So things where not looking good, she eyed the text for a moment purple eyes flickering as she debated what to do next. "Hey Shehk? I need you to take this for me." She turned to the other ghoul offering the the gift wrapped package she was carrying. "I'm going to go on as look out, we can't have everyone in here right now with no one out there and if something goes wrong I need to get that package back later."
Next she turned to Lizzy. "Hey, that package I gave Shehk, it was a gift, from Red's family to her. I... I want to pick it up later okay? I want to make sure they get it back somehow, but if I go on look out I need Shehk to take care of it just in case something happens to me." She offered the spider ghoul a pat to the shoulder before before moving to the door and slipping into the hallway shutting the door behind her using her FEAR filled eyes to take a look around the hall top to bottom.

Dragain ...keeping the file with the familiar name on it, putting it into her bag. The blinders were then removed, so that she could flip through them, trying to see if there was anything interesting inside. demon_pachabel ...messed with the pages to try and read again... There it was: the tantalizing tease of a familiar word, too quick to register before it disappeared. There had to be a trick to figuring it out somehow... Sosiqui Malodore swore under its breath as it realized the bottle was stuck. Carefully, it loosened its grip and slowly tried to lower the bottle into the drawer itself, paying it out and down with the loose fabric it was frozen to. The thing darted out of the drawer as the bottle was lowered into it, flinging itself boldly against its side. It struck it with enough force to shatter the bottle, the loud crackle of glass muffled and amplified by the drawer. Ice began to form along the drawer and up Malodore's sleeve. The plague doctor jerked his sleeve back, freeing it. But the ice continued to climb up and over the side of the drawer. Miliardo Kason ...the gift wrapped package she was carrying... Miliardo Kason ...before moving to the door and slipping into the hallway shutting the door behind her using her FEAR filled eyes to take a look around the hall top to bottom. Sammy doesn't see anything out of the ordinary aside from the fact that the look-outs were now missing.

Shehk took the package from Sammy with a small nod. "Alright, hon." she relented. It was probably important, but Shehk didn't have the heart to look inside.
Instead she went to go sit in the moonlight before to continuing her fussing. Her eyes were kinda starting to hurt, after all.

demon_pachabel ...took the package from Sammy... demon_pachabel ...sit in the moonlight before to continuing her fussing. Aside from the coded text being easier to make out, it... still didn't mean anything to Shehk. (( Roll 1d20 ))

Shehk slowly turned the book over in her hands, before she flipped back to the covers to see if the paper lining had anything significant about it.

Malodore jumped back away from the drawer and the ice, watching it with narrowed eyes. How far would the ice go? For now it just drew away and observed...

demon_pachabel ...flipped back to the covers to see if the paper lining had anything significant about it. The front cover has some dates on it. They are meaningless, however there is also a note that the particular journal Shehk has was written during Red's second year at Amityville. And if you weren't Red then put this back where you found it, as the book would be meaningless and worthless if you weren't. There were also odd, squiggly and moving runes here off to one side beneath the note. The runes held the same quality as the rest of the book. Sosiqui For now it just drew away and observed... Tendrils of ice cracked and spread up and over the side of the drawer before it began to creep over the rest of the desk itself. It was moving rather quickly for an inanimate object... There is a flicker of a shadow down the hall, as if something moved. Sammy looks at it. Nothing is moving. Perhaps it was a trick of her imagination?

She would have been much more willing to throw this book across the room if it wasn't Red's. Instead, Shehk just frowned at it, as though that would will it into submission. It was odd, that writing.
If it was written her second year of school it wasn't Boogeyman related, though. Was it...would Cricket be able to read it? Still, she found herself Bending pages (but not folding) as well as turning the entire book upside down to have-at those blasted squiggle-runes again!
FRUSTRATION. SHE WOULD MAKE THIS BOOK HER BITCHA:LKFJSLA.

Something shifted, something stopped movie. What was that? Her eyes narrowed and her eyes flared with FEAR before she snapped out a quick text.EVERYONE Rdy 2 go something in hall, unsafe.

Malodore hurriedly pulled its phone out and read the text, gaze narrowing behind its lenses. "We might have to get out of here," it said, "and not just because of Sammy's warning.." The ice was making it increasingly nervous. "Don't let that touch you..."

demon_pachabel Bending pages (but not folding) as well as turning the entire book upside down... The words on the page seemed to skitter up and along the sides of the page, following the movements but still stubbornly remaining indecipherable. And upside-down. As soon as Sammy closed her phone and looked up, something dark and shadowy hit her from above. Sammy is now here with nothing but her phone. The ice begins to pick up speed. It touches the edge of Malodore's robe. Ice begins to creep up his robe and spread like a thin spider's web, growing thicker and colder with each passing moment! Free yourself! Roll 1d8. Land a 1 or 2, and Malodore is now here. EVERYONE ELSE STILL IN THE ROOM The ice is beginning to move fast. Roll 1d20. If you roll 1-12, you make it out safely. 13-20, the ice touches you and freezes you, taking you here!

"Merde!" Malodore struggled, but managed to tear its clothing free of the rapidly encroaching ice. "We need to run - this is too dangerous to remain!" It pressed itself against the door. They had to get out before it sealed the door closed-

As the room began to ice over, Shehk had a similar response to Lizzy's. Clutching her newly gained treasures to her chest, she waved everybody still in one piece toward the door. "Take what you have and go!" She urged lingering until the last person was out to close the door behind them.
