Sain

Ladies how about a lovely dinner?

"I'M SORRY! I'M SORRY!" Sain said very quickly. "It's just that I just stumbled around here about an hour ago. I'm still very lost and confused. I've never seen anything like you. Men with wings just aren't around in Elibe. You must be a strong one too." Sain was doing all he could not to get torn to shreds. He was sure that this man could do that.

Saifer Griimro

Knowing the situation was about to explode when the knight opened his mouth, Saifer seriously considered just sneaking away from it all even though he had not angered the freakish bird-human hybrid. It was frightening, really, to see the reaction the creature was having to the words Saifer himself had always wanted to utter to those sub-human things he'd never seen or heard of until coming to Learania. Fortunately, the hawk-man, amidst his furious hailstorm of words, seemed to answer this question with the term 'laguz', though Saifer had no idea what exactly 'laguz' was supposed to denote. That is, if it extended to all animal-men or was specifically set aside for the bird-people or something. Needless to say, he wouldn't be tossing the term around casually.

Thankfully for the man, the bird-human's attention was diverted by some blonde, which apparently had been the creature's target. Apparently, the woman had been injured in the battle of Eyris and was being cared for by the easily-ruffled 'laguz'. Assuming that were the case, the rest of the conversation was easy enough to keep up with, though the relationship between the two remained questionable. He couldn't imagine they were lovers due to the race and apparent age difference, though Saifer couldn't really know for certain if a relationship like that would be taboo or not in this world.

At this point glad to see the bird-man's attention diverted away from the table, Saifer had relaxed a little bit and just paid attention to the conversation. However, the most interesting tidbit came next - the knight person was from Elibe. Understandably, he was surprised to hear the name of that particular continent spoken aloud in this land As such, the thief couldn't stop himself from blurting out,"What, Elibe?!"

Startled by the sound of his own voice (and not to mention how high-pitched it had unintentionally come out thanks to his surprise), Saifer covered his mouth with a gloved hand in an embarrassed motion before looking at Sain expectantly, somewhat eager to see if the person had any answers. Or at least a comment to Saifer's awkward reaction.

x - [Leon] - x

User Image"Hey now, she's a grown woman in a crew's position!" Leon argued back at Tibarn, showing real steel to stand up to him. "Why can't 'Melia go and decide for herself whether or not she's ready to get back to work, huh? I get it that yer concerned, and so am I, but I'm not about to go an' step on someone's free will..." he trailed off, but he was about to sit back and return to his paperwork when Amelia seemed to agree that she needed to go back. It was her decision to rest too, after all.

But when Tibarn raised his voice to Sain, something inside Leon snapped. He stood up, staring the hawk king right in the face. "Tibarn! I dun' care who ya are or what kinda authority ya have! No one, and I mean no one talks to my subordinates that way, ya hear?! There are worse things that sir Sain coulda said on purpose, but this was an honest accident!" the Captain exclaimed indignantly. "Let it go, an' dun snap at him again! Understood?"

Either he was going to be torn apart, or he would get the result he wanted, which was the hawk leaving his presence. Hopefully it wouldn't be the latter, but it was too late to take back his words now. They had already been said and Leon didn't regret them, even if it was a shame that Vah and Amelia had to see him angry. He didn't take note of Saifer's sudden blurting out of his homeland's name, but at the moment, Captain Vatara wasn't thinking about that. If he was still in one piece later, he'd probably ask about it casually.

D'Rias
Location: Eyris

D'Rias stopped and listened carefully to the flurry of exchanges that happened at the booth. His gloved hands were folded behind him as his red eyes simply veiwed the scene before him, as if he was watching a gardner water his plants. At first the giant man with wings had come as a shock, but then again so had stumbling through a common prison door out into a busy market street, so the mage made sure to calm his breathing and focus on what the people were saying. It became clear that green knight was confused about the man's appearance as well. A fact that did not seem to sit well with the winged man. The words "Elibe" and "Laguz" were snatched up as they passed by. The Shaman hardly knew what they meant but it seemed the taller man had reffered to himself as Laguz, while Elibe was the green knights homeland, as well as something important to boy close by judging by his shocked reaction. Next Tibarn, for that appeared to be the the winged man's name, turned his attention to the blonde soldier nearby, berating her for risking tearing her side open. No doubt a very real risk judging by how much she leaned on the non-weakened side of her body.

