Adamanth, Attacking Ateth
Aerith's retreat was gratifying to Adamanth. He did not have to worry about protecting her now, and could focus on bringing down this larger, but clearly inferior, Silver. When Ateth turned his attack on Adamanth, the Weyrling took the full brunt of the hit with a bellow, but quickly lashed out in reply, darting under Ateth's chin and snapping at his neck and chest.
Just after striking Ateth in return, Adamanth felt another stinging in his hide and turned his head to glare at the wher attacking him.
Begone, pest, or I will crush you next!

Ateth (Ground), Defending Against Adamanth
While he wasn't likely to admit it, Ateth was rather tired after chasing after the little white dragon, and it was slowing him down considerably - especially in comparison to the smaller, younger silver. Snarling, he tried to fend him off and save his hide further damage.

No crush! the brown retorted, punctuating the words with a roar and another slash of his claws. He wouldn't give this dragon a chance to do any such thing!

Adamanth, Attacking Ateth
Although Ateth tried to dodge away from his attack, Adamanth still caught him slightly and quickly attacked again. From the corner of his eye he saw the irritating little wher trying to launch itself at him again and quickly yanked his tail aside, half-distracted and thus landing only a light blow on Ateth. The lack of as strong a blow as his last sparked his anger further. He would follow Aerith soon, but he wanted to bring down this dragon first!

This time, Ateth didn't try to fend the other dragon off. He took the lighter blow, reacting to it with a deep snarl, and tried to bite at Adamanth. He wasn't going to lose now, not to a weyrling!

Ishsk chased doggedly after the silver's tail when he jerked it aside, trying to pounce on the appendage. It would have made more sense to target another, harder-to-miss part of the dragon, but...well, he was a wher, and not particularly sensible.

Adamanth, Attacking Ateth
Normally, Adamanth may have tried to deflect one of the attacks, but he was so stricken by his rider's fall and the anger he felt toward those attacking the ones he cared for and protected that he lost all sense. He lashed out at Ateth again as Ishsk latched on to his tail, striking with claws at the face now close enough to his body to reach. He lashed his tail slightly, in the hopes of shaking Ishsk free, but it was a secondary thought.

Ateth roared, jerking his head back when his opponent clawed his face. His face! Incensed, he lunged forward, trying to bowl the smaller dragon over and claw at him.

Rather than allow himself to simply be shaken off, Ishsk tried to latch onto the lashing tail even harder, to dig in with both teeth and claws.

Opth crooned again to the little green as Firith joined in her fight. ~ Well done little darling~ She swiftly avoided Kloth's claws and retaliated with her own. ~ Slow beast! ~

Adamanth, Attacking Ateth
Adamanth saw the wher coming this time and snapped the tail away from him. His claws would not harm Adamanth this time.
He kept one whirling eye on the enraged Ateth, however, and as Ateth lunged in to try to knock him over he used a quick push of legs and wings to move aside and snap at Ateth's side again. The movements of both dragons, however, left his teeth snapping on air. That had not gone as well as he had hoped.

More allies with him now; good. This wouldn't take much longer, with any luck. Swiping sweat from his eyes the bronze rider manoeuvred around in front of the brown again and gave him another lick of the whip.

Now there was a little green going for him as well! Kloth snapped his jaws at her in irritation, but it was still the red dragon he focused his attack on. Turning away from the young traitor he launched himself at the mutant again.

So he'd missed, but at least Adamanth had as well. Ateth rounded on the younger dragon, swiping at his wings.
