That seemed to do it! While he was still there, Before gave another slash, this time at the shadowling's legs. He felt the satisfying sensation of spikes slicing shadowling and he surreptitiously slid out of the way with a hearty yell:

Ami glanced over at Melvin gratefully, giving him nothing but a nod- she was too tired for anything else. At least she didn't feel like she was going to die at any moment. Now she only felt like she was going to collapse at any moment. There was a difference.
She leaned slightly on Otto, feeling her knees and arm come back to her. Every ounce of adrenaline was gone, and she severely need a leaning post. "Who with?" she muttered, putting a weak hand up to comb some of the hair out of his face. "You need to get this cut soon," she said unhappily.
Before's call got her to pinch the bridge of her nose. Loud noises, no thank you. At least the heartless was dissipating. All was quiet. "Ah- have you seen Lex? I told him to find you ..." She really hoped he hadn't gone and found himself another shadow clone.

It was time to run away from the falling creature. No slow mo walk away from explosions here with sunglasses on.
"GET THE HELL OUT OF DODGE!" the boxer roared as he went to duck and cover in the nearest spot to hide in.

Otto was a good boy and stayed sturdy for Ami to lean on. His icy gaze narrowed at the loud announcement from Before, carefully placing a hand on Ami's shoulder and guiding her to the side at his own pace. No rushing this one.
"A cut?" Otto mused in a flat tone. "Yeah.. guess its gettin' kinda shaggy." He kept having to blow his bangs back while working, after all. Kind of a hassle. His hair grew so slowly it just never registered he needed it cleaned up.
"Yeah, Lex was the one that patched me up." Otto patted the bandages littering his midriff.
Lex had not encountered another shadow clone, thank you very much Ami. He'd gone to hunt for more bandages, and then a Life tech had laughed at him when he asked. Said Lifetech, had he not held seniority, would have gotten a pistol butt to the nose instead of the pleasant smile the trainee gave him after being handed a fresh box. Sometimes you just had to take the paragon route.
When he'd made it back to the group of Hunters, the colossal shadow had already been taken down. "...Good work, guys." He muttered, feeling even more useless than ever. First his girlfriend had to save him from a doppelganger, then he'd been laughed at in the face, and now he wasn't even of any help in battle. What a waste.
Finding Gale rather quickly, the Lifer attempted to get bandaging from the box, but ended up with jumping plastic snakes all over himself. "Gah! Sorry, stupid lab techs..." He muttered, fussing to get the box open so he could actually do something of value.

Ami welcomed Otto's help as she hobbled out of the way. She hissed the entire way, with the occassionally, "Ahhh ********, s**t hurts," Ami at her knee. Walking on a blood knee was not so fun, especially since the bandages had long since snapped and fallen off.
"I think I might have to sit out for a bit if they come back, ********>" A look up to his hair and Ami said, "I can cut it for you if you'd like. Ahhh not now. I used to cut my own and-" She caught herself. "A friend's in college." A slim smile crossed her face. Good on Lex, patching up her tsundere sibling a friend.

"Geez, y'alright?" Otto asked, helping her sit down if need be. His mood was relatively evened out for now, despite the constant swarms of battles.
"Sure, you can cut it I guess... just don't.. butcher it." Despite the fact he'd agreed to a punishment game that tampered with his hair, and despite the fact his hairstyle was on par with a bird's nest, Otto really did feel protective of the mop of hair. Maybe Ami could save it somehow. He trusted her enough to try.
Seeing a Mist fall practically on his face, Lex was there with a fresh bandage, cradling his head in one arm and wrapping the man's forehead with the other. It was a quick job, a little messy, but it would have to do for now. You never knew just when another massive shadowy creature would pop out.

Ami rolled her eyes. "I'm fine," she asserted. "It's just because its on my knee- it's hard to run." It was true to. The wound on her arm wasn't bothering her nearly as much.
"What do you think I'm going to do- give you a buzzcut?" Ami sighed and shrugged herself off Otto, trying to steady herself a bit more. "I think I'm okay. But would you like a mohawk or a mullet~" she teased.

Turning to the blue haired Hunter by the brunette, Lex gave him a quick glance over. He really didn't seem too banged up... "If I have any spares, I'll come find you." He nodded, giving his shoulder a quick tap. "Just stay put, okay?"

Before wasn't out. Not completely. He was conscious of things. He just found it was difficult to move. Even after a ruggedly attractive man with a pistol applied bandages to him, the Mist Hunter was still pretty banged up. "Hey, thanks," he smiled weakly up at Lex. Then turned over to Jake, "Dude, why didn't you even try to catch me? I'm not that heavy, am I?" DDDDD8 he sounded more like a kicked puppy than an angry one.
