Hikari stopped almost instantly at hearing the offer before looking back at him, somewhat surprised that he wanted her to open up to him before quickly looking away again towards the way she was heading. "Bigger prides mean the more lonely I become..." She sighed finally saying what was on her mind then sitting down where she was, ears still lowered and tail limb beside her now. Those emerald eyes seeming to just be eyes now no light of life just dull. "Plus all of you have family here, unlike me I am the outsider here." Distance was how she felt, only Manaba seemed to notice when she was or wasn't around, or even bothered to talk to her but she pushed him away like she did everyone else, so in the end if she ended up alone it would be her full fault.
PostPosted: Sun Aug 26, 2012 10:25 pm

manaba was sort of feeling bad for bringing out any saddened form of emotion. Hikari was simply just a dark bundle of depressed emotion. If there was anything the lion could do, he would try just about anything. It was up to the lioness if that was to happen or not. Approaching the lioness with a bit of a slow step, the male sat beside her. A little bit of space between them as to not make the lioness all too uncomfortable. There was no wish for that to happen. FOr it would be a little bit too bad. Ears lowered into the dark black mane. Green eyes keeping their vision on the sad lioness. Whom distanced herself. "Family or not. Nobody is an outsider. You know that." It was asier to hear something than believe it. That was common knowledge. "Just look at Misae. Not from the Pride Lands but she's part of us." He was going to keep trying to cheer her up. Be annoying or not it did not matter.

Watching a giant gold being playing with a bunch of smaller fur balls was all in itself entertaining. "Something more than likely sha'll happen. Not quite the first time." Deciding to lay down, Ayita once again crossed a single paw over the other. Keeping her strong vision locked on the tussle of cubs and a large golden furball. Taking a couple of seconds to laugh. The head huntress would simply enjoy the little scene which was to transpire. The battle of the ages. One against many. Amazing on how this was going to work. "Do sense a tad bit of trouble quite a bit in the future."

Those deep red eyes kept their sharp gaze on the small puffed up brown form of a proud male lion cub. Lips twitched in playful aniticipation. Waiting. Watching carefully. Thinking as a low rumble surged through his throat. Bodaway may be in a playful mood. But the stance he was holding and the way he was acting didn't quite seem playful. No way would this gold giant harm any cubs. This was to show them. Changing from the crouching stance, Bodaway stood and held out his own chest. Grinning in that flashy way of his. "Scared? Why would a lion of the sun be scared? None the less. I accept your challenge." The little roar the cub had given lit something ablaze. To accept the challenge the gold giant himself was ready to let out a roar. Taking in a massive amount of air. His maw opened, teeth baring, and out of those jaws came a bone shattering roar. "Question is. Are you too scared?"

Hikari felt her ears pin back against her brown fur wondering how he could be so kind and just accept everyone had faults inside. Though it was Manaba, the flirt who she wouldn't mind smacking around with her paws every time he opened that stupid mouth of his. "You see how all the others treat me! They avoid me whenever they can!" She huffed coming slowly back to her violent self, her weak moment gone, a quick lash of her tail and she was down the pride rock heading off into the distance for another one of her half day walks.

"Trouble follows like a disease, Ayita." Abaeze looked at Ayita with a half-amused expression. The other half of her expression of exasperation as she watched Bodaway behave like a cub. "Great, and here I thought we were received another guard or warrior for our pride," she sighed as she observed the shrieks and gasps of the cubs, "but all I see is another cub to care for and watch over." She wondered who the cub was in the little furry group in front of her and Ayita. As she listened to Musa fearlessly proclaim his bravery after Bodaway's roar, she knew something troublesome would occur, and she was right. As Musa's paw fell on a particularly sharp and rounded rock, she knew the scene would end badly. For Musa that is.

"No," Musa roared in his cub-voice, his blue eyes shimmering with excitement. The cub wasn't about to let himself be scared by the giant male, even if his roar was better and scary. The dark lion cub would never show his fear. "I will never be afraid of a big fur-ball like you!" Charging at Bodaway, Musa's dark, mud-colored fur flashed passed his fellow cubs as he tried to ram his head against the golden lion. What followed was because of his own actions as he lost his balance because of sharp and round pebble.

