"Just. Fine. Don't worry about me," mumbled Shun as he still sounded incredibly unpleased. The scent kind of made him sick and he didn't even have a sensitive nose. That aside, he was still a bit traumatized from... what happened down there. His movements were somewhat stiff from the whole ordeal and the look on his face was a bit more intense than usual.
"Let's just move on," he hissed while walking past the others, not introducing himself to the new girl or anything of the sort.
It was at least, relieving to see that Mitsu didn't have to go through that. But his mood was pretty foul right now.
Judging the girls in the area, he was the only one that had the misfortune of experiencing that little piece of hell.

[[Hallway]] Muka was riveted by the little nature spirit. He clutched his own taloned hands and stood, unblinking, in rapt attention. "Owl! Yes! I am a strix!" His voice was high pitched in his excitement. He was curious about Vero. Why did he refer to himself in terms of 'we' and 'us'? "Remember Mr. Vero.." He patted the insect on the head with his ever present grin. "While here, we are not in our true forms." Muka may have looked like a boil now but it was not his preferred form at all/. He let out a giggle and extended his long arms and wings behind the whole group. He was urging them forward down the glitter splattered halls. The rainbows still trailed over the ceiling and once again the sound of joyous baby's laughter started to pump into the hallway. He shuddered, hating the noise, and then one of the pictures on the wall slid away revealing a screen behind it that played a video on loop. "Let's keep moving!!"

Oh jack. That smell. The horrible perfume odor was so intense that Cuinn could hardly breathe. Like the others who had been grabbed, he was slightly disoriented for a moment. He even had a few kisses stained into his skin like battle scars. It took him a couple of seconds for the cu sith to overcome his initial shock. When he finally did, he scrambled back up the staircase on all fours, not bothering to wait for Rykier. He was getting out of there. The dog boy was still shaken from being buried in those evil balls. It would take him a while yet before he completely recovered.
He was going to find the haunt that owned this house. Cuinn marked this place as “incredibly dangerous” in his mind, and he wanted to warn the creep that lived here of the evil creature lurking in the magical ball pit. Then they could escape together before anything else insane happened. For now, his sense of good manners prevented him from leaving this home until he at least met his host. Cuinn was a little frightened, yes, but he would remain here for now.
Keep moving, moving, moving. Cuinn had stopped paying attention to where he was headed. He was putting as much distance as possible between himself and the ground floor. When he was safe, he would stop to think. Thanks to his carelessness, he bumped straight into Shun. “Oof!” The force of the impact forced Cuinn into a sitting position. After muttering a hasty apology he glanced up at the stranger who had blocked his way. He recognized the boil as a fellow victim of the ball pit. Jumping to his feet, Cuinn took Shun by the shoulders. “Did you see what was down there?”
He was clearly a tiny bit traumatized after what had happened.

((Hallway)) ((Just putting up the links for personal reference in this post so I can refer back to it and don't forget : x *will edit it once she finds them all*)) Adapting to the change in language at the introductions, Levia shifted to a more polite tone, "A pleasure to meet you, miss Merry." Then back again, "And to you, Vero." A pause, then, "The kittens exploded?" The grombie rather liked kittens. They were curious creatures like herself and she often could observe them exploring, when they weren't napping. She never could figure out that strange, compelling allure to pick them up and pet them. Glitter she wasn't so sure about. Noting at how the others, apparently victim to these kitties, sparkled just so, Levia gave a mental sigh of relief that she had not been subjected to that particular horror. Sparkles simply wasn't something she had become accustomed to, and as such she had a preference of enjoying the view from a distance rather than being coated by it. Their expressions at their new, radiant, appearances would have been amusing, had the glitter not been so unpleasant to begin with. Hearing the prompt of the giggling strix, Levia edged warily around the alarming video clip, her own red eyes narrowed in focus. A part of her was intent on discovering how each contraption worked, which in turn made her forget to find this particular hall of the horror house as terrifying as it should have been. Her survival instincts were, while not non-existent, apparently somewhat skewed. Remembering her initial thoughts on entering the hallway, Levia tried to peer ahead, "How far down do you think this path goes? I didn't think to bring a lunch." Brains sounded rather delectable, but she already had breakfast so hunger was of no immediate concern for her at the moment.

Art took the gesture very kindly, and walked beside the were-tiger, feeling some acceptance from the anonymous boil. But, he thought they could already be friends. The Tattoo Demon coughed a bit, sending some of the pink sparkles in the air into a swirling little cloud. Ick. He hoped that the undead boil's strategy would work.
Walking backwards, Artemis decided to strike up a conversation with his new feline friend. "Thanks for the welcome. Name's Art, I'm a Tattoo Demon. If you ever need anything done, call me." Shameless plug? Yes. Why not? After all, any business helped. Plus, he could always get inspiration from others. He sighed, looking at this tattoos. He wished he could get sleeves to cover them, but tradition and pride and all that jazz...
"What, your name?"

