"I'm relatively familiar with the Maul, Al. I mean, it is the only one really close to the school so it is the only one I've ever been to. I just...I'm not as big of a Maul girl as I might look.." no matter how well dressed she was.
Shehk's ears again twitched when another voice joined the conversation, turning her head to look at their newest joining 'member' of sorts. She offered him a sociable nod. "The more the merrier, or so they say." Sometimes it wasn't. Like uninvited hunter company. Uurrrgghhh. She didn't actually make that sound, however. It seemed that unintentionally the new-comer was introduced as well.
"So we have Richard." she pointed to the newcomer, "Al," to the Faun, "Mar," to Mar, then to herself "and Shehk. Just to get some light introductions out of the way. They are painfully hard to Segue into sometimes when everybody already knows everybody else."Huni Pi I'll keep you up to date on stuff, hun~ <3

Anna was at the Maul today as well. Since she had failed at actually trying out for the school play, having psyched herself out before even making it into the theater to audition, the witchling had decided she couldn't bear to actually watch the play. The play of missed opportunities. The play of regrets.
Instead, she'd come to the Maul. Not to shop - she had precious few seeds as it was - but just to look around, especially at the bizarre Christmas Town oddities. She'd stared at the tree for about five minutes, unsure what to make of it. How strange it was.
Shibey did not approve.

The tail wagging stopped the moment Neil caught sight of a certain ghouls white hair. His red eyes stared a hole through her before he remembered to blink. No, he did not hate Anna. But he was confused almost completely by her. He stuck his hands deep in his jackets pockets and hunched a bit. "Will you ghouls excuse me just a second I'll.... be right back.." He gave them both a promising nod before wandering Anna's way. He stopped when he was safely with in not being able to be hit with a bucket range and cleared his throat with a cough instead of saying something.

"It is always a pleasure to meet such fine ladies, and to talk again with you Al. I had thought about wandering around with no destination but it might be easier after all to have a guide." Richard figured being with a crowed would be far more entertaining as well, since Al was already doing his stutter and the ladies seemed none the wiser. He couldn't help but smile at the actions of the 'Mar' person, her weird noses and sounds.
It was downright annoying and he wondered if she were really anything like a bird? If that was the case then wringing her neck wouldn't be too difficult, if push came to shove. Which he inwardly hoped it would, because otherwise his stroll over would have been a complete waste of time.
"Are there any good shops that sell books? I'm rather fond of reading, I find it's a fantastic way to expand one's knowledge on their world. Also their fellows in it, if the book so happens to contain the information." Actually, Richard didn't like reading and he didn't really care about others, but they didn't need to know that. He wasn't going to reveal anything about himself, not to them or anyone else.
His lies would spread, and it would be fun.

Ri had just bounced onto her toes, about to gush about him being a student and her current favorite music being Johnny Danger's new CD and then.... Neil just walked away. The monster ghoul equipped a bit of a pout but at least he'd excused himself. "Who do you think she is?" She whispered to Siobhan, leaning in on the ghoul closely. "She's pretty.. I guess. Maybe.." She muttered sourly. "I wonder if they are friends. He didn't look happy or anything.." She clung on the banshee and gossiped like they were the oldest of friends.

The cough called Anna's attention, and she looked back to see... oh. Oh goodie. That boil. Why wasn't he watching the play?! "H'lo," she mumbled. "You're not going to push the tree on my head, are you?"Obviously, she trusted Neil about as far as she could throw him.

He looked absolutely /elated/ at this. " Oh thank Jack. I was starting to think I came all the way here and was going to have to leave with my tail between my legs." He confessed with a relieved sigh. SOME knowledge of the place was better than absolutely none - wich is about where his knowledge of the place ranked. He cast a look towards Rick. Griiiining from ear to ear as he took the bait. Hook, line, and sinker, " I love books! I'm so so very fond of learning new things." " Do... do you know where tha'd be?" He looked back to the ghoul hopefully. " Or... stationary? Like. Pens. Ink. Paper. Stuff like that? Not that I like to write..." He added with a thoughtful look. Scratching behind a horn thoughtfully. Overall, he was nervous. Very much out of his element. He was used to quiet forests not crammed shops.

