Eric yawned some. "Keep looking, I have a feeling the Blood Knight added something else in anyway." He said to his warlock companion. He had been using her orb of a belly as a giant pillow. It was soft and well, she wasn't doing anything with it. "I don't think she's as much of a saint as she led on earlier into the book"

"Yeah but look at the Blood Knight too. He isn't a bloodthirsty murderer any more either..." Roxanne countered, jumping to the back of the book where she hoped to find something extra. But her hopes were dashed as she found nothing and she returned to where they left off in the book.
"But I can see you are enjoying yourself..." She added, looking down at Eric where he had his head perched atop her huge belly.

"You being round all over is very comfy. I'm beginning to get comfortable with all the bellies around me lately." He rubbed her lower belly softly. Eric began to feel movement inside her womb, probably had to do with him disturbing them. "Well, that's a first for me. I guess you're not just entirely full of magic after all."

"Whatever I carry has been fairly mellow for the most part. I guess they just didn't like being used as a pillow or they mistook you as their father..." Roxanne stated with a smile as she enjoyed the belly rub.

Eric looked to Roxanne's face, who seemed to be enjoying this just as much as he has. Seeing as he was already doing this, he aim for wherever she could no longer reach herself. "I could be, after all, you said you couldn't wait to make mine."

"True but that depends on what we end up birthing. If I end up giving birth to an orc or an elemental, we can't really go around saying you're its father..." Roxanne replied with smile.
"But I really do wish to carry your children next. Our time together in the wagon only confirmed my feelings for you." She added, glancing towards camp to make sure nobody had overheard her confession.

"You, you do? But whatever happened to keeping your options open, you know, if I wasn't always around to scratch your particular itch?" Asked Eric, he didn't think what they had that night would go any deeper than their secretive friendship. "You're a beautiful woman, Roxanne. Never did I think you would really want to carry my children. You aren't exactly the happiest of the bunch when it came to their spontaneous pregnancy."

"I never said we would get married, just that you were next in line." Roxanne corrected. "There might be others in the future, there might not be. Besides you are one of few people, more specifically men, to tolerate a warlock this long, not to mention return ones affections..."
"And neither were you when we first met. Always the lance made me do it, grumble this, grumble that... " She added, wincing slightly as a particularly strong kick connected with her innards. It was as if the creature within was demanding Eric's attention at a different portion of Roxanne's belly, which she guided him too.

Eric nodded his head, getting the message about where they stood. After being guided to the rise of her belly, he was greeted by a very strong kick from within. Had he not seen this from Mina on a daily basis, he'd be spooked.
"Quite a strong kick on that one, I hope you are alright." He said as he rubbed her belly protectively to keep the creature calmed. Since when was he on belly duty?
"But yes, I get what you're saying. I tolerated you for the sake of easing our travels, I still have a job to do."

After checking back with the temple, Lloyd requested a couple of days to make a trip to a sick loved one. Of course, this was a blatant lie. He needed to see Scarlett again for an update about his curse.

Lilith of course saw through this lie of Lloyd's but helped the Blood Knight back up his request by offering to go with him as "Troy" was not advanced enough in his studies to complete any major healing.
"So who are we going to see?" Lilith asked once the pair was mounted on their horses and headed out of town once again.

"This wasn't the job I had in mind." He muttered as he lifted her robes to run his fingers over her bare body. "But, I'm oddly okay with this..."

"I have to see my friend, the one looking for an answer to my ailments. Her name's Scarlett. I don't think I have mentioned that before, along with her being an alchemist." Explained Lloyd to Lilith. They continued to right past town into another, where most of the misfits of society dwelled.
"She's not far from here. We could even return by tomorrow if you'd like. But of course, my cousin will need some time for me to be there for her in her current condition."

"You might have mentioned her before but not by name..." Lilith replied, her warhorse hanging back alongside Lloyd's horse waiting for it to guide it in the right direction. "But I'm curious as to what good an alchemist is to a Blood Knight..."
"And no, I'm fine taking as long as you need." She added.

It was not before long they rode up to a fairly sizable home. Despite what it looked like, it was cluttered with equipment and notes on the inside. Lloyd began to knock on the door.
"I hope she's home, if I averaged the months right, she shouldn't be going anywhere far..."

"I thought you didn't have any living family?" Lilith asked, cocking an eyebrow at Lloyd as he mentioned being related to this Scarlett.
"Impressive little home..." She added looking around the property as she dismounting from her horse and led both of them to a nearby water trough. "What do you mean she shouldn't be going anyway? Do you keep her that busy with research?..."
Lilith's other questions died in her mouth as Scarlett answered the door.
"Ooooooh..."

"Yeah, I think you got it. Divine, this is Scarlett. Red, this is Lilith." He said, using the little names he had for them. He went walked over to Scarlett and gave her a warm hug and a kiss on the cheek.
"Yeesh, what have you been doing? You sure swelled up in a hurry since I saw you two months ago. Don't tell me this is you new little experiment." He teased her, it was all in good fun though. Scarlett could take it, after all the girl raised herself, and him of course. Without a name, she was given Scarlett for the color of her hair.