There was no telling how much of this observed information was useful or not but it certainly could not hurt given his current situation. Bringing attention to himself now would only probably anger either Tibarn, or the purple armoured gaurd now glaring him right in the eye. The mage shifted his feet slightly, the din of the market all around him had lessened slightly as people stopped to watch the unfolding argument. Most likely hoped it would not break out into a fight, a few no doubt waited for it to.

Lloyd and Trinity

Lloyd and Trinity watched as some people began to head toward a stand. As their curiosity got the better of them, the two Black Fang headed toward the group. Lloyd was shocked to see a tall man with brown hair and on his back were a pair of wings. The man looked tense as if he was about to yell at another man with him. A younger girl stood nearby obviously hurt. Trinity caught sight of the man and grabbed Llyods arm and gasped.
"Master Lloyd! What... what is that?"
Lloyd though for a moment but drew a blank. In Elibe there were legends of humanoids called manakete who could turn into dragons but there were no legends or myths about humans with avian wings.
"I do not know. But I wish I did. I have never seen anything like him before."
Behind the two, Helios shuffled nervously, picking up on the nervousness of his master and her leader.

Lance smiled at the newfound interest in the bowman's eyes. "I appreciate the offer. I do have that taken care of already, but if you do want to help with it, I won't stop you."

He then turned to the other people in the group. "I'm really excited about you all, really. If you're able to, I would really like to you to just follow me to the headquarters, just so we can finalize any paperwork. I also need to get you settled in with some rules and information that I need to go over with you personally. Although, if you still want to visit other booths, you can just come along at a later time. The doors to our company is always open, after all."

"...and every scar has its story."

→ [ALTRUSTIC HERO] ←

Derrin shifted awkwardly as the small Hero complimented him, "D-Dashing?" He thought as that familer blush rose to his cheeks. Blossom took advantage of his momentary confusion to skip away to the counter intending to pay for his clothes. The Mage quickly chased after her, leaving his clothes behind he caught up with her at the counter.

"You aren't paying for those." He said simply.

Blossom turned around at the counter, already opening up the little coinpurse she kept in her bag. She stared at him, befuddled, before simply removing a small amount of gold-colored coins, keeping them in her palm as she watched him and waited for some other response. When none came, the Hero spoke up in response, putting the coinpurse down on the counter. "Why not? I'm offering. It's a gift. Is that a bad thing?" She tilted her head slightly to the side, not putting her money down.

Derrin puffed up a little bit at her mention of giving him a gift. "I-I don't need a gift, I'm fine I can pay for this myself... besides if anyone should pay for something... I mean I... I hurt you... during..." He trailed off falling silent as his eyes looked everywhere but at her.

Blossom put down the coins on the countertop and rested her hand gently against his arm, near the inside of his elbow. Even her brow furrowed in concern, she smiled encouragingly up at him, clearing her throat in the hope that it would make him look back at her. "It's fine. Really. I understand. Jaren's important to you, right? And you'll do what it takes to knock some sense into him. Besides, I heal fast. It's fine, all right?" Her smile warmed and she nudged his shoulder gently. "So stop acting so depressed and let me do something nice."

Derrin flinched back when she touched his arm, taking a small step away from her as if he was afraid her simply touching him would contaminate her. However when she cleared her throat it had the desired effect of causing him to meet her gaze. "No it's not all right, what I did to you was inexcusable, I'll never be able to forget it. I'm sorry Blossom. Please. Let me pay for my own things." Again when she went to nudge him he danced out of her reach, her warm smile only seemed to spook him more rather then thaw the ice off.

Her smile sank down into a concerned frown at his skittish responses, not disappearing as he avoided her touch entirely. She watched him for a moment, then took her coins off of the counter, tucking her cloth purse back into her bag. "...If you're so certain," she murmured, keeping her eyes on him as she used her free hand to smooth her vest out over her front. The Hero waited until he was at the counter, paying for his new clothes, to reach around from behind him and sneakily slip her money into Derrin's bag, where hopefully he wouldn't notice it until it was too late.

"Anyway!" Blossom said, chirpy again, after taking a few steps away from him. She folded her arms behind her back and beamed at him as if he hadn't just gotten through a brief period of inexplicable regret. "We still have to get to the fair!"