"Scaremark has some nice Stationary, if you're interested in that sort of thing. That's where I got the set that I used to write to my sire back home with...." she bit her lower lip as she said this, as though some thought had occurred to her. She probably would pick up something for Decebal as well. Not that he'd write back...she really was worried about the fact he'd stopped writing to her. Especially when he'd been the one to insist that she do so.
"As for books, there is Hoarders and Barnes and Owls which both have a pretty reasonable selection. Barnes and Owls would probably have stationary too, now that I think of it..." she mused thoughtfully. "We could head over there if you'd like?" she suggested with the smallest inclination of her head, holding onto Mar's hand to keep her in tow.
Better to let the darling little Canarion stay with them instead of getting thrusted into a new group of strangers, after all.((If we go to a store, we should make a Maul PRP thread to keep it relatively uncluttered.. @__@ ))

Anna seemed less then thrilled to see him and even asked him if he intended to push a tree over her head. He huffed a bit at that. "I'd had already done that if I was planning something like that idi-..."He held his tongue a moment not letting the word idiot escape him. This was a ghoul, not a boil. It took a small moment for Neil to really think what he was going to say. "Were going to the music store and... if you want you can come with us." He looked over his shoulder to Ri-Ri and Siobhan. "CAUSE you look kind of ... pathetic and lost here by your self and. Um.." This was stupid. Why had he come over here any ways again? Neil was getting frustrated trying to figure that part out. He looked down at his converse and the back to Anna's face. "You don't got a bucket ... do you?"

"Barnes and Owls sounds quite delightful. Let's go there, and you can pick up your stationaty in the process. Killing two birds with one stone, as you might say." Richard's face flickered in a brief and wicked smile, his eyes narrowing for a moment like a snake on their prey. "Oh, no offence Mar, I did not mean to use such a reference. I'm still learning the phrases you know, from reading books. I should have thought that through, I apologize."
Richard was not sorry. Richard was not sorry at all but somehow he managed to make his voice seem like he was, and his expression followed suite. He couldn't and wouldn't let them know what he was thinking, not just yet. Perhaps later, when they felt more comfortable around him. The stuttering fuan would make for excellent fodder.
"Please, by all means. Lead the way. Come along Al, we can discuss book genres." Pfft, as if.

Anna was taken aback; she gave Neil a searching look. What did he mean by inviting her along? Did he have some kind of plan or something? Some kind of plan to be mean and make her look stupid? He'd said sorry last time, but... "I am not pathetic, I am not lost, and no, I don't have a bucket! But I bet I could get one here if I needed one," she added. Then she peered cautiously behind Neil to the others he'd mentioned. Hm, she didn't know them at all... maybe it was his gang?! He seemed like the kind to have a gang. But they could hardly hurt her in the music store, right? "I'll come, if you promise you're not going to be nasty," she said, finally.

Freya liked this little red imp. He was smooth, despite being.. a little red imp. It was adorable! "I wills be buyings him a foxfire. He loves them." Freya squeezed Lattice's hand, looking at her for a moment. She wanted to answer for her, but.. "Yehd have teh asks her, I don't speaks for her!"
Her phone was ringing off the hook, but she ignored it - for now.

demon_pachabel I'd be fine with that if Rownie is Al squealed with giddy delight. Finally. He thought. He was nearing his goal. Not only that, but he was sure to have fun looking at books as well. Turning his head towards Richard he smiled huge at him, " Yes! I can't wait!" He really couldn't. His mind rapidly drumming over all the newer books on dragons, lizards, snakes, and all the other delightfully scaly creepy crawlies that he may get to read, buy, and hopefully get home in one piece. He followed after the ghouls closely hoping to get there even faster by sdoing so. It never once occured to him that Rick might have been possibly being deceitful. He's already proven himself a hard read. Never a good sign... alas though. Al was stupid and all he had on his mind was the prospect of books and friendship.

The canine was quiet for a moment. He hadn't meant to insult her but it just came out. He was just too good at insulting with out meaning too. He gave her a small smile but did not say sorry. "I'm sure there is a bucket store some where in the mall," He rubbed his chin thoughtfully in a teasing way. "But you'd have to get one of those metal ones other wise it might not hit hard enough. And then I could probably eat you or what ever wolves do to cute ghouls." He had called her cute with out meaning too. The boil realized this imidately and stiffened a little. He cleared his throat once more. "Any ways..." He stuffed his hands back in his pocket and headed back toward Ri-Ri and Siobhan. Anna got a glance back to see if she was going to join them.

The Ghoul, or rather Lattice finally introdueced herself, it had taken a moment, but he couldn't blame her, she had been worried over her friend who was once freaking over the rats, and now? Now she seemed to be talking to the little imp and gushing over her phone.
But that wasn't his concern, instead he focused on introducing himself and his cat. Sharpie took this moment to leap on to False's extended arm and run up his arm and to his shoulder where he sat up proper and tall.
"My name is False miss Lattice." Said the reaper with a bow, the small cat perked up higher bowing his own head, "And I am Sharpie." Both stood up again nodding towards Freya, and TG as well in greeting.
False offered a smile "It's nice to meet you all. Especially you."
As if to confirm this Sharpie was suddenly on the ground again nuzzling at Lattice's ankles. "....The cat agrees it seems."