[You can say Musa fell muzzle first into the stone right in front of Bodaway. It's for comedic affect, so he'll be all right.]

Sitting there watching the chocolate colored emotional lioness take off in a fit of rage. Rather anger. Manaba simply sighed. There wasn't anything he would be able to do. Or could do. All the lion could do is give her words. If Hikari din't accept them that that was on her terms. Couldn't force another to accept the truth. "They don't avoid you. You avoid them!" Those were the last few things that escaped the jaws of that black maned young male. Watching the dark form quickly take off towards the Pride Lands. Hikari would be gone for a while. Again. Manaba frowned and just layed down. Setting his head on his paws, watching Hikari go. Ears flattened against his thick mane as he let out another sigh. He would lay here for a while. His leg was bothering him now and that wasn't so much of a good thing of course.

Lids occasionally blinked at the imaged playing seemingly in slow motion before them. The loud crackling roar which split into the air from Bodaway didn't even cause a reaction in Ayita. It was something the lioness was quite used to. Though it was easy to notice a cub here and there which became a little jumpy after the fact. Apon seeing the mud colored furball strengthen his reserve and charge forward, others followed in his lead. Running forward towards a massive gold giant of a male. Eyes calmed and Ayita let herself laugh, teeth showing in a amused smile. "On the contrary. A cub who only needs another to care. Though he sha'll not get that one other for there are none." The classic philosophical words of the head huntress. Just a good statement right before a bit of trouble happened. Not so much trouble anyway. A little scene which caused Ayita to actually whole heartedly laugh. It was cute to watch cubs play war. But, witnessing a supposed face plant by a roudy cub after a battlecry was quite entertaining.

Bodaway was highly looking forward to the little gang of cubs coming after him. There was always a love of action. Even if play wasn't truly action, it was a chance to teach that sort of action. Play was one of the most vital parts or experiences in a cubs life. They instinctively learned techniques that would be used in the future. It was always fun to have a little bit of a fight with a cub or two. Though the gold giant was known for getting a little too into anything he was involved in. Never hurt another which was the good thing. Watching Musa defy everything and go for the challenge, those red eyes kept their tough light all the way up until a ball of fur seemed to stop mid motion right infront of him. Bodaway stood there silently. Speechless. First there was a little group of cubs about ready to group attack him, then there was a trip of one. It looked a little painful. It took a second to realize it was the brave cub that had shot forward faster than the others. Musa. "Trying to get my guard down?"

Musa, with pain running through his body, only remained on the ground as he listened to Bodaway's question. The cub grinned at the stone. "Something like that," and three cubs used Musa as a platform to launch themselves at the golden lion. Sitting straight up, he watched as the cubs flew at Bodaway with their own battle roars. The other cubs also roared over to the large male, their fur on end, but their claws sheathed. Each of the cubs launched themselves at the great golden lion, laughter in their eyes as they attempted to defeat Bodaway.

Abaeze didn't know if Musa planned his fall, or just improvised the situation, but she knew she'd scold him for being so reckless. He could have seriously gotten hurt with that fall. The lioness could bet her next meal on Musa being in pain right about now. If he didn't get himself killed one of these days, she'd kill him herself. "He's either ingenious or stupid," she sighed to Ayita, settling down and watching the mayhem unfold in front of her. She wouldn't get involved in this "fight". Besides that, she could tell from the chuckling of the maidens and guards whom were watching that they were enjoying the little show.

There appeared to be a little war of the sizes and ages going on before the vision of green eyes. The emerald hues scanned across the many little figures that were high tailing it and launching themselves into the air at a sun gold giant. Little roars of battle echoeing throughout Pride Rock. Surely catching the attention and humor of the Maidens laying off and slumbering in the bright sun. Taking in the energy of the day. So that they may be lively during the night. The cubs would surely be tired after this little battle. But a good nap would leave them wired for the night. Just as typical cubs would be. "Probably a cross of both my dear friend." Cubs would seem to cover the gold frame. Ayita had to keep herself in good humor. And this was doing pretty good job at it. It was far more entertaining than pretty much anything else so far. "This is quite interesting is it not?"

