Talent Description: Due to Elise's strong hatred of the Gene-X, she believed that in order to keep up with the freaks on Ludus, she had to be stronger than any normal fighter. This was a resolve that burned brighter than ever when Elise found out that Fenrir had gone back on his word and taken the Gene-X. The talent is simple. For as long as Elise does not have a main style, every skill in her arsenal is made stronger by one rank, but the energy price is the same.
Talent Weakness: Elise may not gain a Main Style or her resolve will diminish.
How did the character get this talent?: When Elise found out that Fenrir had taken the Gene-X, she made sure that if she was the only one on the island who was gonna be normal and still kick a**, then she had to work for it.

RPC Name: Kiya Okami
Level: 1
Main Style: Bloody Razor
Talent Description:
Kiya has a talent that literally allows her to keep going to the end. She will try to get up even if she is nothing but a mangled mess. Even when knocked unconscious, she will get up. Until her body is physically unable to move, she will always continue, until she's dead. No on really knows if she would still get up if she was dead, for Kiya has never died before. Though, there are rumors...
Talent Weakness:
She will not submit, even if that means death. Which isn't always a good thing. She will continue to fight no matter how much pain she's in, which can cause irrecoverable damage sometimes. Even though she will get up even if she's a mess, that doesn't mean she'll be able to fight well. Kiya will want to fight even if she's "swaying in the breeze" so to say, so she could be easy to beat. Plus, should she be unable to get medical help for her wounds, it would most likely end in death.
How did the character get this talent?:
Kiya was picked on when she was little. Was it because of her background? Was it because the other kids didn't understand her? Was it because of all the trouble she got into? No one really knows, all Kiya knows is that she was picked on. One day, three high school boys thought it'd be manly of them to beat up the small girl, so they did. They left her bloody and broken on the side of the street, and Kiya didn't even protest. Ever since then, something clicked in her, she told herself that, from that day forth, they would fight until the bitter end, even if that meant death.
Sample:
Kiya, as usual, was enjoying the spoils of one of the day's robberies she had just committed, that's when it all started. Three big muggers decided to approach her, and wanted to take the small amount of money that she had. Kiya rolled her eyes, why was it that the biggest ones were always to most idiotic? One man came at her, and she wasn't ready. They took her by surprise, and, even though Kiya fought back, she was still just one girl against three guys. Cackling, they began to walk off, Kiya though, dizzy and nearly blinded by all the blood she had lost, crawled her way over to a dumpster and yelled at them.

"Hey....HEY!"

When she finally got the three boy's attention, she snickered.

"My face isn't done with you yet."

So, roaring, one of the men decided to run at her to tackle her. Big mistake. Kiya, through her haze, managed to sidestep and grab onto the back of his shirt. The man, loosing his footing in some of her blood, slipped, and rammed his head into the dumpster Kiya had just been leaning on hard enough to not only dent, but crack the dumpster. As the man collapsed in a moaning heap, blood began to slowly tickle down his head, he probably wasn't going to get up soon. The other man, a big small but still all the stupid, drew a knife and ran at her. Pulling back his arm, he swung it upwards to try and stab her up in the ribs to her heart. Kiya met his arm with her leg. Wrapping it around his arm, she managed to duck down and hit his knees nearly out of place. As the man flailed behind her, another man came up to stab her, Kiya took some of the stab on her arm, that was going to leave a mark. As the man swung back down, Kiya shoved her forearm up to meat his, guiding the knife away from her. As she twisted his hand around, she disarmed him with grabbing him by the throat, tripping him, and throwing him to the ground.

Kiya was getting dizzy, and she couldn't quite see straight. She needed to get to the hospital, and bad. But, there was still the matter of the other guy she had tried to trip up, who was now charging towards her. Kiya couldn't take this anymore, she would have to resort to old tactics. So, as the man rushed towards her, she sidestepped him, grabbed his passing arm, she twisted it. A sickening pop could be heard as she rammed him against the alley wall, her other shoulder digging into his now dislocated shoulder blade. As the man cried out, Kiya allowed him to fall. As he scrambled away, she looked over the now bloody scene that lay before her in the alley. Growling, Kiya clutched her head and closed her eyes, breathing heavily, she would begin to sway. Yeah, she really needed to get to a hospital. So, slowly stumbling her way out of the alley, she walked a few blocks before collapsing in the City Square.

The last thing she would hear before she blacked out would be the sirens of an ambulance and people rushing around her...

RPC Name: Jack BlackBurn
Level: 1
Main Style: Kinetic Weaponry
Talent Name: Unbreakable Will of Madness
Talent Description: The talent is one that Jack has had for a long time. Endless hours of torment and beatings has allowed Jack to adapt to the situations of the past. It allows Jack to simply keep fighting, to keep going, even past the point to where his body is couldn't possibly get back up under normal circumstances....but there is more to this technique than meets the eye. At first, it was simply a way to stand the pain, a way to keep living, but after a tragic event, the talent turned into something else entirely.

