"I'm sh.. m'sayin you look pretty ******** happy to settle with anything that throws itself in your lap is what. You'd think for a guy who thinks so highly of himself would like... have a bit of pickiness. It's way too easy to dip your d**k in crazy here." He smirked toothily.

"You would say that though." Rep replied with a faint smirk. "Sometimes women like to feel special. Rather than they are just some desperate guys anything will do."

Rin sloooowly raised a brow at Melvin. Yep. He was up to something. She then began to look around the man at the others in effort to deduce what was going on.

Instead of letting Rep ruin his mood, Tuck kept himself busy.

Staring at Candace's legs.

Because damn.

"I'm no ********' crazy." Rep said irritably. Crazy as far as he was concerned was people who did irrational things, were insincere, hurt other people without rhyme or reason behind their actions. Everything he did had reason, a complex knot of motivations and intention behind it.

Melvin's questions made him narrow his eyes. "Melvin you are a nosy ********." He resented the implications of cleaning messes.

Jordan grimaced at Melvin's question. "I was getting stressed out talking about the Sahara," he said. "It wasn't exactly a happy fun experience, and there's lingering emotional trauma I'm still dealing with. I mentioned it, but I didn't really want to talk about it as much as I did. Talking about it brings up memories of the nightmares. I prefer to avoid that, even though there's times I can't. You didn't seem like you were going to drop it, so I left before I got any more upset." He eyed Melvin. "Afterwards, when I calmed down, I thought you might have done that on purpose."

His mouth twitched a little at the second question. "I prefer things clean," he said, "and it's often more efficient to do that myself instead of harassing others into cleaning. I don't mind it, so why shouldn't I? As for excuses, you should know that there's always more than one way to interpret a situation. Sometimes it's being the devil's advocate, but more often I believe what I'm saying. You could take that as a baseline assumption, unless it's a purely intellectual argument."

He gestured with his empty glass. "I don't know what you mean by getting something out of it, unless you mean some kind of sexual kink, in which case I can tell you that no, that's not it."

This was not only a way to get answers, but every dodge that Jordan made proved that the ring wasn't full-proof. It had loopholes, and there could be restrictions in given how much you said. It was possible that you could answer thruthfully, but with the bare minimum to meet the requirement for an answer.

The answer to the Sahara was one he pretty much already figured out, but having it admitted made him feel better, and even more when Jordan seemed aware at the possibility that Melvin intentionally pressed the topic to upset him.

He wasn't done with Jordan yet. If they made a deal, he wanted to get some use out of it.

Glancing at Rep, he looked back at Jordan. "I guess specifics work well on the ring. Are you perfectly comfortable having Rep threaten to kill hunters? Do you hate that he has injured and handicapped other hunters? Does it hurt and do you care that he would destroy Rin because he wants to keep her and doesn't want to give her up? What have you always wanted to say to those you love but haven't because it would hurt them?" He stopped, and crossed his hands over his chest.
