Riku watched as the rocks had no effect whatsoever on the pokemon. She cursed inwardly, knowing that she should have known better. But rocks would probably effect a rock pokemon more then her fists would. A rock against a rock, at least one might help chip away at the other, right? She immediately watched the pokemon wearily, ready to try and avoid whatever attack came next. Failure was not an option, she needed to get that chrono stone!

Though even in the darkness, the moment she turned a corner she would find light. Light from the ceiling as the glow of a special type of rock seemed to give the place a soft light ...., but also an humming noise as a buzz that seemed to almost be like electricity could be heard ....... Why such a sound existed might also seemed to tell the story of the history of such a strange place itself. Though for the moment, that information would be hidden by the rocks that lay around her, and the path that stood ahead ....as the pathway would twist and turn and continue deeper and deeper into the place.

Though there was a good chance for failure as the pokemon would literally roll towards her opponent. Her aim this time higher as she uses one of the rocks to help with her jump ....and she would try to slam Riku in the chest and into the ground below her with that attack. Her entire body spinning as she made that jump ...if this hit it would hurt, and if it hurt ...the girl would find herself with few and fewer choices considering she had already taken one injury before hand with the Growlithe in the desert.

Riku hit the ground hard as the rock slammed into her. She just laid on the ground, trying to regain her senses. Blood dripped onto the ground below her as she had been cut by some of the rocks. At first, she didn't even want to get back up. How did she have any chance of defeating a pokemon? She had no weapons, nothing in which could really aid her in defeating it. So what if she didn't come back with the chrono stone? What's the worst they could do? Then she grew more worried as she thought about it. They would probably kick her out of the academy. No, failure could not be an option. She shakily got up, her violet eyes filled with determination. No, she couldn't lose. Ryuu was counting on her and she also needed this for herself. Picking up more rocks, she hurled them again at the rock pokemon, aiming for the center of it this time in hopes of harming it.

The Roggenrola hit as it spun more and rolled off of her opponent. If she had a face she would have been smiling as she turns around only to find that the girl had picked herself off the ground and was once more hurling stones. It was quite laughable to think that she thought it would have any effect at all, but desperation brought about such ridiculous things ....as the pokemon jumped away from any rocks that might have come ...her way.

Once again, the girl paused, blinking and allowing her eyes to adjust to the light around her. Once they did, she started moving forward again, working her way over stones in the path, and around stalagmites and stalactites.the little squirtle scurried after his trainer, grinning and giggling, obviously planning something, maybe a trick of some kind. This time, her attack managed to hit! She heard the resounding thud as some of the rocks actually hit her opponent. Slightly relieved, she realized this battle might actually be succesful. The girl watched the rock pokemon wearily but unsure on how to be able to find a method that would help effectively dodge. How could you predict the mind of a rock though? She could only watch and wait, hoping that something in the pokemon's movements would give away what she would do next and the girl could try moving in the opposite direction or something to dodge.

Though that trick would have to wait as a Nidoran (F) munched on some of the moss that grew on one of the Stalagmites ...her tiny teeth were tearing at it even as they came into her pathway. ANd it seemed that for the moment they could if they chose advance without any problems, or at least as long as they choose not to bother her .....as she munches lightly.

Pain ...Pain actually sparks through it's body as one of those rocks managed to hit her center. She wasn't happy ...not at all, with such a hit and she was mad as hell as she started to rotate herself like a wheel ...the sound of the ground actually screeching as she did so hummed loudly before she raced forwards to try and smash the girl again. This time, low, she would attempt to break a leg, and then ...she would break her.
Pain wasn't something she was suppose to feel, especially from a human and it rose her wrath like nothing that Riku could have done would have.