Do to a certain event, Jack developed a persona simply called BlackJack. He resides inside Jacks mind, often taunting him in his dreams. When under a situation where Jack is about to die, or, when he is filled with hatred and anger, Jack's will to stay sane falters, temporarily giving into the madness within him. Though its not actually BlackJack in control, Jack takes on much of his personality, proving that BlackJack is indeed a major part of Jack's psyche.

In this state, not only does he keep fighting, but he keeps fighting with a renewed and increased strength/speed, going beyond human limitations of what is normal. However, the drawbacks are severe. Jack is not mentally stable in this state, and has no regard for his well being. The result, Jack is pushing himself well beyond human limits. Muscles are severed, bones are cracked, skin is torn, blood is lost in large quantities. In this state, unless he defeats his opponent, is knocked out, or killed, Jack will keep going until he dies with a maniacal look of dreadful glee.

Talent Weakness: In this state, Jack's body is undergoing tremendous stress. At the best, if Jack is in good shape when he enters this state, the most he will do is wear out his muscles extremely fast. If he isn't in the best shape, like if he is bleeding all over the place, then the risk is increased even more as blood is pumping through the body at 2x the normal rate making him bleed out faster...and when Jack hits something, with something like his fist, he uses as much strength as he could, causing bones to break.

In short, as a tradeoff for such insane ability, Jack is systematically destroying his body until he can fight no more. The only way to get Jack out of the state is to convince him to stop being insane, kill him, knock him out, or wait for him to eventually kill himself.

How did the character get this talent?: As said before, Jack was bullied every day, every night. The beat him up every day, so Jack adapted to his enviroment, developing an extremely strong will to not let pain get the best of him. In this state, Jack could always be able to walk home when under pain strong enough to cripple a large man. He could feel the pain of course..he just didn't let it get the best of him.

By the time he got to highschool, Jack's psyche had major mental scars...but besides that, Jack was able to keep sane, keep living. He met a girl named Myra who he befriended, she teached him how to defend himself, how to believe in himself. If it wasnt for her, Jack would have never gotten into swordplay. But one day, he got in trouble with the mafia, and they kidnapped Myra to lure Jack into their grasp.

There, they killed Myra in front of his eyes, the only friend, the only person that ever cared for him. It was in that moment something snapped inside of him, all the darkness he carried manifested into BlackJack..and not one of the mafia members left that room alive.

Sample: As the gunshot sounded, Jack watched in horror as Myra died before his eyes...and it was in that one moment...the fate of the mafia members was decided.

Laughing maniacally, Jack sprung into action, a face of crazed madness presented itself to the mafia as he first attacked the one pointing the gun at him. It was pure instinct that Jack reached for the knife on the mans waist, and soon as he did that, Jack sliced the mans throat open within a matter of seconds.

Everyone then opened fire, but Jacks movements were so abnormally fast and so weirdly inconsistent with regular movement patterns that not a bullet could hit him. It was then that Jack systematically cut down everyone in the room. The knife found itself first embedded upwards through someones chin, right into there brain, and the now dead body was being used as a shield for blocking bullets, and when Jack got close enough, he pounced on the other guy in front of him, literally stabbing through the body of the man he had already killed, and stabbing into the other man directly behind him.

Another shot was fired but this time if found itself the mark, embedding itself on the side of Jacks neck. The mafia man was horrified however to see that Jack was still standing with blood gushing out of the side of his neck like a demonic fountain. It wasn't long before that man was dead as well.

To Jack, the pain he was undergoing was intense, but he didn't care, all he cared about was, "Kill kill kill kill kill kill kill kill kill"! The sounds of the men dying one by one could be heard screaming for miles as the builiding Jack was in was flashing up like a christmas tree due to all the lights from the guns firing. And then all was silent..

The paramedics arrived on the scene, only to find a room full of decapitated corpses. In the middle of it...Jack laid on the floor unconscious on deaths door. The medics put him on a stretcher since he was still alive. Jack would live another day.

((OOC: You know me Fen, Im a good RP'er, you know I wont abuse this...))

The weaknesses aren't enough? Could have sworn potential death could have been a good buffer for that...weird...

Oh well..time to think up another variation...

I'm willing to approve it but I'd like to see a sample of how it will be used first.

jwalker: This almost sounds like it would be better as a custom skill than a talent, but if this is what you want for it then fine. Increase the Ki cost to 10, it will count as an E-rank attack. Approved.

RPC Name: Ignis
Level: 1
Main Style: Hell's Grasp
Talent Name: Maiden of Flame

Talent Description: In fits of intense emotion (usually anger), the intensity of her fire in terms of both heat, and speed of movement are exponentially increased. Any techniques that includes fire is raised by one rank, and any technique that includes shooting, hurling, or just plain out using fire as a projectile..the fire's speed is slightly (when I say slightly, take the original speed of the projectile being used, and increase it by a quarter of that speed) faster than it would normally be.