All was fair in love and war. Rather, war in this case for it was quite obvious there was to be no love. Bodaway braced himself for the furballs jumping his way. At the feel of small paws on his frame the large beast let out a bit of surpsie. Making himself lean back on his hind legs he prepared to catch the other cubs. But the weight caused the gold body to fall backwards. Hitting the stone of Pride Rock he laughed. Growling with twitching lips he kicked he tried to roll over without crushing a cub with his weight. WOuld surely kill one if that was to happen. Good thing the giant was very good at paying attention. The cub with Bodaway's main attention, was Musa. Managing to get to his paws those wild red eyes stared down the small leader of the cub pride. Teeth flashed as if challenging just him once more. Even though he had a cub or two biting at his well taken care of mane. However it did not matter.

Abaeze watched the cubs and Bodaway play noisily, and thus providing entertainment for the rest of the pride. The lioness could only hope her younger brother behaved himself and avoided harm as he played around with his friends and the golden lion. "I know something will go wrong in this scene..." As she spoke, another wave of cubs launched themselves at the lion, their battle roars piercing the air. The rumbling chuckles from warriors, guards, and maidens alike reverberated through Pride Rock as they all observed the "fight".

Roaring loudly, Musa focused on Bodaway, baring his small fangs just as the larger cat did, his fur fluffed out to the fullest size possible. His small claws were unsheathed as he made innocent swipes at the lion; he had no intention of harming the golden cat, intentionally that is, by accident, not his fault.

Best song by them, ever.

Everything indeed was raising up in level but none the less all entertaining the same. Keeping calm and reserved even in the air of such energy was far easier to Ayita than most. Others were getting into the scene of the sprawling and fighting cubs and 'cub.' It was a sight to see and seeing was what the main purpose of watching was. A gentle and smooth as silk laugh was let out casually. Ayita must be enjoying herself. Oh how true that was. It wasn't very often the pride recieved a show like this. It was also not often the cubs got action like this. It was atually vital if you were to think about it. Playing amongst themselves wasn't always enough. It was nice that Bodaway was so open and playful with the cubs. Would benefit the young ones greatly. Especially the little mud ball. Musa would learn quickly at this rate. Already it seemed he was catching on with brains. Watching carefully, the head huntress took note of the ferocious playful air about the cub. An eyebrow lifted. "More than likely by the seems of it now. But, everything will be fine."

Bodaway was taking notice of a few features the cub had rather quickly. Baring teeth and fluffed fur along with the surprising appearance of small talons. Musa was immitating and learning along with adding his own little touch into things. Ignoring the other cubs could be an option but one had taken a hold of his ears. Lips twitched and the gold and red eyes giant shook just enough to make the cub release the hold, landing on the stone on small paws. Good. Lowering his head and turning it slightly to the side, a glance at the cub could give a playful warning all the while keeping some sort of vision on Musa. At this point the other cubs caught onto something and scurried off. It was now down to the sun colored figure and the deep mud colored shrimp. Keeping his own claws sheathed however, that tail whipped through the air. Waiting. Waiting to see if the small one would move first. In just a few seconds, Bodaway would if Musa had not. Time to see.

Observing the golden lion's movements, Musa wondered just what was going on in Bodaway's funny head. The other cubs had backed off, sensing something brewing between him and the newcomer. The cub was glad the lion did not unsheath his claws because Musa would be no match for such large claws, but he was curious as to what exactly Bodaway was waiting for. Frowning as he hissed once more at the lion, the mud-colored cub feinted to the golden beast's left, then right, then right again as he tried to climb up Bodaway's back so he could reach his head and start "clawing" at his eyes.

Abaeze watched the two male lions have their little mock-fight. Musa was being creative in his way to approach Bodaway, the lioness would give her brother that, but she still had the nagging feeling something would go wrong in this fight.

