".. A question was why you woke me?" He scowled even more as she flopped on the bed... quickly turning into a frown, then a pout, and probably a few other emotions before he heaved a huge sigh. Pressing his hands to his knee's he pushed himself to his feet, looking down with a smirk. "Scoot over, princess."
Without waiting for a reply, he pushed the ghoul a little to the side so he could sit his rump on the edge of the bed. Tails fanned out behind him, one laying on top of the ghoul. "...Choose between someone else and myself?" Now that would not have been an issue in the begining of these trials... Remi was selfish. He would have chosen himself.
Now? He found himself growing rather attached to those on his team. Xiu and Amrita especially, they were worming their ways in to his heart at a rapid pace he did not think possible before. He cared for Lacie and Raziel as well, but Xiu and Amrita were the two whom really took the most damage and defended himself and the others in the battle... so they earned his respect more so.
"... Did all they ask was that or was their some mumbo jumbo attached too?" He remembered them speaking in riddled before.

"An important question." Amrita clarified, looking incredibly sheepish. She was getting much better with facial cues, so as Remi went on his rollercoaster of emotions, she found herself mentally trying to guess each one. Anger? Upset? Unhappy? Mildly peeved? Man, she wished it wasn't rude to ask if she was right.
"Eep!" She squeaked as she was pushed, scooting over belatedly on her own accord. As his tail settled on her, that weird undead flush came to her cheeks, and she found herself...surprisingly comfortable. In fact, all of her limbs were getting heavy all of a sudden! Her eyes felt weighted, she could close them and it'd be no problem, right? She'd open them again in just a litt---
"NO." She cried out, pushing herself to sit up and gaining a stab of unaccustomed pain for her troubles. It made her hiss and flinch, but she scrambled to at least sit up, and even that was still a chore. "I! I mean, uh, N-no, there was, um, more." Now she was stuttering, focusing really hard on her lap like it was super interesting, her hands messing with a layer of torn material.
"Um, they said...something about a taste of what would be every day for us, and...a final test?" She wrinkled up her nose, really unsure as to what that meant. Aching shoulders shrugged, and she dragged her eye back up to Remi. "Y-you know, it's okay if you want to help yourself. You're hurt, after all." A backwards hand reached over to pat his wrist. "It's your choice, you know? It won't change anything." Not that she knew what was there to change or anything, it just felt right to say.
Then, to leave him to his decision (and to get off the surprisingly comfortable bed before her body decided it was nap time), Amrita stood up shakily and turned to leave.

Did .. the reaper just ask if she was a turkey? Aisa's eyes opened wide, eyes squinting towards the reaper with a flash of indignant .. and interest? She loosened her palm from the hairy rope, the friction of going downwards leaving a red sizzling mark in her palm of her hands. However, she hardly seemed to notice .
Her distracted answer was interrupted by the arrival of two statues -- They hardly interested her. Her hips swayed as she walked towards the reaper, jasmine eyes glancing downwards as she walked past the rest of the room's inhabitants .. and flicked the reaper's forehead along the way. Her hand reached out suddenly and withdrew as quick as she had brought it out, her steps fading in the distance. Her hand dipped towards the curve of her neck, flicking her long back hair to the side with a flourish, chin tipping down, eyes narrowed towards the statues.
What was Red up to with this house?
Soon, the heir of Death was gone, without a trace.

NOW he just looked down right confused.
Eyebrows draw together, he sucked in a breath and shook his head in a attempt to clear it. Sleep was a lovely thing but damn if he was a morning person. Plus, if there was one thing he hated it was decisions that were black or white. Why could there not be a grey answer?
"Why cant i protect someone else, AND myself?" He mused out loud, not really addressing anyone. Pulling his knee's up and propping a elbow on one, he rested the side of his face against his palm. It would be too much to ask the other two of them what they chose, that might sway his own decision... but the question that he was supposed to answer, was more a question where the answer was to be Selfless, or Selfish. Remi could be both. He wanted to save his own skin... but.
His dual tone eyes flicked to the group of people in the room, heavy in thought.
...He also was heavily protective of his friends.
Standing up abruptly, he walked over towards the ghoul in question and gave a cocky sort of grin. "Stupid question really. I will help someone else out." As long as it was them, but he added THAT mentally.
Shrugging his shoulders he grasped Amrita's backwards hand for a second, squeezing it, and then as quickly as he did the action he let go, and walked away in the direction of Xiu. Amrita would find in her hand, Remi left behind his Pumpkin pill.
".....Who was that?" He caught a glimpse of the woman who was here, feeling his skin prickle as he watched her walk away. He did not know why, but something about her was just.... jacking scary ok.