She also gains the ability to have her fire resist water attacks as long as the attack is met with another technique of equal rank (meaning that if she is attacked with an S rank water attack, she can meet that attack with an S based fire attack and be on equal footing).

Due to her prior experience, and obsession with fire itself, she is no stranger to being burned and as has trained herself to ignore the pains that come with handling fire. She is not immune to burns, rather she is immune to the pain the burns could inflict. (All other forms of pain still affect her).

Aesthetic Qualities: Whenever the talent is put into use, Ignis's eyes glow bright red with a fiery aura, and the air around her skin is slightly distorted due to the heat her body begins to give off. This is all purely aesthetic however serving no purpose, in fact, these qualities can act as a warning sign to opponents.

Talent Weakness:

- When this talent is put into use, whatever technique she uses is treated as one rank more powerful, but to compensate for it, she must use the amount of ki used for that rank. For example, say she uses an E-Rank attack while using this talent, normally, she would pay 10, but because her talent increases the ability to a D Rank attack, she must pay 25.

- This can only be used in extreme fits of emotion and desperation.

- Prolonged exposure to fire while utilizing this talent will cause burns. Ignis can go 2 posts straight without be burned but after that she will begin to start gaining 1st degree burns (usually on the body parts that is responsible for executing the technique, so techniques that require lets say the hands of Ignis, will begin to burn her hands). After another 2 posts, if the talent is still in affect, she will begin to acquire 2nd degree burns, and after another 2 posts, she will begin to acquire 3rd degree burns. If Ignis is still utilizing this talent at that point, after another 2 posts, Ignis will burn to death. Below is a chart detailing its mechanics.

1-2 posts: No burns
3-4 posts: 1st degree burns
5-6 posts: 2nd degree burns
7-8 posts: 3rd degree burns
9-10: 3rd degree burns but once Ignis reaches 10 straight posts of using the talent, Ignis burns to death.

Ignis can attempt to avoid this drawback to a degree, but by doing so presents yet another drawback. By switching off her talent (usually by calming herself down) Ignis can reset the burn clock, but by doing so presents a cooldown. For as many posts that Ignis utilized her talent, she must wait that many posts in order to use it again. So if she used her talent 5 posts in a row, she must wait 5 posts before she is able to use it again.

- During the cool-down phase, all other techniques that are not fire based cost double its ki amount. The reason why is because her ki is so attuned with fire while utilizing her talent, it has a very hard time attempting to do anything else but fire techniques. This weakness is cancelled once the cool-down phase is over, so as long as she doesn't use the talent, her ki is both normal and stabilized.

-Due to the aesthetics implemented by the talent, opponents can determine when the talent is activated or not. Using intelligent thinking, and taking advantage of Ignis's personality, the weaknesses associated with the talent can come to light.

- Fire is Ignis's weapon, she wouldn't dare use anything else. As such, Ignis will not and cannot learn weapon styles as long as she possesses this talent. She also cannot use any weapons besides fire. As such, Ignis cannot apply for custom weapons.

- Fire is all that Ignis is interested in while fighting, she could care less about fighting styles, still, she acknowledges the fact that some fighting styles are useful, but nowhere near as great as her beloved flames. As such, if she was to learn a Martial Arts Sub-Style, she could only learn one skill each rank, and each skill takes double amount of posts to learn.

- If it ain't hot, Ignis ain't interested. Her unwillingness to learn skills not fire based hinder her from learning techniques at the same rate as most people. Any skill that isn't fire based, she must take double the amount of posts required to learn.

((NOTICE TO FENRIR: No man, this isn't a super, awesome, masochistic, insano form, super saiyan 5000000 type deal. It doesn't increase physical strength, speed, or defensive capabilities. It just makes fire attacks one rank stronger and able to withstand water attacks to a certain degree. Just thought I needed to clear that up cause after re-reading this myself, I knew it could be easily misinterpreted that way.))

How did the character get this talent?: Shortly after acquiring and injecting the Gene-X within herself, her love and spiritual connection with fire manifested into a more powerful, but also unstable Hell's Grasp style. Ignis already had previous experience with use of fire prior to arriving at Lodus, as she often credits fire to keeping herself sane, and alive. So when the Gene-X entered her system, the existing ki within her body was already so interconnected with heat that it only served to amplify that connection, giving birth to an unusual strand of the Hell's Grasp main style.



Talent Summary: The talent has 3 benefits and 8 weaknesses. The major benefits being that she can't feel the pain of burns, her fire techniques are increased in power by one rank, and the fire has the ability to resist water as long as it is the same rank. Some of the major weaknesses being that she can get burned to death if using the talent long enough, can't wield weapons, has limited martial arts capabilities, and can only be used when in a extreme fit of emotion.

jwalker: Approved, but your character must wait until she's level 3 before she can discover this talent. This is because she will only have been just getting the gene-x and will need some time to get used to it before she can tap into any hidden potential.
