The ominous ships appeared on the horizon once again, making it apperant that another raid was imminent. One of the ships was working striaight for the shore, hoping to aquire even more material as the other ships, a good ways away from eachother, sent their flyers out on more straifing runs. This time, however, the flyers targets had changed and instead of aiming for the traps and such, aimed for the mass of boats and warships the resistance and citizens had ammased to hopefully fight of these things. Time was getting short, and with all this work to go to waste, maybe the third metropolis would fall if there was not a major intervention.....

The iron clad defense, their bunkers and returning kunai launchers were having a small amount of success agaisnt the flyers, and the traps were doing their job for the most part. The Automatons were seemingly wising up and begining to find themsleves paths and ways around the various traps, and were once again beginning to loot and and return back to their ships with it.
The flyers were haivng much better success attacking the ships, their straiffing rins causing many of the ships to have holes and take water. Any of the more sturdy ones had kunai launcher bombs dropped that launched explosive ones. All in all, the armada of ships only had 15 left, and the numbers were dwindling fast....

Arriving in the lead Manfread kept a wary eye out for anything he could whack with his sword. Using his byakugan in a short range sphere he quicky checked to see that they were really close to the metropolis now and from this distance nothing looked really out of place, for now. But they were still not directly in the city yet so anything could happen in an instant, so he kept his vision wide enough to encoumpass the team and the immediate area.

Akane walked in behind Manfread, but not to far away from him. He kept looking around making sure that nothing bad was happening. It seemed clear, but Akane had been wrong... He could see smoke coming out from the city, like mounds of black death, and the souls of the dead leaving... Akane sighed and looked at Manfread "You see anything yet?" He asked him, a scroll was in his hand, ready to bust out whatever he needed, he had a huge amount of choices to go for... But Akane's own little side mission was to capture the biggest, baddest Automaton in the army. He needed it for his research, and his Railgun puppet.

Howaido arrived bringing up the rear, he noticed Bast had her golems all ready and she was staying back to set up a perfect perimeter. Something was up, it wasnt like she didnt trust his skills in battle. "Ne sensei, doshda? Is there something you want to tell me?" The place did look awful, but Bast was not the type to get fired up or unnerved by something like that. She had something on her mind.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tbpCnapmxDI&feature=relatedThe two who entered the metropolis would be able to see smoke a ways away, but mostly be able to hear screams, cries, but mostly hear explosions through the many towers still left in the metropolis. It seemed the automatons were attacking again. It was mostly an arial assault, with several formations of what appeared to be gliders launching and peppering kunai and explosives on what few defendable positions the military, police, and citizens had left. The team was going to have to hurry if anyone was to survive.
On the ground, still on the other side of the city, ground based automatons were looting once again, hoping to gain precious material for them to be grown from.(post order=travel order)

Manfread glanced over at Akane then said, “I CAN see everything, but its easier to focus on short range vision so I won't miss anyone who tries to ambush us. One doesn't need byakugan to tell this place is Valhalla waiting to happen... Or hell in the case of civilians.”
Manfread grabbed his sword and swung it down in a vertical arc, ready for combat.
“There is sh*t everywhere and I'm the garbage man to take it all out, Fliers in the skys, looks like they launch kunai, the ones on the ground are looting,” Manfread's blood lust was immense, he looked over to Bast and asked, “Civilians there could use a hand. Your orders Boss?”

Bast drew even with Howaido and addressed him after he asked his question. She kept her voice low enough that none of the others would be able to hear, especially with the rush of wind from their running.
"The metropolis is in dire straits," she said. As the two entered the city, the attacks on the area would become apparent. "Take out as many automatons in and on the buildings as possible. When the main force attacks, fall back and guard me."
With her instructions to Howaido completed, she raised her voice.
"Everyone, attack the automatons on the ground and protect the civilians! I'll take care of the airborne threats!" the woman ordered.
Bast formed several hand signs and inhaled as Mononoke drew even with her. The golem held a smoldering ember in front of the woman's mouth to ignite the Daitoppa as it exited Bast's mouth. The woman had pointed the technique upward, and with the increased effect of the attack and the flames that constituted it, the technique would create a large updraft in the atmosphere. The updraft would likely do a good job of pulling in the flying automatons while the heat from the flame caused them to ignite. In addition, the updraft would begin to create storm clouds, which would make flying very dangerous for the automatons and likely interfere with the signals powering them.

