Boothe harshly cleared his throat. "Bol'no kak suka." he said in Russian. Sebastian sighed. "He said it hurts like a b*tch." he clarified. He held onto the reigns of the black horse, leading it into the forest. Mainly Sebastian kept his stare at the ground to watch where he was stepping, occasionally glancing up at what was ahead.
Valik nodded. He took off his jacket, now leaving the white button up shirt that was still revealing his sculpted torso. He could feel that his muscles in his whole body, mainly arms and legs, were stronger. To him it was a feeling of relief. He felt as if he could protect them better than before now. A slight breeze came in, hinting a storm will be arriving. The breeze cooled his sweaty body. "By mid afternoon we'll be in a storm." he said, acknowledging the wind.

Selia nodded sympathetically, and stared ahead into the woods. She focused on something that looked like a neko falcon girl. Her legs gleamed like metal, and so did under her wings. Stopping abruptly, Selia reached for her bow and quiver, quickly notching an arrow in place and aiming. The bird girl watching intently, then screeched, spreading its wings. "Sebastian... I don't think that's a normal neko girl..." She said, about to release the arrow, but before she could another one of the neko girls thrust a knife into her thigh as she rushed by behind them. Turning back and smiling innocently, the girl blurred by again, almost as fast as Sebastian. She appeared by the original girl Selia had seen, and laughed, showing rows of razor like teeth.
Ryan nodded. "This is going to be one interesting trip." He stared at the clouds and sighed. Looking back at Valik, Ryan smirked. "I wish I could tell what Selia was thinking, running off like that. And she needs to cover that tattoo of hers... people might start getting suspicious."

Valik nodded. "We wouldn't want other travelers to get the wrong idea." he agreed. Suddenly his ear twitched. He stood up in alert, looking around. With a sudden roar he was in his black were form and running after them, leaving Ryan. Maybe he'll catch on..
Sebastian smacked at Boothe's horse. It sped off with a neigh towards what was left of the ruined village. Boothe grunted at the painful bobbing of the horse. He called for Valik. Sebastian quickly took out his curved elven daggers. He then sped after the strange creature that had stabbed Selia. He violently threw a dagger when coming up behind her. He aimed at the connecting part of the wings on her back.

Ryan gave a slight shake of his head and sped after Valik, knowing whatever he heard couldn't be a good thing. Adrenalin had been keeping Ryan going for a while now, and it was once against pulsing through his veins.
Staggering off her horse, Selia reloaded her bow and let the arrow fly. It stuck just below where Sebastian aimed. Tearing the knife out of her leg, Selia dashed to the two neko's and stood, prepared for them to fight back.

The neko that Sebastian had aimed for suddenly turned and stopped short. It's black eyes gave a devilish look to him, threatening death. Selia's arrow pierced just next to her spine. She bent down suddenly with a cry that pierced their ears. With a growl she took out the arrow and threw it to the ground. She turned to lunge at Sebastian, slowly walking to him with glaring eyes. Suddenly, a giant black wolf jumped from the bushes and landed onto the neko. Both fell hard to the soggy ground. Valik rolled off, but quickly got back on all fours. He snapped at the neko. The neko girl jumped to it's feet and stared him down, deciding whether or not to fight or flee. Sebastian had fallen to the floor, now sitting against a tree trunk, frantically watching. Valik and the neko walked in circles, never taking their eyes off each other. Finally, the neko lunged at Valik. With a loud roar, Valik charged and they clashed, sending the neko to slam into a tree trunk. She squealed as she charged once more, but Valik rose his giant paw and slammed her down to the ground. Again he roared and sank his teeth into each side of her back, now carrying her struggling body with his wide set jaw. He shook his head and sank his teeth in deeper, and after a few seconds she stopped moving, lifelessly hanging from his razor teeth.

Selia slammed herself against a tree and watched, jaw hanging open and her eyes wide with shock. She didn't breath, only watched. Glancing at Sebastian, Selia ducked. Valik had flung the neko girl towards her, missing Selia by inches. Somehow Selia ended up crashing into Sebastian and slipping down the steep drop on his other side. Ryan ran into the scene as Valik was shaking the body of the girl, blood spraying across his face. His eye's flashed red, but Ryan quickly regained control over himself. Wiping the back of his hand over his face, Ryan dashed over to where he had just seen Selia and Sebastian tumble down the drop.

