It took Urza a couple tries, but after a few moments she had her game back to the way it was before she sneezed all over it. It was weird, Urza didn't usually enjoy doing mental training. She liked being active, and it had always seemed kind of silly to just sit around looking at paper or solving problems that didn't seem to have any relation to anything, but here she was having a pretty good time just relaxing in the sun and doing mental math. Urza would have to be careful or she might start enjoying this more than training her body.

Urza stretch out beneath he tree as she continued working on her puzzle. Time seemed to be passing quickly around her. Even the cloud seemed to be moving in fast forward. Urza closed her eyes for a brief moment and was brought back to her childhood in the West. The sun beating down on her face she she worked outside, carrying bricks back and forth from the carpenters home to the various construction sites around The Cathedral. Looking back on it it seemed like such a physical task, but really it was very mentally stimulating. All of the math and logic that goes in to constructing a building. Urza couldn't even picture the amount of time it took to calculate all of the details needed to make sure the building didn't just collapse in on itself.

Urza pictured the magnificent churches, the stain glass windows that towered from floor to ceiling, the vastness and openness of the buildings. All she could picture was the math at it would take to try and build something like that. Numbers and patterns flashed around in Urza's head, so much so that she felt a headache forming. So she opened her eyes and looked up at the sky, watching the clouds drift by. Lazily her gaze wandered back to the puzzle and she managed to complete a bit more of it. She knew she would be finished soon, she would have to make her hands busy with some other task. Softly Urza closed her eyes, at least for this moment, she wouldn't worry about what would come next, she would just embrace it.

Before Urza even knew what was happening she drifted asleep. Taken up by the relaxing nature of the task she was doing it was easy to let the weight of the world just roll off her shoulders. She had become to relaxed, to the point of sloth. but quietly she rested against the tree, dreaming of days in the West. If the young Knight had been caught by any of the Elders in such a way she would have been made to quote scripture while holding the weight of the Rax. To delves oneself into the pursuit of mental strength was not the same as falling asleep under a tree. It was a new sensation for Urza, and one she quite enjoyed.

Urza's dream continued with her walking through the streets. The cobble stone had been worn by thousands of feet treading across it day in and day out. To her left was the housing for the many clergymen and women of The Cathedral, to her right was the complex that housed the monks, how had given an oath of poverty to The Maker. What interested her most however for the building directly in front of her. A build with a large rose stain glass window, depicting the holy light of Heaven bathing the land letting all good things grow. A massive building with flying buttresses, marble spires, and a grand door that seemed to stretch to the clouds. For Urza, this memory was the most powerful, it was were the Children of God was housed, and the building for which her city had been named. The Grand Cathedral of The Maker. Her home. Urza dreamed of it often, but her pilgrimage was only just beginning, for now Otogakure was her home, she had friends, family, and spirit here. Urza tussled a bit in her sleep conflicted by these feelings.

Urza woke up startled by her own uneasy thoughts. Urza often had conflicting dreams about home so it was nothing new. The thing that startled Urza was how much math had been in her dream! Urza subconsciously loving math? It did seem very silly. However the more Urza thought about it the more it began to make sense. Urza had loved wargames and tactics since she was an infant. She played games of war with her father where she played the role of protector and organizer. Math was like that. It was a game of tactics where strategies always ended the same way against other strategies. The key was learn the rules. Urza looked down at her Sudoku puzzle and was able to quickly find two numbers. She only had a few spots left to actauly calculate numbers, than it was a matter of shuffling through the last few until the right combo worked. Urza was very proud of her progress.

Urza's plan quickly halted in it tracks as she came to a bit of a mental block. She was having a trouble time adding the large quantities of numbers in her heads and keeping them all straight. It seemed as if almost all the spots were filled, but each added number added another bit of math to poor Urza's brain. Urza shook her head crossing her arms. She wised she had some paper so that she could write down the numbers as she solved them. that would make sure she didn't count twice and really help her in the long run.

Finally Urza saw it. Quickly she scribbled the last to numbers in that sand and marveled at her board. She shifted onto her knees before sitting on her calf. Urza placed both of her hands over her heart and gave a prayer of thanks to The Maker for blessing her with the intelligence to solve her puzzle. Urza felt very confident in herself and gave herself a mental pat on the shoulder. Making her way to her feet Urza picked up her shields in her left hand, her right hand resting on her hip. Urza felt smarter for solving the puzzle, but her body was itching to get back to good physical labor.

