As the music bubbled over the speakers, he grinned. Now this reminded him of home. He and Denise had spent more than a few nights out dancing at jazz clubs. But he was a woman now...and he didn't know if he could convincingly dance the part. Just the thought made him chuckle, a chuckle that quickly turned in a resounding bass belly laugh that was far too deep for his feminine form. Over the heads of the other boothgoers he spied 'Sacha', looking about as frumpy as s/he had been for the entire festival. Was she talking to that flower? He shook his head, but waded through the throng to lay a hand on his shoulder. "May I have this dance?" He rumbled, not bothering to disguise his man-voice. Maybe he could jostle her out of her foul mood. "I'm not takin' no for an answer," he added teasingly, a wicked grin on his face. OOC This is Washington Becker, a hunter in a meatsuit! Yes, Sasha had been talking to her flower. It was the only thing that seemed to soothe her foul, despondent mood. At Wash's approach, Sasha hurriedly wiped away a tear that had just finished tracking down her pale, chiseled cheek. She just wanted to go back to the island so that she could curl up and die with her rose clasped against her chest. Alone, always alone. "Perhaps this dance," she began in a wibbly voice, not bothering to alter her voice either, "would help ease the ache of my troubled heart." She didn't miss that teasing voice or that wicked grin - she'd get him back for them both once she wasn't feeling so emotional. Clearing her throat and deepening her voice almost comically, 'Sacha' gave a manful sniffle and dipped her head in acquiesce. "Let us dance to forget the pain of a tortured existence My heart can weep no longer but my feet can move with no resistance." Poetry is hard, okay? OOC  Sasha is a hunter in a golem. This golem's name is Sacha Von Vondervon. This golem is a 6 foot tall, slenderly built vampire male. He is dressed rather dapper in a pair of slim pants, a silk shirt with a vest over it, and a deep crimson rose boutonnière. For some strange reason, he also seems incapable of speaking in normal phrases; each word that the regal undead fellow speaks seems to be some sort of strange emotional poetry. He also seems to be on the constant verge of tears. As a note, students & horsemen do not recognize these slightly nicer prototype golems.

♪ IT DON'T MEAN A THING ♫ Dance Partner's username: pinchmonster Wanda just shook her head, sending her golden curls flying. "Whatever you say, man." Without another word, he rested his hand on one of his partner's slender, if boyish, hips. It was a little disconcerting, but he had to keep reminding himself mentally that this was actually a woman, somewhere past the pink stain of tears and bad poetry. To distract from the oddity of the entire affair, he tried something a little more bold - taking his other hand into hers gently, she swung the boil around in a circle before arresting her movement, flinging her arm outward and her partner with it. She realized then that she had no idea if 'Sacha' had any dancing experience at all. And that she didn't know the strength of this new, albeit undead, body. She smiled anyway. Even if they both tripped over their own feet, it'd be fun- hell, it might even be a little hilarious. 'Wanda' bit her lip and tried not to laugh again. When Wanda spun him out, Sacha just kind of ... kept on spinning. And spinning. And spinning. When he finally came to a stop, Sacha wibbled on his feet as he did his best to regain his composure. From behind one of the speakers, a petite young Howler girl watched the two dancing golems with her eyes narrowed and quills on end.
Maybe she'd go try the Karaoke booth again.
Maybe that would help heal the feeling of a stab to the heart.

♪ IT DON'T MEAN A THING ♫ Dance Partner's username: ?? Try #2 (try 1 score -36) Wanda couldn't help herself - a laugh bubbled out before she could stop it. "Oh, g- boy, you are just somethin' else.." She tossed her curls over her shoulder and stalked closer, offering an arm to steady the other hunter. "Sorry 'bout that, got a little carried away. Let's try something easier, right? Just do as I do." She grabbed two handfuls of her skirt, and began to hop back and forth from foot to foot, slowly at first and then a little faster, to the pace of the music. Alright, so Bells looked like something was weighing her down, and it couldn't have just been his mother's subtly snide remarks - well no, it could have been, but Mort wasn't inclined to think the witch would be close to tears after only a few verbal bouts. Unsure of how else to approach the issue, when he saw a couple dancing at a booth for a contest, he took the witch's hand and led her over, protesting or not.
Avoiding the whirling vampire (damn he was going!) but still passing glances in the other couple's direction as if he could glean tips, he moved them to a more open area. "So, uh . . . dance with me?" he proposed with a little smile. "Will try to, er, actually lead this time." Though with this sort of music, he wasn't sure what he was going to be pulling off.