Faint sneered at his canine companion good-naturedly. He was covered in glitter, yes, yes he was, but so was Damien. Even if he'd rubbed some of it off. "You practically glow in the dark, pup." He returned, bumping the boil's shoulder with his fist softly.
When the demon turned around to talk to him, he grinned slightly. "I've already got a bit of natural tattooing, actually." He lifted his arm and brushed off the glitter as best he could to reveal the light tiger markings that littered his skin. A tattoo demon was interesting though. He couldn't say he'd ever run into one. It didn't help that his mother would probably highly disapprove. "Thanks for the offer though. My name's Faint."

((Hallway)) Riley didn't honestly care if Merope wanted her tentacles or not. She was almost certain she was going to have to cut them off when the festival was over. One of them opened at the tip, and looked as though it was coughing out a tiny, glittery ball.
Merope's mention of an idea, regardless of how hesitant he may have sounded, was like music to her ears. The others in the group had already asked him to elaborate, so she wasted no further time by chiming in, but it was clear by the excited glow in her eyes, and the way she clutched his arm firmly, that he had her full attention.

(( Vero's is here, but there's stuff I have to update like his revamped species (attempting to find a good name for elemental spirits of nature), natural ability, etc. ))
((Hallway))
Mooka's shriek of excitement startled the the little spirit, though his energy almost was contagious: Vero grew a little excitable and inwardly congratulated itself for its good deductive reasoning - even if it had to sift through quite a few other possibilities to arrive at the conclusion.
Still, it had been fun, and it was glad the strix did not mind its need to ramble to arrive at the truth.
Though it did have to blink at being called "Mr. Vero". While purportedly genderless (or rather, gender-mixed to be precise), it found the gender specific Mr. to be more appropriate than a Ms. Possibly because at best Vero was a drone and not a queen in any fashion.
"Yes, the kittens exploded," Vero responded to Levia. "And we would prefer not to consider what would happen if we stay either; more might come." Plus it needed to write down information about the strix before it lost its chance!
And then, as if to make sure they all arrived at that conclusion, the awful video of the all too cute bear-thing creature began looping - and with each loud sneeze, the spirit recoiled. "Let us be away, please," it mumbled, taking back Natalia's hand as well as Levia's - and then his two stunted arms wriggled from the cloak to try and grasp Mooka's and the ghoul demon's hands as well.
It couldn't grab Merry's with only four hands available, but it imagined the chimera got the gist of it.
Safety in numbers. Always safety in numbers. It could hear the others up ahead in the hallway.
Its pen and pad had been stashed away in a small satchel at its hip for now.

Stuck in a glittered filled room, Zeke watched all the other students continue their path down the hallway again. Curious, no one knows where they are headed, or what lies ahead, but the students keep going. What's at the end of this here house anyway? Zeke walked up to one of the walls of the hallway and stared at the glitter. Hm... He took out his index finger, pointed it at the wall and touched it very gently with the very tip of his finger. Glitter clung to him immediately.
"Yuck!" cried Zeke as he frantically tried wiping the glitter off his finger. The glitter wouldn't come off, but instead only smeared onto his clothes as well. "Oh, for cryin' out loud!" Through all this fuss, he accidentally bumped his back into the other wall, glitter clung all over the back side of his favorite black vest. Zeke froze... He furrowed his eyebrows and his mouth stretched dis-pleasingly across his face. He slowly and silently peeled himself from the wall. With stiff arms swinging beside him, he continued to walk down the hallway once again, like nothing happened.

((Staircase)) As he was walking off, Shun felt someone bump into him causing him to quickly turn around. He looked as if he was ready to attack whatever it was, in the case his previous assailant had decided to try and come back from him. When he saw that it was just one of the other victims, he relaxed just a bit. "Watch it," he uttered sharply. Before he could really say much else, his eyes widened while the other student took him by the shoulders all of the sudden. Twitching as he didn't really want to think about what had just occurred, the Reaper brought up his hands to sort of brush the guy off. He didn't see a skull pin on this person, so he could only assume he was a visitor. That didn't matter much to him, though. "No. I couldn't. And I'd rather not think too much on the matter right now," he murmured.

Now that he had their attention, Merope couldn’t help but to stick his tongue out at Damien. A glittering, neon-blue tongue to be exact. “Oh ha ha, rub it in,” he grumbled. If he was merely coughing it up now, he didn’t want to even consider what would happen to him later.
But enough of that. “Well, see,” he began, stopping. He ran his hand down Riley’s arm and held up his hand. “See? I still have glitter. But --” he reached out with his other hand and snagged the furry wristband on Damian’s arm, shuddering and snatching his hand away as quickly as he could. “Look! Not as much glitter. If -” he broke off, fins clamping tightly against his back. “If we find something... fluffy and f-f-furry enough to...”
He broke off, waving his hands around in vague gestures. They could be interpreted as rather lewd. “You know,” he added unhelpfully, “Touch it? Use it like a towel? Cuddle? That sort of gross thing? Anyway, I think it’d get it off. It’s just a matter of-”
Merope didn’t get a chance to finish that sentence as the wall behind him slid away. A bright yellow teddy bear popped out and snatched the undead boil in a great big bearhug, squeezing him as it hummed a jangly little tune. Or it would be a jangly little tune if anyone could hear it. Merope was too busy shouting and panicking to listen to it, each word he shouting resulting in a puff of glitter. How much glitter got in him, anyway?!