Urza stretched out her tight muscles as she made her way to the training dummies that her squad had procured from and old ruin in Oto. Urza had specially requested to keep them because of their special make. Instead of just being heavy woven dummies with some sort of sand filler they were filled with small metal beads. This gave the dummies a good weight to them, as well as a resistance much stronger than that of sand or wheat. Urza grabbed three of the dummies and set them up in a triangle around her. Not long ago Urza had finished her training as a Guardian, the dual shield bearing boxers of the Knight clan, but she had not yet really been able to find out how approach combat yet. Not to mention the shields were very heavy, and she wasn't sure she had the strength to wield them correctly for a full fight. This training was about fixing those weak points.

Urza tightened the shields around her forearm, grabbing the balance handle in either hand, in a way the two shields acted almost like giant metal gloves. Urza took a couple test swings, but found in incredibly hard to stop her fist once it was moving. The inertia the was generated by the shields was going to be very tough to overcome. Urza turned the shields over examining them. If Urza wasn't going to be able to stop a swing of her own free will even with her strength, than the damage it would do to someone who stood in her path of war would be devastating. For some reason, that made Urza smile.

Urza got into he fighting stance by lifting up her shields to eye level, and bending her knees slightly. It was a fighting stance she had used when she had worn weighted gloves in boxing, so she figured the mechanics behind it were the same. The shields were much, much heavier than the gloves though, so Urza knew once she committed to an attack there was no going back. Urza rocked back and forth a bit catching her breath, but quickly exploded on her back foot swinging her fist with all of her might. If Urza had hit the dummy Urza was sure she would have obliterated it in that single punch. If being the key word. Urza lost her balance as he shielded hand lurched forward, missing the dummy and sending Urza plummeting to the ground.

Urza attempted to lift herself off the ground but the weight of the shields was too much. Carrying them around with her all of the time seemed to be taking a toll on the poor girl, and it seemed the more she tried to lift them, the more the weighed her to the ground. Urza got her body into a squatting position, using the strength of her legs to lift the shields. The impact of the ground shook Urza muscles to the core, causing them to feel rather rubbery as the girl once again attempted to lift her fists into the combat ready position. What if this had been a real fight? Urza would have been one and done, she had to get stronger to make sure that would never happen.

Urza felt the heaviness of her shields getting to her. The young knight turned on her back foot pushing as much power as she could into her strike. Urza's fist flew forward with the speed and power of a freight train. However once again the weight of the shield threw off Urza's center of gravity and her fist missed the dummy. The inertia was to much for Urza to overcome and she found herself being thrown into the ground by the weight of her weaponry once again. The rate this was going Urza was going to have to teach herself the basics of fighting again from scratch just to compensate for the weight of the shields.

Urza regained her balance but paused looking down at her shields. Why was she having such trouble with this? Urza had done sparring with her shields before. She had completed her Guardian training with her father. There is no way that could have happened if she didn't have the ability to handle the weight of the shields. Urza sighed not sure what to do. Maybe it was because she wasn't taking this training seriously. Usually when Urza tested her strength, she would push herself to limit she had never even dreamed of before, but here she was struggling with a couple pieces of metal tied to her arms. Training like this would never help her improve to the levels she wanted to reach.

Masumi watched the knight training. Emiko's head was poking out of her back, but her sister was exhausted from previous training and not really up for much. She walked towards the armored woman and said, "Do you seriously punch people with shields? Odd approach but I suppose that it could be effective." She took off her jacket and tossed it aside, "Though I always thought that combat was more about speed. Between those clunky shields and that armor I'm not sure how effective it would be for speed and stealth. Mind if I test it out?" She twisted at the waist, showing Emiko's head coming out of her back as she did so. The sister quickly stirred awake. "What do you say?"

Urza jumped a bit and snapped out of her daze as she heard the voice of two girls addressing her. As she turned to face the voices she was greeted by a sight that she was very much unprepared for. Two heads, yet one single body. Urza was curious if this was some sort of birth defect, but the idea quickly left her head as she spotted the head bands tied around the girls thigh and and arm. Urza knew all too well that not everyone qualified to wear the symbol of the village. Its true what father says, you can never doubt anything in this world so deeply seeped in magic. Urza thought to herself.

Urza couldn't help but smirk as the girl challenged her to a test of combat. "Well met I hope." Urza raised her fist to her heart in salute to the other girl, "I would agree with you. My armor is not made for the stealthy ways of the shinobi. But if it is a point you would like to test." Urza shifted her stance as she prepared for combat. "Blessed be the Lord, my rock, who trains my hands for war, and my fingers for battle."
