Power Description: Due to Twog's unique genetics (thank you magic chocolate), he has the ability to siphon smaller, natural abilities from Rak and Naiad, but only thru direct lip to lip contact. EX: If he kisses a naiad, he can breathe underwater. If he kisses a Rak, he will get enhanced stealth and speed.
Weakness: Once he kisses a naiad or a Rak, he will retain these powers until he kisses either a demon or a different Naiad/Rak. So if he kisses a fish, he stays underwater until he kisses either a Rak or a demon. He HAS to kiss someone to relinquish the powers he collects.

Scroll Power: Nightwalker - During nightfall, Kolgae has the ability to change into a biological female. If they activate "Living Shadow" while female, they can conceal their presence, but are unable to submerge themselves in the shadows.
Weakness: This power can only be activated from dusk until dawn. To activate, Kolgae must wish to "change" or to "become different" or, more directly, that they wish they were a girl at that point of time. This does not have to be a conscious thought; a subconscious wish will have the same effect.

While transformed, their relatively androgynous appearance takes on a more feminine undertone, with slightly larger hips, breasts, and other markedly-female characteristics. This transformation is painless - it is very possible for them to change without being aware of it - and has no significant energy cost. To Kolgae, it would be like they zoned out for a second and when focusing once more, their sex had changed.

Should Kolgae become pregnant at the time their power is activated, their body will remain biologically female until the embryo is carried to term. It's perhaps the quickest method of a pregnancy test available, not unlike the after-affects of couples conceiving via Iordanes' arrows.

If "Living Shadow" is activated concurrently with "Nightwalker," Kolgae can conceal their sounds, including those incurred by breathing, walking, etc, and their general presence. They must be in the shadows to do so, and doing so incurs an energy cost similar to activating "Living Shadow" while male. While female, they cannot fully merge themselves within a shadow. Kolgae does not become invisible, but unless someone nearby is actively looking for someone and/or otherwise highly vigilant, they would not notice Kolgae nearby.

Power Category: 4. Redeemer
Chosen Power Name: Gemstone Shield
Power Description: Carnelian can give others a temporary shield against corruption. Having an actual stone of carnelian can power it up or make it last longer.
Weakness: Only lasts for about an hour without recharging, an hour and a half with a carnelian. It takes more out of her to charge a gemstone than to charge a Pae.

Carnelian was starving. She hoped this wouldn't take very long, but she was afraid that it was going to take all day long. Well, it just meant she could pig out when she did get home. And she was definitely going to pig out. She knelt at the stone before the altar and tried to make her mind as empty as her stomach.

Finally it was time. She opened her eyes and was sent to find her objects. She was tempted to just grab three random things just so she could go eat but she decided to be good and really looked for the right objects for her. It actually didn't take as long as she thought it would.

When she returned, she held three items in her hands. The first, for her heart, was a little clear plastic ball that had once held a toy for Spinel. Inside was the object for her mind: a tiny spyglass. The plastic ball for her heart, to her meant that she left her emotions clear to everyone she cared about. The spyglass for her mind was a nod to all the sneaking around she and her sister liked to do when they were younger. She smiled, thinking about the times they snuck into Venus' parties when their parents told them not to go.

The final item for her soul was actually something she tended to carry with her all the time, tucked away in her hair: A sphere of the stone she was named for. It comforted her, and having read up on the properties of it she liked it even more. Carnelian, the stone, did a lot with motivation and stimulating creativity, but her favorite part was the way it was said to repel certain negative aspects. She wanted to do that for the Pae she cared about, keeping them all positive and motivated. She was reluctant to place this last item on the altar, but she did so before coming to kneel at the stone again.

When dusk started to darken the sky, a Mellon appeared to her to teach her about her new power. She hoped it would be helpful...

Chosen Power Name: Do You Wanna Build a Snowman?
Power Description: Akio can use the moisture in the air to create small snowman constructs.
Weakness: Snowmen will melt easier outside of winter The bigger the construct the more energy and moisture required to create it. On dry days, he'd be lucky to make a small novelty toy size construct.

