The girl shrieked and jumped but it was not because of his roar. At least he had managed to scare some of the other students but that wasn't really his main goal here. With a look of defeat, Jericho sighed and let his head hang down before glaring at the guy that was the cause of her fear. Now this dude looked more like one of them. Maybe he was? The fact that he didn't seem to be very aware of their presence told him otherwise.
But this girl made one point very clear... she couldn't see any of them.
Jericho was trying to think of anything that might work, but something stopped near them. It was one of the metal boxes. Looking towards Malodore, he quickly nodded in agreement, mentally appraising the doctor for its quick actions to try and pop a tire. Just because they couldn't be seen or heard didn't mean they couldn't affect this world somehow! Right?
"One problem with that Sammy," he started, "how would we get it to stop where we needed to? Who knows where they could take us."

Sammy paused for a moment standing where the two humans had just stood. Jericho did have a valid point and so for a few minutes she seemed to be thinking how this would work. Eventually she raised a single bone finger. "One; we wait for someone else to get on. Two; maybe they stop here regardless? Third; what if someone wants to come here and it stops? I think if we wait we'll get a ride. If not, well, I don't know honestly after that Jericho, but what more can we do?"

Maladore had the right idea, in trying to experiment with the environment, but perhaps he was not quite ready for the result.
That is, the bus squealed, the tires lurched, and it took off again. The knife he had thrown had gone right through its target and had dissipated into thin air upon reaching too far a distance.
In fact, perhaps some of the usually more solid students would have finally picked up that not only the ghosts, but they themselves had one foot, or a hand, or maybe a spare limb that was currently protruding right through a gravestone marker. The ghosts probably didn't feel any different.

The force of jericho's roar alone was enough to send Astra tumbling backwards and onto her backside. And while it was impressive, she was still quite annoyed. 'hmph!" she folded her arms, but was also quick to noticed the humans weren't screaming or running away. It seemed like they really couldn't see them. However, the goth looking boy next to them seemed to be staring straight at them. Maybe he could?
However, While jericho could roar and look scary at a moments notice. Astra...couldn't. How was she supposed to act scary? As she pondered this, she stepped backwards to sit on one of the tombstones, but then let out a yelp as she went straight through it, giving the impression that her legs were now sticking out of it.
"ahhh! whats going on?!" she squeaked, legs flailing. "help! I can't see!"

Aksaja blinked as he suddenly noticed that part of his leg was . . . inside of a tombstone. "I think . . . we're all a bit like ghosts, here. Though it could still be a bad idea to just run across there." He frowned, poking at another tombstone while trying to think of himself as going through it. If they could do that with everything . . .

As the scaple aimlessly bounced along Sammy could only stare slack jawed. "Are you... you have too...." letting out a groan of irritation she turned towards the others moving back before stomping out into the street towards the pendent. "Why can't things be NORMAL just once when we end up in these strange places!"[ Where Riley once stood ready to attack a car Sammy stood now, although she was actually in the road watching as the next car came at her, "FRACK YOU HUMANS!" she shouted waving a fist at the oncoming (and supposedly harmless metal maybe not really a death trap).

West crossed his arms, growling low in his chest when Jericho's impressive roar did absolutely nothing to scare these stupid creatures. And Malodore's scalpel...
What was going on here?
"Noyoose standin' 'round here then," West muttered, unraveling his arms from their angry pretzel and starting after the screaming ghoul in the street. If what the plague doctor said was true, nothing could hurt them anyway.

Before he could respond to Sammy, Jericho saw the knife go straight through the tire without leaving a dent. His jaw dropped slightly before looking down to see his foot going through a gravestone marker.
"FLIPPING JACK!!" he cried out while jumping. Did they all just die and become ghosts? No that couldn't be right since ghosts were sent to Halloweentown... not the other way around.
With a sigh, he looked towards Mal and nodded slowly, "Yeah most likely. Though I'm not sure why your knife just disappeared like that."
Rubbing his head, he just went on after Sammy and West to cross the street. It was slightly intimidating still since he wasn't really used to being like this but that wasn't about to slow him down.

Riley watched the scalpel disappear, and her eyebrows furrowed slightly. It wasn't the lack of substance that she feared - but the fact that the item in question was no longer there. This could spell trouble.
Speaking of trouble.. there went Sammy, without a thought or care. WAIT, Sammy! You don't know-
Riley lifted a hand and walked towards her, but stopped when she realized she had just walked right through a tombstone. She turned around, and sent her hand through the stone a few times, distractedly intrigued by her insubstantial presence.
Still. Sammy.
She followed, walking right out into the street to try and stop Sammy - or, perhaps, just to walk through it with her.

Aksaja frowned as suddenly several people just started walking into the street. "Hey! Waitaminute, we don't know if it's everything here or . . . " Oh Jack. Moving toward the street himself, he inched over toward the closest person, West, prepared to grab his arm and yank him back if a metal-thing got too close. Dammit, they needed to plan these things out!

Oohhhh. So that's what's going on.
Mr. Malodore was a genius!
However, the rest of the students looked rather odd, and much like her - intangible in places, though Kasumi herself felt no different. Blinking, she tilted her head and pointed at Malodore. "Ah, Mr. Malodore, sir, have you become a ghost and not told me?" She walked closer to him to touch him lightly on the shoulder, pondering the results.
"It seems to me that if we get too far away from each other, we will disappear? Like the knife? I for one do not wish to end up that way so... perhaps it's best to continue in pairs?" She tugged at Malodore's arm gently. "You had an excellent idea, sir."
She decided to follow Malodore's idea and began to wander towards one of the buses to push on it. Could she actually touch it, or were they all intangible?

Turning she saw others marching out behind her and just as quickly Riley was at her side after giving a shout. "Yeah I know I told you not too earlier." Offering a hand to Riley she got a sneer of a grin, "Well it's your lucky day. C'mon Riley, I promise you can knock me out later if this is a bad idea." Turning she stared out at the road once more and the oncoming cars.

"No danger?" Good news to Barth.
He tapped his own fingers together experimentally. He wasn't going through himself (he didn't think). He went ahead and inched out onto the freeway. The last thing he needed was being stuck here.
Although the fast metal transit devices...and that's what he was pretty sure they were, now that he could see one stopped and what were almost certainly wheels...would make going from one location to another much easier.
He wondered if he could make something similar and properly get through that Creature Feature maze.

"Be careful," Malodore cautioned, also remembering how its blade had fizzled into nonexistence - and that had been one of its better scalpels, too! It definitely agreed with Kasumi, nodding soberly at her. "Si - we should move in a group, I think. Once we make absolutely certain that the phasing is genuine..."
Overcautious, perhaps, but that was its job.