::All at once, it sounded like the forest was coming down around them, the rumble tipped them off quickly, there was a mass of sounds, mostly obscenities by Lindbergh awoken from her nap when they turned and saw it::
...Wish I had a camera. ::Jasmine looked at the beast scuttling forward, the beady eyes, the frothing mouth, it was easy to see it was angry, and she went from awed to a more solemn look... it seemed a battle was inevitable here, especially when she saw the tree trunk and the shining orange material inside, precious Amber... she'd done it, now she just needed to collect it and get it home!::
::She stepped forward before the other two could, her crutch clacking and exaggerating her stride, she moved at least better now she'd rested, looking to the Kabuto::
::It was hardly dented on that hardened back, the rock-hard pokémon had hardly taken any damage from the stealth rock and she cursed herself, she had hoped it would have done more honestly, that they needed to have got more damage in before a battle with a creature with an advantage like this...::
::NONE of their attacks scored even regular damage... and as she saw it hiss an icy vapor, instantly her hand went up with a device, a pokéball, but not for the Kabuto, instantly she recalled Lindbergh, the confused Gligar vanishing::
::She wasn't ready to lose him again so soon, even at full health... a doubly super-effective move, plus higher levels... it didn't add up...::
::She bit down... as Claudandas now took to her side, she nodded down, then looked back to the Kabuto, her eyes slowly lighting again::
I apologise for hurting you with that trap... it was wrong of me perhaps, but I needed a way to open that tree... I will make reperations if you accept... but if you don't... ::She warned, standing with a firm hold of her crutch:: ...You're facing both of us if you fight.
::She was perhaps the least intimidating force the Kabuto could face, but now there Jasmine and Claudandas stood... but would they battle?::
::It seemed that was up to the Kabuto to decide!:: Claudandas Purrloin (m) lvl:2/Adamant hp: 11/14 Pp: 16 Att: 7 Def: 7 Spd: 8 Sp Att: 6 Sp def: 7 Moves: Scratch, Pay Day

Rita blinked, glancing at her Whitacre, then at the Nidoran before them. It wouldn't be that bad of an idea to have one... Especially considering what they would later involve into. "Whitacre! At the ready"Whitacre halted mid trick, frowning at the command, before moving in front of Rita and crouching. "Hey! Rabbit ears! Over here!" He called tauntingly to get her attention.

The girl shouldn't have been that happy as all of a sudden, the pokemon came whirling towards her obviously angry. As she tried to avoid, she realized she was too slow. There was a loud crunch as the pokemon slammed into her left leg. There was a loud crack as the bone snapped. It was broken and Riku felt the blinding pain. She took a couple deep breaths, and shifted her weight to her good right leg. The pain went down a little but it was obvious that she wouldn't be able to do much more. She had to finish this soon or else perish. The girl leaned down picking up some more rocks, while biting her lip and trying not to cry out from the pain. Gritting her teeth, she picked them up and tossed the rocks once more at the pokemon! She must not lose and it wasn't like she could manage running away anymore.

"Fable on your left!" Raven barked rather sharply as he caught the glint of the Durant's metallic body. From the speed of the attack, the insect was likely attempting to give them no time to react...but that was the thing...this was exactly what they'd been waiting for! The boy's hand flew to his sword, almost drawing the deadly blade purely out of reflex.
No. This was not his battle.
Flame lite tail swaying to one side, the Charmander immediately allowed one of his legs to buckle, kicking at the ground with the other. It was a forceful and abrupt roll, but for the moment it would suffice.

The Emolga wouldn't managed to fly very far before she found herself coming rather close to colliding with a large cavern; but not simply any cavern. From all around the entrance odd pieces jutted out this way and that. Columns seemingly from some old temple caught sideways on the left, what could be nothing other then a steel girder on the right, and a tree thrust upside down into the mountain just beyond that. The most noticeable feature however would be something Victoria would be able to spot on her own, even from a distance.
Save for one pain of broken glass which acted as the entrance, the cave mouth was covered by a clock-face of tremendous size. The ever present sound of it's ticking stood as testament to the fact it still functioned. Once the girl drew closer she would even be able to tell the time. Quite early in the day wasn't it?

The Kabuto smirked a bit as he saw the cat. A creature that looked soft and fluffy in his opinion and then he looked at the girl and her plead of forgiveness. IF she had shown him a display of strength he might have been willing to accept it, but such a weak front ....and his mind turned slowly. A creature of his status and physic deserved to be worshipped and admired not attack. Though he was normally of a gentle nature, so he seriously thought about simply turning and walking away.
She was apologizing and claiming that she would somehow make things better. But, did that really matter to him?
The thought swirled in his mind for but a moment ...before probably to the Purrloin's disappointment the Kabuto turns and then starts to scamper away. Even if it was an easy win, he wasn't a predatory pokemon and such a fight would gain him nothing more than injuries at this point. Something that in a land as harsh as this one ...would only equal death at one time or another.
Thus, he had decided that the battle wasn't worth it, the injury was minor, and the human was sorry enough that he could simply go on his way. Jasmine would probably be a bit surprise to simply see the pokemon go.