The sun was barely beginning to peek over the horizon as Akio made his way to the temple. He might be running slightly late, but his knees hit the prayer stone in enough time to receive instructions and to see which Guardian had chosen to offer their blessing for him.

Eryx. The shapeshifter Guardian. Akio grinned; this was gonna be awesome. Akio stretched and went on his quest to find his three items. This was the part he'd been nervous about. What items was he supposed to choose? Would they just jump out at him or did he just have to look super hard for them?

He didn't know! He also didn't want to ask and seem stupid, though. Akio wandered around where the Guardian had indicated, picking up items here and there. One in particular struck him as something that could represent him in some way. It was a worn piece of park in the shape of a snake. Maybe his mind. Like his older sisters, Akio tended to be sneaky. Especially if he was doing something his parents didn't want him to do. With a smile, he kept that one in his hand.

Two more items he needed to get. This might be easier than he thought it would be. He slid his fingers over the softened bark of his snake and wondered if he would be able to keep it at the end of this. Not paying attention to where he was going, Akio almost tripped over a root. He did fall to one knee where he found what looked like a crystal shard. It was probably just colored glass, but it had a pink tinge to it. It was similar in hue to the ends of the feathers in his wings. He did have a tendency to be sharp with just about everyone. It was just a defense mechanism. He was afraid of getting hurt, so it he kept barbed wire around his heart no one could hurt him.

Now he just needed an item for his soul... It took him a bit longer to find this one, but at the edge of a lake he bent down and found several smooth, flat stones that someone had painted on. There seemed to be no rhyme or reason to the symbols painted on the stones, nor any signature to denote who painted them. They also seemed to be everywhere along the bank of the lake. He only felt a little bad over picking this one up, but it was just so perfect.

A snowflake was painted on the one he held, with swirls of snow behind it and the colors of the aurora in the far background. It spoke to his soul as he stared at it, finding new details the longer he looked. It was perfect. After another few moments, he stood again and headed back to the temple. It wasn't long before dusk fell and an avalon fairy appeared with his blessing. He grinned, excited to learn his new ability.

Scroll Power: Fleeting Shadow - Kolgae can steal memories of themselves from others.
Weakness: Kolgae can only affect the short-term memories of others [requires player approval or metaplot relevance], not themselves, and they can only affect these memories insofar as the memories directly pertain to their actions and influences. They cannot erase any physical indications of their activities, only memories, and they cannot falsify memories to account for any residual 'gaps' that may result. The result may present itself as either 'black outs' of certain parts of memories or an inability to recall whether someone additional was there; e.g. it'd be like changing Kolgae from the main character to a background character without dialogue that only appears on-screen for a few frames.

It is possible for a pae to recount these memories should a strong enough 'trigger' happen. While this may vary from pae to pae, it would need to be something with significant emotional impact. Simply speaking with Kolgae after the fact is not sufficient enough to be a trigger, and in fact, those without strong memories or emotional attachments may very well never be able to recall what was lost again.

Kolgae retains all memories that he 'erases' from others from their point of view, and in doing so replaces their own memories of the situation with what they've 'stolen' from someone else. They will never recover their own perspective from what happened, nor will they ever forget these 'stolen' memories.

Weakness:
She can only do one or the other, not both, at a given time. Her power is limited to inanimate objects and dead vegetation (e.g. wood, bamboo strips). She must be touching the object with her body in some manner to utilize her power, be it her hands, feet, or tail. Once she lets go of the object, it returns to its regular state; however, if she has 'bent' or 'shaped' a rigid object into a new form, it will become rigid again while maintaining that form.

It takes energy to make and maintain these changes. If she becomes too tired while trying to do so, her power will 'turn off' and render itself useless.