"I-I am certain" He said as he stepped closer to the counter, dropping coins of his own onto it. "I don't need the old clothes anymore, you can use them for thread." He had no intention of carrying the old rags all the way back home, buisness concluded he turned around to face Blossom again, never noticing her sneaky actions. Of course she was chipper as always and now they were going to go to the fair together.

"Wait... what?"

Blossom giggled, looking more amused than anything else at his apparent confusion. "The fair. The Job fair. Lots of different places have stands out right now to try to find more applicants for work, we lost so many people after that siege that we need to find all the able-bodied people we can to work. You're coming with me." Blossom reached out and, without asking permission or even gauging if he would flinch away as if she were diseased, grasped onto his hand firmly and began to trot out of the tailor's, giving the man behind the counter a grateful wave before passing through the doorway and back into the summer heat.

"I just think it would be nice if we both worked at the cafe, you know? I've gotta look after you since Jaren's not here to do it, and, I mean, unless you already have another job..." Blossom headed for the fair, spirits already lifted even higher. "It'll be fun! You'll get a uniform and everything if Ganon and Aruna are okay with you working there, and the people that go there are really nice. It's a good place."

And he was being dragged away again, immediatly out of his comfort zone he began to blush and only started hearing every other word she said. "C-C-Cafe? N-no I don't have another job... u-uniform?"

Blossom nodded energetically. "Uh-huh! A uniform! I can show you mine whenever we're done here, I mean, yours would be a boy's uniform, but you'll get the idea!" Blossom hummed under her breath as they rounded the corner and began to approach the Fair, still holding onto Derrin's hand. The crowd was still fairly thick, after all, and she didn't want to get separated. Her attention was briefly taken by Tibarn standing somewhere deep in the cluster - she could only wonder what exactly was going on - before she noticed a familiar figure through the mess of people. One of which she hadn't seen in much too long.

"Hey, look!" Blossom pointed for Derrin's benefit before waving with her whole arm, calling over. "Lance!" She smiled brightly at Derrin. "Come on!" She pulled them through the crowd, noticing it was mostly thick and difficult to navigate near the center of the fairgrounds, until she had gotten them close enough to speak to the two wiithout having to shout. She waited until the crowd around him had thinned and he wasn't busy speaking before calling out to him, eyes bright, "Lance! Lance, where have you been? You had me worried sick!" She frowned slightly before moving to hug the Errant. "What are you doing here, by the way? I mean, what's this entire set-up for?"

"You want to get to know the town better?" asked the blue-haired girl, confusion evident in her tone of voice as she turned her head to one side. "You mean you're not from around here? I couldn't tell! Then again, Eyris is a big city, so I couldn't really tell who was born here and who wasn't."

"I'm from here though. I've lived in Eyris all my life." Leena added proudly. "I just... don't go exploring all that much. I have too much work to do, that's all."

Stepping in front of a familiar building that was now three times bigger than the smithy of her forefathers, Leena halted. "Well, this is it. Sparkles Jewelry, where magic and dreams are made! ... I made that up, you know. I like to think that everything we forge brings hope to our dear citizens, no matter who they are." Opening the doors, she was the first one inside, amazed on how radiant the sparkles and shines of gems, metals, and some magical glows. How would Enalios see it? Would he think it too extravagant, or would he welcome this bright world she'd created?

User ImageSo she was from here eh? Well that would make it a lot easier for him, because she would at least know the places around here better than he would. If he had any questions he could ask her.

Once they reached her shop, he took in the name, and figured it was fitting. With all the work she had done with her shop, and the way the sparkles and glows were going it was certainly fitting. This was the world of forging sh worked in, and his was in a different form. Together, they would make an excellent team. "This is a bright shop for sure Leena. I figure with the wares we both will be selling, we will be an excellent team!"

He could have gone on for how his work could fit in with hers, though his mind wandered back to that one girl that said she would commission him if he wasn't busy. He would want to head back to his forge later, but right now he had some downtime. His mind then hit something that he remembered. "Right almost forgot...my forge won't always be open because I'm also training in swordsmanship and my axemanship. By chance do you know a place that could help me with these, or at least someone who could help me out?"

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.Watching Enalios's reaction, Leena could guess he was impressed with her shop and everything in it. The assistants she hired were working hard to find the customers anything and everything they wanted, and it didn't look like they needed her yet. That was well, she thought. Today was a good showcase of just how well her business was doing. The compliment on how well the two would work together also further boosted her confidence.

