Apparently someone caught sight of Nyx's sandwich pilfering efforts because the Galactic boss suddenly pointed at the fluffy-haired Rocket. "Tethys!" He announced, seemingly pointing out the thief.
"She looks hungry. Give her a sandwich." With that, he chomped down on his own sandwich and resumed his work, mouth full.

The attention was pulled away from the work he was doing, when the other galactic came over, and the boss exclaimed happily, something about Chicken. Faleen looked up, eyes blinking a couple of time, looking in complete shell shock, staring at this man in front of her, in a childlike manner taking the sandwich.
the situation was only made worse when it appeared that the women was preparing... a juice box for the man. Something Faleen hadn't seen since she was in elementary school.
Her face might have gotten a little paler, or it was just that she leaned back to sit up straighter, away from the yellow glow of her Umbreon's rings. How... how could an invalid like this, a man who sipped from juice boxes and had to be lead around so pathetically by his lower ranks have created something like the G-ball, be doing something like this to their Rocket Dex!
Umbreon lowed his head a little, eyes on his master Faleen, who was looking rather frazzled about something... she was sitting very still. Tech babble usually made Faleen happy, what had that man said to her!

Tethys had folded her arms, choosing to monitor the conversation - or take the juice box once Deimos was done - but movement caught her eye. She whipped her head towards Nyx and jerked the bag out of her grasp - but paused in that position, half-turned, sandwiches upraised.
Tethys looked slowly at her leader. Then Nyx. Then back.
"Yes, sir."
The pale woman gazed at Nyx while she unwrapped one of white squares, peeling the rustling wax paper back like a banana's skin and tucking it to make a holder. The food was extended stiffly in utter silence.
Once it was taken, Tethys disavowed all awareness of Nyx's existence and turned her attention to the downcast Faleen.
"What is it." Her eyes glittered like ice chips. "Do you want one too?"

Glancing up at Nyx when she had moved over, and was eventually given a sandwich, after the Galactic Boss' order. she looked from her white haired friend though, over to the women, Tethys when she spoke to Faleen.
The Agent stared back in silence as she gathered her voice. Sandwitch? did she really want one? probably not, right now all she wanted was to go back to base, go back to her own robots, her own tech projects, her lab where things made sense and she didn't feel so utterly outclassed.
"Sure..." she muttered in reply, looking back at what Deimos was doing once again as he started his work up.

A third sandwich was unwrapped and handed over with considerably less vehemence.

Nyx huffed, irritated at her thieving plans being foiled, but took the sandwich nonetheless--She was hungry after all. The agent moved to stand next to Faleen, munching her 'lunch' quietly. She had no idea what was going on, besides that the weird galactic boss was making a laser out of the pokedexes, but she wasn't a tech-person, she was a scientist person.

Faleen reached a hand up, taking it wordlessly, though by habit glancing up at Tethys when the food was taken.
Nyx moved over next to her, Faleen then moved to glance up at her, in a silent greeting... and feeling a bit better with her close by while she watched Deimos' work.
Faleen didn't eat the sandwich at first, holding the food for some time, before a piece was torn off, and handed down to her Umbreon, who sniffed it cautiously, and accepting it once he was sure it wasn't going to kill him.

They were, in all fairness, pretty good sandwiches. The bread was thick and soft, the mayonnaise tangy, the thinly sliced turkey kept company by an array of lettuce, tomato, pickles and cucumber slices.
Things clicked in the shadows as the Sableye scrounged for edible semi-precious crystals.

After a while longer spent working, and munching on sammiches, Deimos broke the silence suddenly with a loud shout, "I've got it!" He snapped the casing back on the pokedex. It now had an extra battery strapped to the side of it and various wires sticking out. "The holographic arrays were weaker than I'd anticipated, but it might be strong enough to get through. It'll depend on how tempered the iron is."
Smiling, he hopped to his feet and crossed the cavern in bouncy steps. Andre glared at passing Rockets from his shoulder. "Alright, let's see here.." He flipped the pokédex around to face the thick bars and pushed the power button. It made its typical start up noise before the projected screen turned on. Only instead of a projected screen a red beam shot out the front of the dex. It hit the bar and smoke started to rise from it.
Deimos frowned, leaning forward slightly as he watched. Moments passed.. smoke continued to rise. Deimos' eyebrows knit together. "........it's not cutting through.. ......the iron must be heat treated..." He sounded very disappointed.
"...what? After all that you can't cut through?"
Deimos tensed and turned an indignant glare on TRP, "It's not my fault!!" His voice had turned shrill, "These holo-emitters should have had beams twice as focused as this!"

Well, that was certainly a let down. Nyx stepped forward, scratching her head and looking carefully at the iron door. "Hm..." And then a light bulb came on; "Quench it!" Nyx stated enthusiastically. She was the one who suggested jumping into the volcano to go after a Ho-Oh egg, something so trivial as a heat treated iron door wouldn't stop her!

Some way across the cavern, the distinct sound of a large hand connecting with a face could be heard. Letting out a long slow sigh, Aulus splayed his fingers and looked out through the gaps for a few moments before dropping it back by his side. "Well," he muttered sullenly, "that's just peachy." Still stuck in a cave with a trio of loons and or creeps with limited air. Perfect. His day could not get better.

Tearing off a few more pieces of her sandwich for Umbreon, scratching at her head when the laser didn't work, and Damos got defensive, he blamed the function of the Dex holo. Not that they were particularly made for laser making in mind.
I twas a disappointment that it didn't work, they gave up their Dex for this. and they were still stuck, She started to try and think of another option, when Nyx voiced up hers, and it was a good one to. This caused the Agent to look over at the scientist. "Ah, what do you require for this?"

Oh, lovely, let's have a picnic in the unstable underground cavern they had been sealed in alongside their enemies by numerous cave-ins. Let them eat if they wanted to, then; Aila couldn't but be impressed by the astounding lack of urgency in the chamber.
The moments dragged on indefinitely. Having given up her 'dex, the small agent didn't even have a means of keeping track of the time anymore. It was frustrating. Fortunately it wasn't an unbearable length of time before their little leader was squealing over some success and prancing over to the door to try out his monstrosity.
And it failed. Of course. Best day ever.
Nyx's recommendation - proposed, thank goodness, for anyone had time to get their hands around the purple-haired man's throat - made good sense, and Aila voiced a quiet agreement, "Rapid heating and cooling, to make it brittle. Perhaps Water Gun or Ice Beam?" That Tethys woman had her Starmie, and Aila had observed quite a few Ice Beams during the assault against the Golem.

Aaand it didn't work. Of course. Lovely. Wonderful.
She sighed, but pulled a pokeball from her belt. Alexina appeared in the flash of light, and Claire pointed to the door. "Ice Beam the door when need be. Understood?"
"Laaa," she chirred, not exactly sure what that meant but if they all wanted her to do it, then she could. With that, she pranced over and circled in front of the door, waiting to see if they wanted her to try and freeze it yet or not.

Nyx looked over at Aila and frowned momentarily, displeased that she had explained a facet of her idea, but the expression disappeared quickly. "... Precisely! Heat it with fire attacks and cool it with water or ice attacks." The scientist reached to her belt and pulled off two pokeballs as she spoke, releasing an albino blastoise and her charizard.