Akane looked at Manfread as he listed what was there, all of the sudden the thought past Akane's mind... Flight. Akane was ready for anything, he his puppets, and his bloodline, along with some useful skills, he was ready to burn those bastards to a crisp, or smash them into the ground. Whatever came first. He looked back at Bast when Manfread addressed her, he knew he had to keep up with Manfread, since he was a Taijutsu user, there would be a high chance of speed needed. Luckily Akane had a puppet for that. He waited for orders. When received he looked at Manfread with a grin.

Howaido nodded as he headed towards the city, he was going at a break neck pace much faster than the others,"Hai sensei!" He had his orders and they had theirs,"Dont just laze around, there are innocents in there that need protecting!" He shouted to the Gennin, but not in an intimidating manner, to boost their morale and give them courage. Howaido drew out his katanas as he prepared to engage on sight, rushing towards the city.

Lucas arrived and checked the area. he located the others and made sure that he kept a tab on their position but held back a bit waiting for the genin. he didn't want to get ahead of them and then lose them. he'd been charged with their safety and he wanted to make sure that they stayed safe.

“Yes! Come on Akane we have ground to cover so hall a** or I won't leave you any follow me,” Manfread said charging down the streets with amazing speed for a genin. Closing in on the nearest group of automatons Manfread would smash his sword into one and if it he hit the vertical slash would most likely wrench the tin can. He eyed the Automatons for weaknesses like he did the last time he encountered them one year ago but continued to hack away ready to dodge any retaliation.

Akane grinned as Manfread spoke, they were both ready for this. When Manfread charged down the street, Akane made a handsign "Kuchiyose Kugutsu: Ichi, Menei!" In a poof of smoke a puppet with a huge saw blade around it appeared, it's long arms almost hitting the ground from where it stood. Akane connected his string to the machine and made it's gears shift and turn, the machine making a area for someone to sit in between the blade on the chest of the puppet. He sat down then tweak one of his fingers, the blade sat on the ground and like the start of a saw, it began to spin, shooting dirt behind him, then with a burst of speed shot forwards the blade spinning so fast until he reached the Automatons looting the streets. He pushed out his index fingers, the arms of the puppet sticking out, the blades showing. He began to clossline, decapitate, slice and destroy the robots by riding down streets, keeping close to Manfread.

In all of his haste, Manny had forgotten about what had happened last time he was at this beach. A single hunkered down civilian jumped up screaming "NOOOO dont step..." and was hit directly in the eye by a straffing glider. As he struck the Automaton, crushing it to pieces, a land mind would explode sending the whole group away. It was thankfully an IED and not a military grade landmine or claymore, thus breaking apart the automatons but leaving light burns on Manny around his legs. It seemed they had a problem: The beaches where booby trapped....
Basts Brunign technique created a fire so massive it was forming a large updraft, but also giving away the positions of the remaining crew. In what seemed expert flight maneuvering, 3 formations of gliders (15) cmae in on a straffing run, shooting an exploding kunai every 3rd one. They got off several seconds of rounds before getting sent into a tubulant flight, breaking up and falling for the gennin in Lucas's control.

As soon as she saw the incoming projectiles, Bast formed another seal and activated the Wind Levitation Technique (E-Ranked, +5 ranks with retraining) and sent several of the Kunai directly upward in to the atmosphere on a strong updraft, all while maintaining her Daitoppa. While the rest of the projectiles came in, the Princess lifted a large chunk of fallen building and held it up to defend against the incoming weapons.
Meanwhile, Mononoke was flickering through the nearest building with her incredible speed, and was busy rescuing the civilians therein while stealing the nails, bolts, and bars that held the automatons and their receivers together. She focused on the joints of the machines, and if there were more than one or two people in a room, she would also steal wires to prevent the transmission of signals.