"Oh yes, we'll make a fine team indeed. With a little help from me, I could even try and add some magic to your weapons. You could be selling Light Brands and Wind Swords! Have you ever pictured it...?" she asked, a hopeful sparkle in her eyes as the image came to her.

As she listened on, she learned that Enalios was looking for someone who was an expert in swords and axes. "Ah, so you fight too, probably as a mercenary? I don't mind you being absent from your forge from time to time, but don't make it every day, and we'll be square. ... Hm. I don't know anyone personally who's an expert at both weapons, but we have plenty of groups of warriors around. The guild FEF is a good place to start. There are warriors with all kinds of strengths in that group. They're the ones who won Eyris our victory!" she said proudly.

User ImageSell magical weapons? He hadn't ever thought about that. He has repaired them before, but never sell them. Hm...that was a great idea, but he would decide it later. Magical weapons would probably be something he would sell on different occasions.

Fight as a mercenary? Well he could do that. He also knew that he wouldn't be gone for times day after day. It all depended on how long he would train, and then he would get back to his forge. And the guild a place to start? Well...that was a good start. He figured he would find someone later on. "I'll remember to look into that. Then back to your other question, I hadn't thought about selling magical weapons before now. However, it does sound like a good idea for different occasions."

While things were nice, he felt that it would be best if he went on back to his forge. "The time here has been nice, but I must be getting back. Can't stay away from my shop for long. Till next time Leena." He waved back at her, and started his way back to his forge. All he had to do was wait for customers. He would just sit against the wall with his hammer in hand till then.

Two well worn leather boots that ended at the top of the calves with criss-crossed leather strings going up to just below the knees, stopped as they stepped out into the busy street. The sudden assualt of sound caused the fingers of her right hand to clutch reflexively at her red cloak. The right foot stepped back as the door closed behind her and she whirled around to open it again. Her eyes, a sparkling mixture of amber and crimson, widened as she was greeted by the inside of a dim store room filled with stacked crates and barrels. The Manakete turned around to the street again, her golden wings flared out slightly. This... was not the inside of her home in the Darkling Woods.

Where... was she? The people walked on either side of the street looking from stall to stall or shop to shop. A few seemed curious about the purple haired girl but did not approach her. She watched as a man with what appeared to be a cat's tail walked by while talking to another with bird's wings. Her brow furrowed, was she under some sort of spell? Laughing and conversation blended in all around her like the constant hum of falling rain. She was only able to catch the occasional distinct splash of a word or phrase here and there. Maybe one of these people knew how she got here, or at least where this was. Her right hand clutched the broch of her cloak again as the other reached out gently, as if she was about to touch a work of art. After a moment of hesitation it dropped again to her side. It would probably be better if she did not bother anyone. The sky was a strip above her hemmed in by the pointed roofs of buildings. Her feet spread out a bit and her wings lifted up, preparing to beat. Perhaps if she flew up she would be able to see the woods again. The leathery limbs on her back beat once, twice, and she was off the ground, circling a little in order to get above the straw peaks around her. A cool breeze flowed around her as she reached the open air and looked around. Her stomach twisted as the city continued on all around her ending with walls off in the distance. On parts huge chunks were shattered off the stone, turning the once formiddable defence into a jagged circle of broken teeth. On others newly chipped stone glistened white against its weathered neighbors. Wooden frames were erected around some of the damaged sections and men shuffled back and forth across them. The sun came down in shifting rays, like spears hitting the ground. Memories of battle and the sounds of screams and hissing arrows rushed forth in Myyrh's mind, bulbous and all-encompassing. She shuddered, and forced herself to instead think of the times she had spent with her friends and slowly descended back to the ground.

The shouts of men at stalls echoed across the streets.

"Join the Stonemasons guild! Help rebuild our great city's walls! Leave a mark on Eyris that will stand for a hundred years!"

"Fresh baked bread out of the oven!"

"Directions to the the Guard's booth! Serve your country in its time of need and help win the war!"

Cries like these had been costantly in her ears as she made her way down the market street, and the more she heard the more away from home she felt. This was not the Darkling Woods. A cold feeling spread throughout her body, a new cry for the "Host Club" reached her ears and passed by like the breeze. Someone had to know how she could find her way back regardless of how she got there. The purple haired girl stopped and looked around, quietly gathering the courage to call out to a stranger in the crowd.