Amrita's walk paused as the Heir of Death walked past her, visibly shivering from the FEAR that radiated off of the woman. It made her skin - no, her entire being crawl. Death...being dead. It was something she was not, her existance thwarted it entirely, but to be in its presence was humbling and terrifying at the same time. The Horsewoman's overwhelming FEAR practically glued her in place, and so when Remi came sauntering over to her, it was a welcome relief and distraction.
She stared up at him as he answered the statue's question, unable to help the smile that crept back onto what was left of her lips. Either answer was good, but that one seemed better to her; they'd been through a lot, all of them together. It would be nice to see it through to the end. His hand received a squeeze in return, but it wasn't until he walked away did she realize there was something in her palm...because she almost dropped it.
It took her all of two seconds to realize what it was, and her eye went wide. But he--- why--- Just--- Remi! She wasn't sure how to respond; she was touched that he cared enough to sacrifice his own well being for her, but she couldn't exactly let him sacrifice his own well being for her. Exhaling through her nose in a light sigh, she unceremoniously tucked the pill into her bodice where she imagined it would be safe (what? it was tight in there, nothing was going to fall out!), and wandered towards the two demons.
"I...I recognize her, but I don't..." She scrunched up what little was left of her nose, trying to remember where she had seen the Heir before.

So Amrita and Remi had both made their choices. The baku smiled at the two as they approached her, but anxiety was clearly etched on her features. "I wonder what this last trial will be, exactly?" Despite her choice, it would be a lie if she claimed that she wasn't scared for herself as well. At the very least, she took some comfort in the fact that the three of them would be going together through the same door.
Now, what of Lacie and Raziel? Xiu glanced over towards the two, but looked back to Remi at his question. Her gaze shifted to Amrita next, and she nodded slowly, the corners of her lips tugging downwards into a thoughtful frown.
"Yes, me too. She was in...our Sex Ed class, I think?" Again, the exploding pumpkin memory (and the memory of being splattered by those same pumpkin bits--ugh) flashed through her mind, making the ghoul cringe. Composing herself, she added, "So I...guess that means she's affiliated with Amityville?"
Xiu certainly hoped so, at least. That ghoul didn't seem like the type that one wanted as an enemy.

Lacie stepped back from Aisa's intimidating aura, unsure of whether she had said something wrong or not. Was she not a turkey? Her face went D: When the horseman approached her, she stared up uncertainly.. and then went down holding her forehead. "Owwww." She winced as nobody had ever flicked her in the forehead before. But as long as it wasn't those hunters, Lacie still believed that Aisa was nice.
Still on the ground, she looked from the corner of her eye and could see Amrita attempting to wake Remi up. Her eyes widened as she realized that Remi was pushed out of bed, and another wincing look as she heard him fall to the floor. That would .. hurt most certainly. She recovered by the time Amrita and Remi had made their way towards Xiu, and overheard their conversation. Standing up with her hands clasped together, "She was in your class? She seems like a fun person!" Smiling as she said so, despite her overwhelming aura of fear, Lacie found herself liking the horseman very much so! And she was on their side as well.
"As for the choice.." Lacie thought about the dogs who spoke. Closing her eyes, the decision wasn't difficult to make. "I think that I'd like to help someone else out." Lacie liked all of her teammates. She wanted to protect them. She didn't quite know if it was because of their friendship, a concept still new to her, but nevertheless, the feelings did not change. Besides, they deserved to live. If it was at the expense of Lacie's life, she would easily give it up for them.

Raziel had been sleeping like a rock, not waking up for anything. When he finally did wake up he had no idea what was going on. His teammates seemed to be all hyped up about something and both Remi and Lacie were saying something about helping someone. Not wanting to be too far out of the loop, and still clueless as to what was going on, he joined in, "I'd also like to help someone else out."
He dragged himself up from the bed he had been sleeping in and walked over to stand closer to everyone else.

Remi opened his mouth to say something to the group, but nothing came out.
Just as he thought things could not get weirder... the room suddenly turned white.
Remi was gone.

Smiling, Xiu reached out to give Lacie's hand a small squeeze, and then did the same to Raziel. That was that, then, everyone had made their choices--it seemed that they were all going through the same door.
Xiu was admittedly really nervous, but there was no use lingering around now. It was time to get to the final trial (and then hopefully get out of here and go home).

Raziel was relieved to discover that everyone in his group chose the same door, though he wasn't sure if that even meant they'd stay together. In past field trips you could never assume one way or another and you just had to roll with the punches.
It was only a moment before Remi was gone and then Xiu was gone as well. Raziel wasn't exactly sure how to exit, but it didn't matter because the room shook all around him and he disappeared in a blip as well.

Lacie smiled back at Xiu, sharing the relief that they shared the same beliefs -- and left as well.