Sunset red hues watched with close intent. The mud colored furball had something planned. That was for sure. The way he seemed to be sizing up the golden male. Lips twitched as Bodaway noticed the slight change in weight on paws. Musa was definitely going to be moving soon. Just like that the cub started to pivot as if trying to confuse the bright colored giant. The feints from left and right then right again were not missed. Nor did they do their intended job. Teeth bared, that massive body swung around. With a heavy set growl he snapped his jaws hard enough to make a sort of pop sound, merely a few inches from the cubs flank. Bodaway could very well kill the cub. As outside prides do where only a single male or his brother rule, killing cubs of another male. However this was not his intention. It was to show the cub to watch his backside when against larger opponents. The next even though was a bit of an accident. A large paw meant to act as if it was to sweep Musa off his feet. With the young cub moving, it turned out worse. Bodaway full on smacked the little guy. Not hard enough to cause internal damage but leave him with no breath. Immediately he stopped. Froze in place. Oh no.

Indeed. Something bad did happen. Though it was nothing too serious. Knowing Bodaway however, Ayita had a presumption about the male's current thoughts. Consisting his eyes immediately shot to gaze as Abaze, the head huntress confirmed her thoughts. Yep. He was believing he was going to lose his tail. Or much more for the harm on the cub.

(This is complete crap D: )

Musa felt himself skidding across the rocks, pain jarring his shoulder. Then a shadow fell over him, and a series of worried licks back from a familiar rough tongue. The cub's older sister seemed to be ignoring Bodaway as she focused on him. Good thing too, Musa's head was spinning, and he felt like throwing up every time he tried to stand. He didn't feel good at all, and his shoulder still hurt. "It'll be okay. You need some rest, Musa." Abaeze's gentle voice held no trace of anger or anything mean in it. Her eyes were sorely focused on him and on getting him to a safe place.

The cub was seeing double-vision for a moment before he could focus in on the others. Bodaway seemed to be feeling really guilty.
"I'm all right, Bodaway...whoa, don't worry," Musa tripped over his tail as he was led away, pausing only as his sister addressed the gathered lions.
Abaeze was calm, which worried the cub, but he didn't complain as she spoke.
"Continue playing, cubs, and remember this as a reason why lionesses have cubs and not the lions. " Her words had a humorous effect with the lions around them as they laughed. Abaeze led him away from the others.

Deep sunset red eyes watched almost in slow motion as a cub practically flew across the rocks. Skidding like a kicked pebble. The mudball was about the size of the golden male's paw. The paw which had just stricken the young cub. The appendage which had probably just caused severe damage to a young living being, was lifted and gazed at. Crimson eyes seeming to hold absolute horror in the thought of what had just occurred. It was a good thing talons had been sheathed. That. Could have been deadlier then already possible. Ears sunk low in a large fluffed mane as Bodaway stared forward now, setting his paw down. Stood and watched Abaeze take immediate care of her much younger brother. Stepping forward he was going to open his maw to apologize but shut it as the lioness spoke to the young one. Then again he was interrupted but this time by a shaky voice. By little Musa. Sighing once again he went to try and speak but the cream lioness spoke again, causing a laughing fit to spread through the pride. Clamping his jaws shut. Lips and maw twitched. Finally he went to walk forward to follow after Abaeze and Musa. "I'm s-" Interrupted once more by a large brown figure and gleaming green eyes.

Ayita would have quickly splurt forward if it was her job. However, even as head huntress. This was not her job to be done. This, was her dear friend's task. Taking care of the physical wellbeing of a blood related cub. Knowing this well she stayed back. If it had been her, with Manaba as a small cub, the emerald eyes lioness probably would have attacked Bodaway with not much thought. In this case, however, Abaeze was calm and had gone straight for the little mudball. As the scene played before her those ever watching eyes continued to drift back and forth. Catching at watching every little tidbit. Every reaction. Predicting what was going to happen. And coming near close to perfect with doing so. Infact, before the gold male had probably contemplated following the injured cub and silently upset lioness, Ayita predicted such a thing. Thus edging forward as she got to her paws. At this point in time she stood right before the male. Almost equal in size. Ayita's gaze never wavered. The hard look within them told him to stay put. Back. That was all she needed.