Valik let the body drop to the ground. He looked up teasingly at the other neko who was sitting on a branch, staring in awe at him. Adrenaline and power rushed through him, making him hungry for another kill. Drool dripped from his black lips as he watched the neko. He growled because of how impatient he was becoming. The neko squawked and flew away. Valik huffed as he walked over to the neko body. He looked at the group for a moment, then took the neko by the leg and dragged it into the bushes for a meal. Sebastian gulped as he slowly stood. He whistled for Boothe's horse, and within a few minutes it came trotting back, with Boothe lazily hanging his head as it bobbed. "Where's my brother?" he slurred. Sebastian looked at Ryan, then Selia, with a worried look pleading for help. "Um, he's taking a bathroom break." he lied. "Is every one okay?" he asked. Sebastian nodded. "Don't worry, Boothe. We're all okay." he assured him with a small frown.

Selia grabbed hold of a tree and pulled herself up, rubbing her side as she went. "Yeah everything's fine." She said, her words slurred. Attempting to walk over to Ryan's extended hand, Selia staggered and fell again, landing in a pile of leaves almost up to her waist. She laughed, knowing it wasn't the time for such silliness but couldn't help it. Her head spun, her leg was bleeding heavily, and she had just stumbled into a stash of leaves she had completely overlooked. To her, it was the perfectly hilarious thing. All she wanted now was to sleep in the soft colors that now surrounded her. "I think we should camp here." Selia mumbled after her outburst had ended, turning over and bringing her knees to her chest. "It feels safe. And warm." Selia realized how much of a child she sounded, but really didn't mind. And then realized how cold it was. She shivered, ruffling the leaves she lay on. "Well, maybe not warm." Selia let her eyes close as she smiled.
Ryan jumped down as Selia fell, rolling his eyes at her child like laughter. Hitting her lightly on the shoulder as he walked past where she was practically falling asleep, he shot a look at Sebastian and Boothe. "Even if Selia hit her head on that tree and is losing her mind, I agree. It seems like a good place to camp. We have the wall over here to protect us so we only have to look one way, and all these trees offer good protection." Ryan said, sitting on the forest ground and leaning back on his elbows.

Sebastian argued at first. "They know where we are now." he said. After listening to Ryan, a few moments passed before he finally said something. "Okay, fine." he sighed as he made his way to Selia. "Let me see your leg." he said, not looking directly at her. He tore another piece from his shirt and waited. Boothe shifted. "It shouldn't take this long." he complained silently. Then there was a rustle in the bushes, and Sebastian prayed that Valik was in his human form. Valik came from the bushes in human flesh. He had heard his brother talking when he arrived. With his jacket sleeve, he wiped his mouth to make sure there wasn't any blood on his lips. He then made his way over to his brother to help him from the horse. "I can stay up tonight to watch," he said as he pulled Boothe down. Both Sebastian and Boothe opened their mouth to argue, but Valik shook his head and cut them off. "No arguing." he said forcefully. Sebastian noticed that Valik was keeping his eyes low. Since Sebastian was kneeling down, he looked up at Valik and saw crazy, hungry red and black eyes. Valik didn't turn from Sebastian until Boothe was ready to walk. Once Boothe was settled onto a pile of bright green vines and leaves, Valik tied up the horse to a trunk of an old tree. "Make sure you tie up yours, Ryan." he said. He patted the horse then walked over to Sebastian and Selia. "Are you okay?" he asked her, looking into her eyes, forgetting how wild his eyes were after transformation.

Selia mumbled something and sat up, tearing a wide hole in her leggings so Sebastian could examine the wound easier. Her eyes widened at the sight of Valik's, but she stayed silent and kept her eyes locked with his. "I think it was just a normal knife. Nothing hurts more then a usual cut." Her hand covered the wound momentarily, and she tore her gaze away from Valik's to look at Sebastian. "Are you okay Sebastian?" Selia's eyes were wide with concern and worry, and she unconsciously covered her intricate crescent moon tattoo. She wanted to reach out and take his hand, but decided against it.
Ryan nodded and tied up his horse as well, and sat next to Boothe. "You look like something is generally irratataing you." He said in a low whisper so only Boothe could hear. He never took his gaze off Sebastian, Selia, and Valik. "And I'm thinking you're brother is going after Selia." He said, laughing silently to himself. It must be hard, being the only girl here.