-Ephraim-
The talk had ended a while ago, but Ephraim hadn't done anything but really listen and observe his surroundings. The streets were getting busier by the minute and if you were looking for someone in the crowd, you'd have to really focus on them or you might not spot them at all. In particular, Ephraim wasn't looking for anybody..so he thought. There was a particular small girl in the crowd that had caught the lancer's eyes for a moment. Was he imagining things? He'd hate to leave Innes and Joshua hanging but if he didn't catch up to the person or girl, they would get away.

"I'll catch up with you guys later."

Without another word, Ephraim disappeared into the crowd hoping the girl hadn't far. He was still near the host club booth and..that was when she disappeared. He stopped at an opening and turned around. Somehow it seemed nearly impossible that she would be here...yet at the same time...this world that connected to every possible dimension made the impossible possible. He spotted the same clothing color and this time shoved his way through, reached out and grabbed the girl by the arm. Ephraim had a closer look and it was indeed the divine dragon girl.

"....It is you..Myrrh...what...What are you doing here?" That was probably a stupid question, if they ended up here then there's no telling how they got here. More or less, didn't he just answer Innes's question about how he got here? Myrrh obviously wouldn't know how in the name of Magvel she got here. It wasn't until someone crashed into him did he realize he was standing in the middle of a crowd. Ephraim looked around, then pulled the girl by the hand. "This way" guiding her out of the streets toward a restaurant of some sort..or at least outside where it wasn't as clustered as the job streets here.

Finally after catching his breath, Ephraim tilted his head down to the girl, patting her on the head to assure her she was safe.

Where should he begin..?

Just as she took a gulp of air to ask a passing shopper a hand suddenly took hold of the dragon girl's wrist.

"....It is you...Myrrh...what...What are you doing here?"

It could not be... She looked up the source of the voice that she had known so well until two years ago and her red amber eyes widened for the second time that day.

"This way" Before she could respond they were making their way through the crowd before coming to a stop at the opening to an alleyway. Any words she was about to utter were cut off as the lancer patted her on the head. The Manakete felt her cheeks flush before suddenly blurting out.

“B-Brother! Are you alright? Where did you go? Why did you not send word? Where are we?”

The flood of questions stopped as she realized Ephraim might think she was angry with him. The two were paid little heed away from the main traffic and it was easier to talk. Her hand clung to her cloak once as she looked down at the ground.

“Ah, I'm sorry, I did not mean to sound upset. Eirika and I were very worried after you disappeared. What happened Brother?”

Over time the affectionate term had become such a habit to Mryyh that she hardly ever called the Renais king by his name.

Myrrh's little outburst didn't seem to surprise the lancer one bit. Strange, but he's gotten used to it after a while. Nobody really on earth knows how they got here..it just happened..But it seems he made both his sister and Myrrh worry about him. If someone just suddenly up and disappeared it'd be a mystery as well..however, Jehanna's king, Frelia's King....and now the only surviving Manakete had disappeared and ended up here. Ephraim allowed the divine dragon girl to finish her sudden questions before apologizing about her outburst. It wasn't bad and to be honest, Ephraim missed home. He couldn't help but pat her on the head once more.

"Its all right. I'm glad to see you though." he finally mentioned, then proceeded to her other questoins that flew out all at once. "But to answer your questions..yes, I'm all right....Uh...I ended up here, Learania, out of the blue. I couldn't send word because this isn't Magvel and....well....we're in..Learania.....as I stated before....Its.." he paused for a moment, scratching his head. "A different world.." deja'vu ish much? It was probably due to the reason that he had explained all this to Innes not too long ago, and here he was, explaining it again, but this time to Myrrh.

He smiled once more, this time, leading her to a bench to sit down as he took a seat next to her. "I didn't mean to worry you both...though I can't say much of what happened, more of how it happened. " if he remembered, he was on his way to Grado to check how the civilians were after their sudden earthquake. He wanted to make sure that everybody was still all right and out of harms way. After all, Ephraim promised Lyon that he'd look after his country. "I told Eirika I was heading out to Grado...to check up on things..one thing lead to another and I somehow ended up here...What about you, Myrrh?"
