Sao, the S/F points are special points, to be spent when you want to do something spectacular. Nothing in the RP so far has jumped out at me as being something someone should spend S/F on. Here are some situational examples:

• Luke Skywalker in the Death Star trench, firing the torpedoes that go into the vent when every other attack has failed.
• Rick Hunter managing to survive the nasty friendly fire anti-ship missile attack from Lisa Hayes' botched Daedalus Maneuver.
• Goku going Super Saiyan for the first time after having been struck with the grief of losing his best friend.
• A hacker who is able to crack a code usually beyond his skill level.
• A lone fighter who against all odds has managed to repel every single invader from his beloved homeland's front gate.
• Calling upon an extraordinarily powerful entity to aid you.

These are situations I'd say would need S/F, or rather "Success/Failure". You can use an S/F point to force a success, or force someone to fail. You can make that torpedo go in, or force all those missiles to detonate in such a way you'll survive, or create an extraordinary effect that would normally be considered "overpowered" in the course of normal RP.

Edit: One more point: when you decide how many points you're spending on this, you are assigning a value to it. If Goku spent 1 S/F point, Freeza would have to spend 1 S/F point to counter it. In other words, you are assigning a point value to the ability.

That would be something like Guardian having his Wolverine run and dodge like a maniac through a wall of enemy fire... and come out unscathed....

He'd have to spend points on it.

I haven't backread through this thread at all, but as a general suggestion...

The organization of this place isn't exactly friendly to new people. I know some of you guys and luffs you heart So I feel comfortable coming in here and pestering you till I get the info I need to RP with you. However, I think it would be beneficial to newcomers if you guys had some kind of general OOC sticky on how to get started...just basic stuff on how to get a profile approved and what the different branches are and so forth. It doesn't have to be massive, just a quick little thing to get newbies oriented.