Boothe chuckled. "Is that so?" he looked up at his brother and Selia. "He's never gone for any girl before, you know. Not since-" he cut off, shaking his head. "Agh, I'm such a rambler." he laughed again with a small, forceful smile. Valik smirked and let out a breathy laugh as Sebastian examined it and lightly glided his forefinger on the wound. Sebastian shook his head. "That was no average knife." he mumbled. Speaking louder, he still didn't make eye contact with her. "The knife had some sort of poison in it. Though it won't be too harmful. This poison is made to make the victim unconscious and loopy, so you may or may not knock out, depending on your body's tolerance." he paused in thought. "You'll likely only get a bit loopy. She didn't get you too deep." he said as a green glow escaped his fingers as he began working at the wound. Valik nodded, listening to Sebastian. Suddenly a pained look spread across Valik's face and he clutched his chest. He fell to the ground, trying to keep himself up with his free hand, struggling to keep his eyes open. He let out a yell and gritted his teeth. Sebastian stood up in alert. "Valik!" he yelled as he reached for him. Valik's eyes flashed from his normal eyes to the black and red, and he screamed again. Suddenly he began coughing up blood. Blood dripped from his lips as his veins turned from the human blue to black. Then he fell face first to the ground, unconscious and not breathing. Boothe forced himself upward, beginning to run for his brother, only to fall due to his leg. He reached for his lifeless brother, sobbing. "Valik! No!" he screamed. He crawled towards his brother, only making it a few inches farther before he broke down in tears, choking out Valik's name.

Selia and Ryan reached Valik at the same time, both falling to their knees. Ryan turned him over and began compression's, forcing more blood up. "Breath dammit!" He hissed between his teeth, feeling the work begin to take its toll. 30, 40, 50, and still nothing. Only more blood. His hands were soaked in it. Wiping it away with from Valik's face and nose with his arm, he quickly looked up at Sebastian. "What's happening?" He said calmly and quietly, knowing if someone over reacted that something would go wrong, making the situation worse then it already was. He kept a steady tempo with his compression's, sweat beginning to drip down the back of his neck and shoulders.
Selia turned to Sebastian, grabbing his wrist and pulling him down to Valik as well. "What's happening!?" She nearly screamed, but forced herself to stay somewhat calm. Stopping short on her question, her eyes widening with realization. "It's the neko blood. It wasn't natural. It's also mechanical." Selia whispered, releasing Sebastian's wrist. Gripping Ryans forearms, she pushed him away with simplistic force, and opened Valik's mouth. "So we have to get rid of the neko blood." Selia whispered, and she forced Valik to vomit. Her slender fingers easily reached down his throat and acted up his gag reflex.

Sebastian shook his head as he collapsed to the soggy ground next to Valik's body. Valik still lay motionless, even when Selia tried to force him to vomit. Sebastian's jaw clenched as he lifted Valik's head in his arms. He looked at his discolored veins and studied him carefully. Suddenly tears came to his eyes. Sebastian shook his head slowly. In response, Boothe let out a louder cry as he forced his body to his brother's. "Valik!" he choked out. He clenched Valik's chest. Boothe let his head drop to the forest floor. Sebastian felt Valik's forehead. He let his hand drop and once again shook his head. "He's gone." he said quietly as tears fell. He kissed Valik's forehead then stood, and turned away from them. Sebastian punched a thick trunk angrily and blood immediately flooded from his knuckles. He bent his knees and sobbed into his hands, blood covering his already dirty face. He cursed loudly and angrily. "This isn't right." he growled. He removed his head from his hands, showing his agitated red eyes, dirty, tired face, and bloody hand. He looked behind him, seeing Boothe sobbing hysterically, gasping for air. Sebastian felt like the world was spinning at the speed of light suddenly. He frantically looked around, as if looking for something precious he had lost. Then he sped off back to his shack to ransack his own home for something he had never been able to find; though now he was determined.

A small choke escaped Selia as she began to sob, tearing flowing hysterically down her cheeks and landing softly on Valiks neck. Ryan attempted to move her from Valik's body, but stopped when he saw the slight red glow in Selia's cascading tears. Selia sobbed harder, letting herself fall forward onto Valik's still body. Her fingers wound through his, warming up the chilling flesh as her tears ran down her face more rapidly. Red seeped into his hand, and spread through his arm, as did Selia's. She gasped through her tears but continued to sob, growing closer to hysteria as the seconds without Valik and Sebastian passed.
Ryan stared in awe, silent tears streaming down his dirty face. "Boothe. Look." He whispered, staring at the odd glow forming between the two intertwined elves before him.

Boothe raised his dirt covered face. He squinted his eyes in attempt to see through the tears. "What are you doing, Selia?" he said hoarsely. He looked frantically at his brother's body, still clenching at his chest. Before he could call for Sebastian, he realized he had zoomed off. The red glow was now making Valik's chilled body gloom. Boothe gulped hard, waiting for something to happen, in hopes for a miracle. "What are you doing?" he repeated, his voice raised. He pulled himself closer to his brother, now face to face with him.