When Raabi'a is near - within 25m of her for now - her ability to make objects sturdy improves exponentially at the cost of being able to make objects flexible. This special perk grows stronger the closer the twins are to one another until gradually dissipating and changing to the lower-powered version once they are beyond the threshold distance. Additionally, their energy-usage is more efficient when they are close to one another, allowing them to use their ability for longer and for greater purposes than if they were alone. This too lessens as they grow further away.

Power Description: Chal can draw a shadow fog to an individual that will help calm and soothe them. This ability is more effective the more simple-minded the individual is (so it is most effective on animals, and would be less effective on an intelligent pae)
Weakness: As he uses the ability his own senses and mind will become foggy (in a less soothing manner). If he continues to push it he can become lost in his own mental fog indefinitely, until someone is able to pull him out from it. (His father, Azure, would be able to use his abilities to do this.) Again, the more simple the creature, Chal would hardly noticed the effect it had on him, but on a more intelligent creature, the effect would be very noticeable.

Power Description: When actively looking for it, Koit can locate a nearby body of fresh water, be it stored in an aquifer, artesian well, or living creature.
Weakness:
With himself as the epicenter, he can identify water within a 150m radius of himself from the surface to a max depth of 150m or the beginning of a confining layer of soil: whichever appears first. This depth works in a spherical motion with himself as the center; that is to say, he'll only know 150m below him at the point he stands, as he will only know what is on the surface 150m away from him in any direction. Think of it like a hemisphere of influence.

Due to their association with the element of water, he will always find the presence of a naiad (or anypae sworn to Tariel) if they are in his area of activation rather than any freshwater he may be attempting to find. Their presence will completely render his ability null.

He can identify if something that is not water is in his area of influence if it is below the water table (i.e. if it is surrounded by water). While he can make inferences on what it could be, he cannot exactly identify it. For example, while he could say something 'treasure box-shaped' is 100m below him, he has no way of knowing if it's just a strange rock or an actual treasure box.

For now, this is limited to things in the lithosphere.

Power Description: Hachiko can heal almost any illness or injury short of fatal by stabbing the patient with her angel blade.
Weakness:
The original injuries may be healed, but the area stabbed is not healed. This impact area creates a painful wound that does not heal by normal means and takes a lot longer than a normal wound would take to heal. The processes is painful and lingering. Naturally healing a rak would still kill it.

What if she healed via the weapon touching blood. So if they're sick she has to nick them and press the flat of the blade against it or up against a bleeding wound. Or if you're trying to go for dramatic, what if she has to stab the heart without touching the ribs and it'll heal completely? But if she's sloppy or misses they can die...

Power Description: So long as Corazon is inside the circle she created, there is a dome over the area repelling passive taint. She creates the circle through rocks blessed with a strand of her hair and planted firmly in the ground. The hair used does not grow back as long as it is attached to the special stones.
Weakness: The dome only repels passive taint such as taint wafting on the wind it cannot cause more then a little irritation to active taint brought into the dome. If the rocks are moved the circle is broken and if Corazon leaves the dome the power is removed. It only stretches just passed the current foot print of the Ranch.

Our suggestion would be to start with a lower temperature, perhaps something that would allow her to shape things like gold & clay (along with the warming things and starting fires, that's fine). Once she becomes more powerful like in a Hallowed state, then she'd be able to maintain the higher temperatures it would take to melt glass.

Pae'il Name: Tanzanyt

Chosen Power Name: Chimera's Serpent
Power Description: Tanzanyt has bonded with a chimera, granting her the ability to transform her tail into a venomous snake with a petrifying bite - this bite is particularly effective against animals afflicted with taint. Additionally, she has gained a passive immunity to neurotoxins and developed a pair of pit organs on either side of her nose, allowing her to "see" infrared radiation.
Weakness:
Her serpent tail is as feisty as she is and may act without regard to her own wishes. Perhaps in time she will be able to control its behavior more, but that won't happen for quite a while. It largely acts as a threatened snake would. While she cannot self-petrify, it can still hit her with a painful bite. Her immunity to toxins is specific to neurotoxins - hemotoxins will afflict her just as much as any other pae.