Though it backfired. Bodaway took those paw steps back. Eyes still watching. Quickly he turned and awkwardly tumbled away. Pads hitting the stone. That right paw feeling the contact still that it had with the cub. Fresh in his mind as he hopped down the stones of pride rock. Reaching the bottom he thought of leaving. Accidents happen. But they always stick. Nobody would forget this. Neither would he. But, if he left now. It would cause issue. Growling Bodaway merely went around to find a crevice. Seemed to have been at some point a hiding spot. For who or what? Only the ancient stone knew.
PostPosted: Tue Dec 25, 2012 8:46 pm

Abaeze remained calm and collective as she took her younger brother into a small cave formed by the rocks, sniffing his body all over. The cub winced when her nose touched his right shoulder. She sighed. Careless cub, careless Bodaway. Males shouldn't be left to play unless they were the same age. In the background, she could hear the returning chatter of the pride, cubs wrestling, and the wind whispering. It was a perfect day, and she was helping her injured brother. "Now, what do you have to say for yourself, Musa? Haven't I always told you to be careful while playing?" The lioness interrogated the still disorient cub.
Musa began shaking his head a little too quickly for her liking as he answered her.
"Don't shake your head , Musa, and no, you can't sleep."
"But Abaeze! Why can't I? I'm so tired!"
'Because cubs that hurt their heads and take a nap don't wake up afterwards, that's why. Now, stay awake while I go find something for your shoulder and your headache." The lioness ordered, turning around, and leaving their little area for the plains. She knew a few good spots where herbs grew, and she'd make use of them for Musa's sake.

[Exit Abaeze to the Pride lands.]

Ayita watched Bodaway pounce away. Rather, jump down the rocks of this glorious home. Not thinking or planning on following him. The head huntress stood her ground, stayed in place, and just turned her head. Looking around at her pride sisters and brothers. Unrelated family. All of them. Some with worried eyes, as cubs continued to play. The start of the day with a bad beginning, but however still a good feel. If this even hadn't happened. Deep brown paws now moved the large frame forward. Not following after Abaeze, as she knew very well just where the lioness was taking the cub. And just where her friend would be going after. As long as the two had known each other it was predictable. A gentle expression stayed on her face, as she headed up to speak with the kind king. Whom appeared to be awake and aware of the situation. But, his attention seemed to be caught by something. So she turned her head as well. Spotting a fleeing golden figure. Who was blending in with the fresh gold grass.

Tail tapping against the cold stone floor, deep eyes peered through the darkness of this cave. Sunlight just coming through the entrance, however not reaching the place of rest. Those eyes changed their spot of vision and stared now at a paw. Talons unsheathed and somewhat gleaming in the darkness. Curved and sharp. Dangerous enough to rip open even the thickest hide of a rhino. Strong enough to help the massive male climb even the tallest of trees. Of course with a little bit of trouble. This same paw, with talons sheathed, could very well kill a small creature. With just a swing. Could kill a playful cub. Either instantly or a long run. Blunt force trauma. Internal cranium damage. Bruising of organs. Broken bones. Much, much, more. So many possibilities. The thought caused a grumble and a twitch of lips. White fangs showed. Soon they hid as a growl now formed. That paw was placed over eyes. Bodaway was fighting back tears truly. One of the worst things that could ever happen. The Pridelands and even his family pride weren't like others. Where a single male, or brothers, ruled. And rogues could come and kill cubs, taking over with a fight. It was a taboo to him. A great taboo morally from how he grew up. Even though this was an accident, and he surely was not trying to take over the pride, it was the mere fact of possibly killing a cub. Not just any cub. Musa. Abaeze's younger brother. Only family she had left. Blood anyway. Thoughts reeled and one of them was maybe just going home. Even if this was his home now. But, thoughts were interrupted at the sound of rustling. Bodaway now watched as Abaeze's form headed out to the Pridelands. Getting to his paws he started to trot out, about ready to run after her. But he stopped. Instead, he turned in a different direction. Heading in a familiar direction. It was set. 'My mind is set...' It was.

(Go go go Bodaway! Run! Lol XD He be goin' too)
