for 2.0 to "bring it on." A cold sneer managed to etch across his lips as he did, his anger overcoming the pain that tormented his every muscle.

2.0 wiped his sweat off his brow and sucked in a breath in the same way one might before plunging into extremely cold water. "Okay let's do this." He muttered as he staggered towards Matt near the apron of the ring and nearly fell right into him, but managed to stay on his feet long enough to try to drive Matt back into the apron of the ring with his shoulder.

This time, Matt was ready for any surprises; King bumbling over himself included. Just as he came in close, Shanahan would attempt to side-step 2.0 and grab his head in a single motion, aiming to assist him by driving the man's skull straight into the apron!

King crashed into the apron and briefly thought about getting under the ring again, but then the thought was put down by the pain in his head. Ow.

The King was down, Shanahan had momentum finally going his way once more, and there was no time to waste. With a single hand, Matt attempted to grab King by his shaggy locks and drag him up to his feet. If successful, he'd aim to drag the man around the corner of the ring before whipping him down towards the opposite barricades!

2.0 found himself travelling at a faster than normal speed as he connected with the barricades, turning to hit them with his back to soften the blow. He grimaced in pain at Matt's mercy.

Instead of charging after the man and chancing moving the fight back into the fans, Matt simply stalked forward towards his opponent. As he came in close quarters, he aimed to do what King denied him before; he lifted balled right fist and attempted to send a haymaker down into 2.0's skull.

2.0 groaned as he watched the sun be eclipsed by Matt's fist coming down on him. He was hit, hard, in the face, almost hard enough to knock lose a tooth. He spit on the mat and looked up at Shanahan. "Give me another."

What The King asks for, The King receives. Without a moment's pass, Matt's left fist fired off and attempted to smash right into 2.0's face!

2.0 could hear ringing in his ears after that particular punch, as he slumped back against the barricade. He shook his head, sweat dribbling from his hair and bangs, before he spat again on the mat. "PUNCH ME AGAIN YOU ENORMOUS PIECE OF TRASH!" 2.0 shouted right in his opponent's face, his own features red with anger.

Matt's bloodshot eyes were wide with rage and disbelief. Was King insane?
Before King could even take a breath after his statement, Matt was readying his next punch. A right haymaker was coming in hard towards Kelly's face, with the left ready to fire off after it! He was going to shut King up one way or another!

King was hit once and twice, but on the second punch incoming, 2.0 turned in a complete 360 with the punch, using it's momentum to turn him about, turning around and facing Matt with a quick leaping clothesline, trying to bring the big man down.

To say that Matt was surprised that King was still standing after -four- mighty fists to the face would be an understatement. He was absolutely floored; there's no reason why this man should still be standing!
Matt's disbelief would turn out to be his downfall, as he the man whirled around and hit him with a clothesline, managing to knock The God of Punks onto his a**.

The fans erupted into a sea of cheers after the clothesline, one of King's patented counters for punches. It wasn't so much a counter, obviously, and 2.0 could hardly capitalize immediately for all the pain his face was now in, but when he did capitalize... oh boy.
2.0 thrashed for a little on the mat, building up some adrenaline, as he suddenly leapt to sidemount Matt and just started laying in fist after fist onto Shanahan's head!

The God of Punks was downed and still in a state of shock over the fact that King still had fight in him. Then again, he wasn't exactly sure how his own body was managing to keep up at this point. Such thoughts were quickly knocked away as King decided to hop onto him and begin drilling the fists down against his face. Doing the only thing he could do, Shanahan covered his bloodied features with his arms, hoping to deflect some of those blows.