Pae who are immune to (neuro-)toxins are immune to the petrifying effects of the bite. These effects are localized - if you're bitten on the arm, you'll no longer be able to move it, bite on the thigh? hope you don't need to walk anytime soon. These effects are also temporary and will fade slowly over time. While Tanz is growing used to this ability, it will only be able to bite at (present) full strength. 1 bite -> 30 min of localized petrification -> 24hrs before the toxins are recovered and her tail can bite again. With time and practice, she'll be able to better control how much venom is released. Less venom = less duration of petrification, but also a lower recharge time. Due to Telrunya's magic, it cannot cause death (only severe discomfort) regardless of where a pae is bitten.

The toxin has the curious effect of neutralizing animals afflicted with taint by effectively 'petrifying' their thought processes as well, leaving them unable to move until the effect wears off. It has no additional effects on tainted pae (at this time).

The length of the snake is the length of her tail - it is an all-or-nothing transformation.

For now, she is incapable of controlling her pit organs, and so may become overwhelmed in crowds (particularly during the daytime). Nausea and stress-induced reflux are the common side-effects of this.



Should she grow more involved in the metaplot and become hallowed, or otherwise gain additional power perks, I'd like to further this beyond specifically the tail (chimera's tail -> chimera, essentially). The ability to grow goats horns/hooves or lion traits would be nifty, or perhaps a minor venomous bite of her own or the ability to mimic other serpentine aspects (e.g. a forked tongue and Jacobson's Organ or the ability to turn her pit organs "off" ) or an improvement to her venom's effects.

Chosen Power Name: Words Will Never Hurt Me
Power Description: Maiya can heal another's physical injuries by speaking with them. She may either do this by explicitly or implicitly referencing about the future condition of said injury.
Weakness: Maiya must talk to the affected person and reference the injury for her ability to kick in - she can't talk about it to someone else. Sarcasm is okay (e.g. "Oh yeah, I def hope it gets better soon." ) as are insults (e.g. "Man up, it ain't that bad." )

Taking poorly about an injury will not cause it to worsen. This is a healing-only ability (for now at least).

This ability will not activate if she is forced into using it - accidental usage is okay, coerced usage is not.

She cannot currently heal diseases or taint. At present she can't do anything dramatic, like fully healing broken bones or deep lacerations. Should her power be strengthened, this is how it would be done.

Power Description: Ziva grows more powerful (relating to strength, agility, durability, etc.) when put in increasingly dangerous situations, peaking when her life is truly threatened.
Weakness: The most obvious weakness is that in order to optimally use this ability, Ziva must put herself into dangerous situation. It's effectively just an "adrenaline rush" on steroids - once she is sufficiently out of harm's way, she's likely to experience an emotional 'drop' as her levels return to normal. She may also experience additional muscle fatigue or soreness from overexertion.

She cannot fake a situation - she must have a conscious or subconscious awareness of the inherent danger she is in for it to activate. Likewise, she cannot turn it off.

If she ever were to gain another ability, this ability will apply to the secondary one as well and allow for amplified effects.

Pae'il Name: Sea Holly
Power Category: 2. Mastermind
Chosen Power Name: Innate Cartographic Sense
Power Description: Sea Holly can form and retain a perfect mental map of anywhere that she has previously visited
Weakness: Think perfect memory, but only involving a place she has visited before. Kind of like a dungeon map.

She does not have an intuitive sense to not get lost when exploring a new region, but will never become lost upon backtracking. She is capable of explaining her mental maps via directions, but she is no better at explaining than any other pae. She can also attempt to draw her mental maps, but her ability to do so is not improved by this ability (and, quite frankly, she has no artistic abilities).

Her mental maps only contain information she has personally observed - if an area changes between when she last visited and when she visits again, she would have no way of knowing. Her ability currently does not allow her to instantly internalize information recorded on a physical map, but perhaps that'd be a good way to enhance it in the future.