Riley watched as Merope demonstrated the difference between touching her arm, and touching something fluffy. This hypothesis that he was creating meshed well with the way Demi's tail managed to brush against Riley earlier, clearing away a great deal of the plague of glitter that had coated her tentacle. It hadn't truly eliminated the problem, however - so the plan was not perfect.
The plan also had little time for consideration, since Merope looked a little too busy being attacked by a gigantic eye-searing monstrosity to elaborate.
Though, it did not escape Riley to notice that they had just stumbled upon something big and fluffy.
As the bear wrapped it's arms around poor Merope, Riley wrapped her claws around one of the arms, and used it as leverage to climb up the beast. When she was perched against the crook of it's arm, she hopped up to it's shoulder, and attempted to find some sort of way to disable it.
Or she would rip it's head off. She was pretty sure that would do it, too.
Hold on, Merope. Don't struggle, it might make him squeeze tighter. She knew Merope could survive it, but she really didn't want to see her friend's body snap in half.

[ Staircase ] Cuinn’s senses were slowly but surely coming back to him. It was not so much the surprise of being snatched and pulled that had shaken him, but the strikingly familiar sensation of being buried alive by the balls. Now that he was back in open air, he was calming down. “S-sorry!” the canine muttered. His ears drooped and his tail slipped in between his legs. Hastily he removed his hands from Shun’s shoulders and tucked them into his pockets. He had been scared by a silly festival trick and had completely lost his composure. How humiliating. ”Sorry. I couldn’t see anything at all down there. I guess it was the same for everyone…” The Reaper seemed really annoyed. Cuinn did not know what else to say. Awkward, awkward, awkward. Part of him wanted to go home now and forget all of this had ever happened. Unfortunately, he could not leave this Haunted House. Not yet. Simply running away from Shun would be a bit weird, too. ”I, uh…” Awkwardly, he offered Shun a hand to shake. “The name’s Cuinn. I’m a cu sith.” Small talk, huh? It was the best the dog boil could manage. “You’re a student here, right? Did you come to the festival alone?” In Cuinn’s mind, students from Amytiville or other Halloween Town schools were surrounded by tons of friends all of the time… Were these ghouls standing around his?

((Stairs)) Once the Cu sith had released him, Shun relaxed somewhat once more. At the moment he mainly didn't really want to be touched by anyone. Not after that happened. Ugh. It was probably a good thing he had actually blacked out a little bit while down there, but he really hoped he wouldn't end up with mold or anything like that. That would not be pleasant at all, and how the hell was he supposed to explain that? Shuddering and grimacing at the thought, he snapped out of it as the visiting student began to ask him a number of questions, as well as introducing himself. His gaze shifted down to the offered hand and he had to hesitate on actually shaking it. Somewhat reluctantly, he took it. "Name's Shun," he said lowly, "Student.. yes. Came with Mitsu there." His dark eyes flitted over towards the white haired canine nearby. While he knew Xiu as well, he technically didn't come here with her. Poke, he barely even knew to begin with. Letting out a sigh, he supposed he should follow up with some sort of question as well, though he didn't want to just stand around. Walking and talking was possible. "I take it you're just thinking of enrolling."

One moment Ren had been attempting (unsuccessfully) to fling himself towards his little brother, the next he had been dragged underneath, into the pit of jingling, scented...er, balls.
At first it was just dark, no way to see anywhere, and Ren flailed around a bit, his wings pumping to propel himself out of it, but no such luck. And just when he was starting to panic for real, the plastic objects around him began to shudder and twist, the quiet tinkling sound growing louder and louder until it was almost a shrill shrieking noise. Then -
Poof.
Ren found himself quiet unceremoniously sprawled on the now empty floor of the haunted house. He lay there for a brief second, attempting to figure out just what the Jack had happened, but once his eyes had adjusted to the light again (or sort of light, rather), he pushed himself upwards into a sitting position.
And it was then than Ren noticed something very, very disturbing.
"WHAT THE JACK - "
There were things all up and down his freckled arms, across the backs of his hands - and Ren didn't even want to know how many were on his face. He sat there looking with horror at the neon pink of the lipstick marks, wondering just what the Jack had been in that ball pit with them.
A voice caught his attention, and Ren glanced up, one ear flickering towards the small, black and red haired boil standing beside him. He did not recognize him, but he had three tails like Jove's friend, which Ren assumed meant he was a kitsune like her.
"Oh," he said, and reached up a hand, grasping the offered one to haul himself to his feet. Dusting his jeans off, he flashed the boil a grateful smile. "Thanks, man."
Except now that he was free, where was -
"JOOOOOVVVEEEE ARE YOU HEEERRREEEEEEEE - "
